Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash Debate Privacy, while Dash Races Ahead 
Bitcoin redditors are debating about the necessary privacy strengths needed and the potential methods to accomplish those goals. On the Bitcoin subreddit, some talked about updating the code to add additional security features, some mentioned mixing features, while others advocated for the Lightning Network’s ability to increase privacy. They also pondered how governments around the world would react to various privacy initiatives and how it would affect adoption rates.
On the BTC subreddit, which is mostly populated with Bitcoin Cash proponents, redditors talked about potential new privacy sweep protocols and the CashShuffle protocol to improve privacy. Bitcoin Cash users also discussed how increasing privacy features would affect adoption rates and government attention. Many topics had a long and hefty debate with valid points being made on all sides, but no single overarching privacy consensus seems to be predominant. |

Dash DAO Runs Into Treasury Limits, Sees Reprioritization and Focus on Efficiency The Dash decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) has run into funding limits, forcing a reprioritization of projects and an increase in efficiency.
Originally formed to assist in development funding, the Dash treasury system allows the masternode network to vote on funding proposals to claim the 10% of new coins created set aside for the treasury. Initially, funding development occupied most of this function, with the occasional small community project acquiring funding as well. During 2017, however, the treasury’s capacity to fund projects grew exponentially along with the increase in Dash’s price, resulting in a surge of projects funded by the network, which this year has hit limitations of the treasury’s current ability to fund projects. |

Cryptocurrencies Making Connections with Sports Fans Former NBA Commissioner David Stern, has come out of retirement to campaign for the involvement of cryptocurrencies and blockchains in the sports industry.
Mr. Stern, who significantly increased the popularity of the NBA in the 1990s and 2000s, said that he used to believe that cryptocurrencies and blockchains were a “modern day version of the tulip frenzy that would come to nothing and fizzle out”. However, he later “came to understand that blockchain technology had much to offer with respect to a range of transactions in many different industries, like the sports sector”. |

Dash is Fueling Up Brazilians Recently, Ezequiel with Dashbr.com visited Felipe, the owner of SP – Brazil / Businees: Auto Posto GP8 LTDA, which is a gas station in Jundiai, Brazil (~ 50km/30miles outside of São Paulo) that accepts Dash as payment for gas.
Dash Force News talked with Felipe more about how Dash is fueling the local population. Felipe first mentioned how they had originally accepted Bitcoin, but because of high fees and high confirmation times, they switched to Dash. He emphasized in the video that since they are in a commerce business that focuses on the consumer, “they need to be fast”. Felipe said that they switched to Dash because the wallet is nice and the fees and transaction times are much better. He added how popular Dash has already become at his gas station. |

Dash is Fueling Up Brazilians ~ Brazil and Latin America continent, in general, is one of largest target customer population of DASH project. Hence, this recent movements of DASH project in Brazil might lead to positive results in the near future. I can not disagree with your point, friend! It is smart approach from DASH team to make more partnerships, massive marketing campaigns in order to catch attentions and get more customers, users, supporters in Latin America continent, and Brazil in particular. These are emerging countries and there is big potential for blockchain related projects to grow significantly because of high interest of the people. I also will do agree with you Dash is taking step into good direction to keep their growth healthy and steady. |

SEC Clarifies Cryptocurrency Regulations, Placing Dash in a Unique Position The U.S. Security and Exchange Commission’s chairman, Jay Clayton, further clarified the difference between ICOs and cryptocurrencies.
Mr. Clayton started off by talking about cryptocurrencies by saying that “these are replacements for sovereign currencies; replace the dollar, the yen, the euro”. He said that this “type of security, is not a security”. However, he said that it is a security when it is “a token, [or] a digital asset where I give you my money and you go off and make a venture” and in exchange for investing my money there is a return or you can “get a return in the secondary market”. Jay added that “we regulate that; we regulate the offering of that security and the trading of that security.” |

Dash Embassy D-A-CH Convinces Austrian Crowdfunding Platform, CONDA, To Adopt Dash as Payment Method The Dash Embassy D-A-CH has convinced CONDA to accept Dash as their currency of choice for their new platform that aims to help startups, small and medium sized businesses launch ICOs.
CONDA is currently in their own ICO phase, which they allow to be purchased with DASH as Klaus Hipfinger, one of the founders of Dash Embassy D-A-CH, has already done. Once their ICO is completed, they intend to help other European businesses to “issue 100% legally-compliant security or equity tokens”. CONDA will allow consumers to become a “shareholder of [the] startup you invest in, so the tokens represent the shares in the company you own” and “Dash is the currency you use [to] buy these shares.” as Klaus explains. |
