quick question about masternodes....I believe, however I may be wrong, that one can set up a masternode with more than a 1,000. If so, let's say that number is 5,000, so one has '5' masternodes on one ip. Can this 'work' in the sense that it dilutes the number of differing ips and does one get counted as one masternode or as 5? I know this has been covered , just looking for a little more clarity especially if I should set up different ips for each 1,000 dark

I guess your question is still not answered and I would like to know it as well as I am thinking of setting up some different masternodes as well.

I guess you need 5 different machines, 5 different ip's and 5 times a wallet with 1000 DRK. But maybe you just need 5 different machines with 5 times 1000 DRK and they can all run at the same ip... can anyone clear this up?

While I can see the convenience of multithousand masternodes, less admin for the operator, I think I'd prefer it it it was kept to single thousand DRK masternodes, purely for purposes of network resilience. The more discrete machines the better. Plus personally I like to split my resources and not keep all eggs in one basket.

When I do "getinfo"  I don't get the port number at all.  Should it be showing up here?  Maybe that's my problem when trying to set up my remote wallet?

Sorry, was tired, I meant "darkcoind masternode list," not "darkcoind getinfo."   Embarrassed

I left my DarkCoin wallet untouched for a few weeks, reinstalled it today, and my balance is 0. My receive addresses are still there, and my password is still working, but I don't have a transaction history or a balance. What gives? It wasn't much, but now I'm not sure I can trust this coin or wallet. Help me out here.

Have you reinstalled wallet without backingup the wallet.dat file? If yes you have lost your coins forever Sad
You can`t do anything now, I`ve lost BTC like this it was my first week in cryptomining world Wink

btw. STEP 1 completed, tomorrow STEP 2 and a lot of sweat in front of me Wink

Interesting Hirocoin folks are talking about a multipool coming up for HIRO. Do we have anything similar in the works? I know there is a bounty out there for the upcoming fork for NOMP and p2pool.
2014.  The year miners only mined everyone else's coin.

Yeah it's just short term chasing your own tail, it does nothing for the real value of a coin, just makes the pool operators and the big traders money.

What does block explorer say about your balance?
Does it show that any transaction occurred during this period?

I backed up my entire appdata folder in a RAR5 archive with a recovery record, so I know my wallet is there and is not corrupted. As for the payments, I know they took place because they're still listed on my transaction history on drkpool.

Late for this awesome coin.

Ah, nevermind. Just had a "dudtastic" moment. The transactions never took place because my balance is still in the drkpool network. Thanks for being quick to help.
