There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

coin ad...
According to the developers of that coin, some parts will never go open source. Draw your own conclusions.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already (assume it has), but what date has the dev stated they will attempt the hardfork/fix for node payments? 2 weeks or so from now?

I may pick up some spare drk during the lull, depending on what the price does. Just wondering how long I may have.

2 weaks-ish from now, no date announced yet.. may be sooner, just keep an eye out really and snatch up the cheap ones. I imagine you won't be alone.

Yes completely safe. Make sure you use the latest wallet is all.

There was a hiccup implementing masternode payments. That is being fixed and a bit more testing to make the next update perfect.

Darkbids is up and running but needs your help to be successful. We need auctions! Make some extra DRK by auctioning your unneeded items on Darkbids.com.

OK, gonna give this another try!  LOL  Yaaay!

Wow.

Would that RC3 payouts were running now. Nearly 2 BTC per month masternode with current masternode population.

Lets have more of those "crashes" please  Cheesy

fixed … is about payment for Masternodes,
has nothing to do with the coin itself or transfers

What's with cryptonote? Do they have a bug in their wallets or is it user error?

What's with CryptCoin? Devs trying to bribe exchanges, or technical problems?

I'm seriously shocked with the amount of naive people holding all these coins - while the same group of people led by a group of herders get their stash of BTC growing...  Shocked
Can one not take conclusion from the history?
Yeah.... the next big alt, come give us your BTC.

I don't get into these even for a quick pump profit, just out of a principle.

Guys, you all are asking what future darkcoin has? What does Evan Duffield actually fixed?

If you can analyze recent fails with spontaneous forks, Duffield DO NOT CONTROL behaviour of his Darkcoin. He failed TWICE. First time, he failed the anonymous transactions feature. Second time, he failed JUST payment to masternodes.

Not only his fails do matter. His PROMISES that 'we have tested new features on the testnet very well' - that PROMISES do matter.

What Duffield says on criticism? When main bitcoin developer asked Duffield, he says like... 'Darkcoin is just project for FUN, like new Dogecoin'.

So, this info for think only. I have completely switched to Monero.
