I can't get test net to sync after a few hours.
Can anyone tell me where to find a list of test net nodes?
Thanks !

You shouldn't need anything in your darkcoin.conf except 'testnet=1'

Does your wallet report any network connections? If not, investigate your port 19999 connectivity.

X11 Mining Question

As a Windoz miner, you can't help but feel like the ugly girl at the dance...

I've had enough of Linux miners running their cards at 0.956mv getting power figures that make me drool, in Windoz you have to do a lot of tap dancing to get below 1100mv.

So it's time to make the switch...

Ubuntu, BAMT or PiMP?

I'm running 30 rigs so I need something with good farm controls as well...

You don't have to do any tap dancing in windows. Just undervolt the cards in the bios and reflash. Run your existing windows rigs as is. If you are switching, PIMP for sure.

I haven't met anyone who could explain to me how posa actually works. I also tried to figure it out myself, and it didn't make any sense to me. But maybe I'm just not smart enough or maybe it's vapour.

The trolls on this thread constantly reassure me that Drk is a threat to the more established coins. If Drk was not important, this thread would be much smaller. See Vertcoin's thread for example.

I am, using VBE7 to flash a new bios.

On the 290s VBE7 is not compatible, so it's a bit of messin.

On the 280x's you get crashes when you go below 1081mv.

On the 270x's forget trying to run anything under 1100mv in Windows.

You gotta lower the clocks a little otherwise you get instability, it's not ideal to keep the same settings.

I'll check out PIMP, heard good reports...

Here is Bruce Fenton's recent talk about the proposed NY bitcoin regulations.
What a great talk...
It has me feeling really solid about darkcoin.
In spite of this recent price collapse.

Having coins tied up in a masternode helps too because trading is no longer an option.
Trying to time the market is stressful to the max,
I'm relieved that i'm outta that shit...

I've got MSI Afterburner, editing the BIOS is a more robust way of doing it.  I've tried both methods, you can't get anywhere near the voltage levels in Windows that you can with Linux.

If the new DarkTransit (TM) system is opened up as I hope it will be, MN earnings from block rewards are going to become the least part of a Masternode operator's revenue stream.  Grin

My advice to fellow Masternodeers - start thinking about upgrading your server specs. Wink

all right but there must be some ground to this posa from cloak. If is was something useless it would not create a buzz like this I think, also there was a article on cryptocoinsnews although the writer was paid in cloak.. and there a lot of articles on that cryptonews site, but still I dont find anything that proves it don't work and the dev of cloak seems legit.

So why is darsend+ a better solution than posa that apparently was tested positive in the beta testing already? They say that you don't need mn for anonymity..?

And this is just another reason why this coin will succeed:
  • Darksend+ technology which has over 6 months of development and been written from the ground up to evolve previous solutions, this is how you get better, you try, and try again until you succeed. Success very rarely happens on the first go
  • Professional solution explanations with diagrams to clearly how the proposed solutions will work
  • Full transparency to the testing environment where everyone is involved, nothing is hidden
  • Open communication about what bugs they are tackling, this shows confidence in the solution
  • World class team, leading innovation which all coins just look toward and copy in some way shape or form
  • Taken seriously enough to have Kristov Atlas onboard to help review and improve the technology
  • Over 830 masternodes which their potential has not even begun to be realized, and already solves many economic pitfalls apparent in the BitCoin node design
  • IP obfuscation and open source after Kristov review is the last piece of the puzzle.

Now compare this to some of our competitors who:
  • Can only make videos as justification to prove it works.
  • Have not had any REAL discussions on how the technology actually applies to design & attack weaknesses. When questioned, replies like "we have thought and tested through these scenarios"....so suddenly you are world leading security experts and can test against all known attack vectors.
  • Release whitepapers with a box with a single word in it which supposed to encompass the entire solution, my 3 year old can do this
  • Have to tell their users to "refrain" from using the solution when they release it, then why release it?
  • When questioned about their solution, delete the posts in their thread and in the media deliver one line statements like "the data is encoded to hide the sender"...but how..?
  • Cannot even get anonymity working so lets start coding an entire openmarket to give more hype....If you dont think anonymity is a serious and complex enough solution, you obviously have no idea.
  • Have no background to the development team as they are 100% anonymous. What if they are just great video editors and graphic designers.
  • Both of the main competitors use Proof of Stake and have given only 1 week of PoW....this is taking centralization to a new level.

I could go on...but if you cannot understand what a joke the competitors are, you should sell your house and invest in WankCoin, im hearing its due for a pump.

Nobody knows anything about it because it's in a "closed beta." I made a post in here a while back where I looked at the white paper and it makes absolutely 0 sense and is very generic. It doesn't give any specifics and due to the wording makes it sound like a trusted solution where your coins are being held and mixed.

Nobody seriously knows though. It's hilarious. I lurked their thread hard today and that's what everyone kept saying. They also have a UI with some market built into it but the market doesn't work or function, it's more or less a mockup at this point LOL.
