No, you shouldn't need to touch your MNs at all if all you've done is upgrade your local/cold wallet.dat file(s).

I am new to DarkCoin mining and was wondering about being a Masternode.  I know there is a 1000 coin minimum but what needs to be done to "activate" it, is it Start DarkSend Mixing....thanks in advance....keith

No, Darksend mixing is different. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/taos-masternode-setup-guide-for-dummies.2680/

Although I would suggest a different provider than Vultr.

My last MN payment was 0.9 DRK. How did it come up with that number?

Smiley hi guys

for those who cant wait for enforcement ON, sell your coins and move away... you dont understand what is being done here!

i know its much to handle for you... you got your masternode working and expecting payments are ok... but understand if you want to have MN payments to work like swiss clock... we need to let evan do his thing

i setup my 1st MN on VULTR ( i know i know... but for start its perfect )
2015-01-29 14:06:45

You need to separate out the 3 beasts.
1) Darkcoin mining- this is fairly standard and uses 'sgminer' to confirm the blockchain transactions of Darkcoin and search for blocks like other miners such as cgminer.
2) Darksend mixing- on demand via the wallet,this uses the unique 2100 (and rising) masternodes around the world to mix and anonymize your darkcoins (held in your wallet)
3) Masternodes - you must send 1000 darkcoins exactly to your wallet and then can set up a masternode that will help mix other people's coins and also enable the instantX ultra fast confirmations (being tested in testnet right now). For this service you will be paid a % of the network's global mining which is currently at 37.5 %. This is not direct mining as such but more a proof of service.
http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/masternodes_map/

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

---LIVE--- ISG3D PRINTS A 3d DARKCOIN!

Check it out!

[Man who has no comprehension of the difference between a "darkcoin" and this physical representation]

A few questions:

So do these ISG3D people have a QT wallet somehow connected to their 3D printer?

Does the software automatically decrement one DRK from their wallet when it's finished printing?

Are the 3D printer versions of DRK fungable with the virtual ones?

How do I transfer the value held back into virtual (i.e. is there like an "unprint" button?)

it is actually a bummer
as we gave them a great 3D coin from Raptor
they should have used that to make a "coin"
and not a logo !
