Dash-Based Merchant Platform, Alt Thirty Six, Partners with Cannabis Wholesale Platform, CannTrade

Alt Thirty Six, the Dash-based payment platform geared towards the cannabis industry, has inked a partnership with CannTrade, the cannabis wholesale platform with over 400 ‘cannabusinesses’.

“CannTrade is the first cannabis-specific B2B marketplace and CRM platform to offer a digital payment solution to cannabis businesses including cultivators, manufacturers, distributors and dispensaries” said the press release. The partnership will now allow CannTrade clients to “make payments through secure blockchain technology that uses Dash digital currency as an alternative to cash”.

Ken Ramirez, co-founder and CEO of Alt Thirty Six, mentioned how this helps advance the cannabis industry.

How much do you need to have now to keep your own node? And another coins are bought now, but write be extremely careful what it means? Huh

If you are talking about owning your own masternode : you will need 1000 Dash and you will need to rent a server somewhere, put Linux OS on it and install and update Dash software.
Server costs are about $10 per month.

Link : https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/taos-masternode-setup-guide-for-dummies-updated-for-12-1.2680/

Below link will provide a breakdown of the costs, excluding the server costs :

Link : https://m1.dash-news.de/dashtv/#curr=USD&value=1000

The 1000 Dash can be bought here : https://docs.dash.org/en/latest/introduction/how-to-buy.html

You can also join other people into setting up a shared masternode (you then dont need to have the full 1000 dash and server maintenance will be done by the operator)

Link : https://docs.dash.org/en/latest/masternodes/hosting.html

masternode.me & Splawik's Hosting Services are shared hosting services that you can look into. These are not trustless solutions by itself, but the services are run by community members with
an excellent reputation. Each service will have its own costs and ROI, so compare then both before making a decision.

Bitcoin Cash advocate Vin Armani interviews Dash Force Joel Valenzuela

This week I had the distinct pleasure of appearing on Vin Armani’s show to talk about Dash.

Vin Armani is a libertarian pundit and cryptocurrency developer and advocate most notable for his support of Bitcoin Cash and development of popular products servicing that ecosystem, including CoinText, a service which allows Bitcoin Cash to be sent via SMS text to users who only have a flip phone and have no internet connection. We spoke about cryptocurrency’s evolution over the years, my story living off of Bitcoin, and subsequently on Dash. We covered why I chose Dash, as well as how it compares to other coins, including Bitcoin Cash. In particular, we covered double-spends in merchant transactions, and how Dash has solved the issue resoundingly where Bitcoin Cash still relies on the security of zero-confirmation transactions.

Questions:

1) Who decided the rules of the dashtalk forum? Are they voted by the dash community or by the Masternodes? Where is the url of the relevant vote/poll?

2) What about all the people that have been banned BEFORE the establishment of the rules, without even giving an explanation for the ban? Will you un-ban them?

3) Some dashtalk moderators, constantly bump threads here in bitcointalk, while at the same time they ban people in dashtalk for bumping threads. And recently, in order to justify their action, the bumping of threads was declared as inappropriate behavior into the new dashtalk forum rules. Here follows an example of a dashtalk moderator who bumps threads in bitcointalk:

The question is, do you think that the behaviour of the dashtalk moderators, here in bitcointalk, is a decent one ?

Thank you.

P.S. the youtube link you provided is not valid.

Amen to the phrase "Onward and upward" and its good to see the rules of Dash Nation now extending towards the Reddit and Dash forum.
Good luck to the additional new moderators, i assume these are : Tao of Satoshi, TroyDash and AgnewPickens and maybe some more ? (according to the bi weekly management meeting summary "Whats going on at Dash Core" and also according to the link to the
new Dash Forum rules and exspectations). It will be interesting to see if certain users (particular those that have a lot of numbers in their forum name and demonstrated a knack for trolling), can abide by these new rules.

Youtube link to the explainer video is currently not working, someone may want to look into that....

Dash Merchant Adoption in Venezuela Soars to Top Spot, Passes US

Dash merchant adoption has experienced a significant rise in Venezuela, passing the United States as the top destination for Dash commerce.

At time of writing, DiscoverDash lists over 1,250 businesses around the world that take Dash for payments. Of these, 273 presently listed are located in Venezuela, over 20% of the global total. This exceeds the total number of businesses in the United States, the second-highest country for Dash adoption, which ranks at 255 presently. New Hampshire, which is a significant area for cryptocurrency adoption despite its low population, is included in this figure, with 69 present listings.

Overstock: Cryptocurrency Payments “Much Cheaper Way of Doing Business” Than Credit Cards

Overstock considers cryptocurrency as a much more efficient way of processing payments than credit cards.

An online retail giant, Overstock is one of the premier companies accepting cryptocurrencies for payments, with a long history of blockchain-friendly attitudes. In an address to the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC, Overstock board member Jonathan Johnson stated that the company incurred much higher expenses processing credit card transactions than transacting with cryptocurrencies:

Dash s core is a unique fully incentivized peer to peer network. Miners are rewarded for securing the blockchain and masternodes are rewarded for validating, storing and serving the blockchain to users. Masternodes represent a new layer of network servers that work in highly secure clusters called quorums to provide a variety of decentralized services, like instant transactions, privacy and governance, while eliminating the threat of low-cost network attacks.

DASH has had lots of new partnerships, new developments and penetrated deeper into Canabis industry.
In general, it has moved fast in the last few weeks.
Someday, all FUDs will go away, then DASH might fly over the Moon sooner or later.

Interesting that most of the Dash volume is traded on exchange ZB.COM (56,9%), while on ZB.COM itself Dash is currently the most traded cryptocurrency (43,4%) :

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dash/#markets

Edit : according to coinranker.net the Dash volume traded on ZB.COM is even higher  (63,99%)  --> https://www.coinranker.net/cryptocurrency/dash

https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/zb-com/

This could be a prelude to a Dash specific pump, originating from ZB.COM .. or it could be a sign that Dash is gathering strength in China through this offshore platform

I think it is best now to buy coins, including DASH, I hope I'm not mistaken in the choice. I remember last year was a very good growth and people were in euphoria from such growth. I hope that the same thing will happen again very soon and will be strong growth.
