We have Bitfinex to thank for that unfortunately. It was one of the downsides as traders there had more of an affinity and have been there for far long term trading LTC. It started during the DRK 0.018 to .015 downslides which was a side effect of the big LTC slide. Then LTC investors in DRK all started dumping strategically. In hindsight a great move as it stopped LTC from totally capitulating.

Most of the traders in alt coins are not pros. A very high percentage sell low and buy high. It's just the nature of the beast.

LTC will see far more severe capitulation when it slides further as bagholders will dump. The smart ones who got in early have long since shorted and or are in BTC.

Nice analysis. I guess it all depends on successful implementation of RC4 and functional anonymity on mainnet. After looking at testnet results, I think we can be reasonably confident of a successful rollout.
