Where is XC now !??

Who cares let's get back to talking about DRK..

So we all update our clients, masternode payments start, once everything is rock solid we update again with full voting rules? Am I understanding correctly?

ie. Masternode payments will start soon without the danger of a failed fork?

Correct.  Mastenodes will be paid.  However this time rather than have the network actually reject blocks, all blocks will be accepted and the blocks that the network thinks should be rejected will be recorded in the debug log.  By checking the log over the course of some time, the devs can determine if any blocks are being inappropriately rejected (this was the cause of all the forking issues) and these bugs can be fixed without stopping payments.

Once all is well in the debug log DRK can then be safely hardforked to allow bad blocks to actually be rejected.

You know what... now that I think about it.... go ahead. Everybody buy more and more masternodes... who cares. Invest your life savings in DRK, why not.
You will play into the feedback loop that will make mining more profitable evertime you take 1000 DRK off the market.

So please, just do as you wish, lol ...  Grin

Not running any master node myself. And yes, I could if I wanted. Multiple.
Yeah, less talk more proof.
Also, never invest you live savings or anything like that in crypto. Tomorrow it could all be worth nothing.

Smiley Thanks for the advise.

For those who haven't been keeping with our competitors this weekend...

Cryptcoin has exploded spectacularly immediately after that BTC-E rumour pump.

XC just announced lolzy marraige plans with an obscure alt called CacheCoin! Plans include swapping each-others core features, synch each-others live blockchains so they can do things to each-other, doing a "complete rewriting of the satoshi codebase", and making everything work on something called "proof of blockchain". Maybe someone had a sale on hot air & whitepapers. Despite a lots of publicised photo ops happening at the same time XC has fallen amongst disbelieving protests from the less gullible XC people, but tiny CacheCoin has already jumped from 90th to 67th in market cap in a few hours (no doubt the insiders who knew about the marraige have done very well for themselves).

However tempting it might be please don't go trolling them when they're down, it's entertaining enough just to sit with popcorn. Grin

Scam exposed by the devs, secret blocks holding vast number of coins, yet Cryptcoin still has plenty of buy orders. Proof that you can steal crypto candy from a baby and get away with it.

Where is XC now !??

I guess we are ignoring our biggest competitor yet. Monero. Is it any good or it is just another scam coin hyped up?

For those who believe in the magic of TA, I don't know if you have noticed but after the last few days shenanigans the 3 day candle documenting the crash turned into a giant green doji - a doji is generally considered to be a sign of trend reversal.

The last few days also did no more than to extend the bullish pennant.

Taking into consideration where we are, if the developers manage to make overall successful gains as they implement masternode payments, and then RC4, I would say that the downwards trend since 25 May - the first major drk bubble pop - is over and the trend is now up for at least 2 months (using the longer-term charts).

Monero could be a competitor 6-12 months from now. They have a LOT of work to do before it's even usable by the average person. Also, there are many disadvantages to Monero, and at this point it isn't certain that they will be fixed.

In my books a doji is indecision in the market. The market needs more information and developer action for it to react in price levels. We are not out of the woods yet.

I like many coins like Darkcoin, Monero, NXT, etc..just dont tell lies.

Monero only needs a GUI wallet and it's perfect. Truthfully, it has the best anonymity available through Ring Signatures, along with a team of 7 devs...
Other than the GUI wallet, there are no other things needed. Scaling/Bloating has been fixed through upgrading the pool software..since it was the pools sending out dust transactions that bloated the blockchain..

While Monero offers the best anonymity there is , Darkcoin also offers masternodes, which I think with their  payouts, will be the standard for all Bitcoin based coins and may be a great incentive for mining as it takes 1000 coins out of the supply, which in turn drives the price up, making more people want to mine, a perfect cycle.

You're forgetting that there is a magic underway for RC4... RC3 is just masternode payments. RC4 will address anonymity, and Evan does have a few cards up his sleeves. While Monero might work (I dunno if it does or not), Darkcoin is true innovation. That is a huge plus

Again, Darkcoin is based off coinjoin, and coinjoin is not that anonymous, as said by the Maker of coinjoin himself, jmaxwell...

Monero's anonymity is the best there is..

I don't usually do this to a coin, but I don't like when you lie about other coins to further your own coin. Monero and Darkcoin are both very innovative and shouldnt argue about one over the other. IMO, they serve different purposes. Monero is the true anonymity sending coin, and Darkcoin is the more open masternode payments/transactions coin if you get that.
