WOW!!!

I just did a masternode count and got 1989 masternodes!  Camo must have got his up and running!  LOL.  Seriously though, that's HUGE!  More than doubling pre Onyx nodes!

That's not accurate. What version did you run masternode count from?

Not the absolute latest, 10.15.....  whichever didn't have those minor updates from yesterday.... which reminds me, I better update....

Are you sure it's not right?  I just did it again and get 2001.  I'm guessing someone is currently putting up a butt load of masternodes at the moment.  Check your count, please, and let me know what you get Cheesy

The websites could be slow to update, but I think the daemon should be pretty accurate, no?

Maybe you're right, I get 1988 on one machine and 2001 on another???

Enforcement needs to happen to kick old protocols and clients, not to mention to tie together the proper list. So many versions of the list going around fragmenting the network.

I am not sure running a masternode on an Amazon server is a good idea!

WOW!!!

I just did a masternode count and got 1989 masternodes!  Camo must have got his up and running!  LOL.  Seriously though, that's HUGE!  More than doubling pre Onyx nodes!

This is making me nervous.

My masternode is down till I get things sorted out with Amazon.

Is there going to be a limit ? I heard 3000 talked about. Am I going to be shut out of future masternode participation because I didn't get my foot back in the door early enough ?...plus I've got another one to put up because I bought loads more DRK when the price was down at 0.003 a couple of months back.

There are quite some critical discussions ongoing at the moment, it would be good to hear from the dev team on all of them.

v0.10.15.15 - Onyx Masternode Stability Update

There have been some masternode stability problems (masternodes not staying active on the network) for some users, this was caused by the masternode operators changing the masternodeprivkey and then starting the masternode again. This lead to some of the networking have one pinging key and parts of the network having another. This update fixes that issue and will allow masternodes to change that key. Because of this issue clients were flagging peers as misbehaving, eventually leading to them being banned, causing network fragmentation, which lead to other issues on the network.

An alternative solution is to move the 1000DRK input to a brand new address that the network has not seen. Then start the masternode normally.  Once the network updates to v15.15, we won't have these issues anymore.

Enforcement:

At block 158,000 masternode rewards will jump to 25%, if more than 80% of the network is updating and paying the correct rewards enforcement will be activated then. From the looks of it, we're very close to those numbers already.  Once enforcement is active, payments will be completely 100% fair and equal between all masternodes.

Darkcoin is now up and running on CCEDK with a Fiat currency.

CCEDK is working on the first online crypto coins payment terminal. See fore yourself www.ccpayt.com

Hey guys what do you think the future of Darkcoin is in, say, a year or two. Will there ever be another bubble? The previous one was so huge I'm pretty sure it has depleted the lifeforce of DRK.

I guess you're hoping for a "bubble" so to sell your coins  Wink

The only problem I see with the Darkcoin at this moment in time is a lack of direction in its philosophy. Is it going to be a subversive element, a part of the shadow economy (20% of the world's economy is the shadow economy) or a tool for us to start building a new society free of oppression and tyranny or is it going to strive to become a mainstream coin in the vein of Bitcoin? Options are many but our plans, our direction, our philosophy are not. Thusly, we do not generate enough enthusiasm in the wider community of crypto enthusiasts; what is left seems to be only a bunch of nerds getting it and having some fun doing it, but no many others.

The technology involved points toward privacy as the Darkcoin key feature. Alas, the pan-fascists in power, in almost all the countries in the world, are leaping toward totalitarianism where no (real) privacy or (real) freedom would be possible, turning us all into its subjects. (i.e. we're not active participants in democracy anymore, having only sham crumbs of democracy given to us, like sham elections that appear to be free while are, in fact, predestined by the overlords well before we go to the voting booths) As the system's subjects we need to be surveilled all the time and controlled by all means. (food, water, taxes, militarized police, Goebbels TV omnipresence, endless wars that frighten us all the time, STASI like cancer of if you see something say something nonsense...) We are, as nations, getting tired and less prone to revolt for we do not see any chance of succeeding or (really) changing anything.

If nothing CLEAR is offered to us we accept status quo as the way of life and shrug the hope, and much more importantly, we shrug the fight off. Embracing Darkcoin at this juncture is almost an act of civil disobedience in the society that is comprised almost entirely of obedient servants of the system.

For these reasons, I lost all faith in humanity - or at least in this generation - that would need to open its eyes so the parallel, better world, with crypto in it, could be build. Alas, they have their iPhone4, nope iPhone5, nope iPhone6 and a new cool app to distract them from the reality. "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." - said Goethe.

I hold on my Darkcoins only as a statement, not as an investment anymore.

Thanks for your wise comment. There's nothing more to say. So thank to "Big apple"to add a fingerprint sensor to " secure  you iphone". Next step wiil be that the user have to imlent a RFID chip into itsself to login in his shitphone and be sure enough sheeps would be happy with that and celebrate a new technical revolution.

v0.10.15.16 - Onyx Masternode Stability Update

After some more inspection I found there were multiple Masternode announcement messages propagating around the network. This update filters out all but the newest one to ensure the list is correct and up-to-date. It's not manditory to update, but please do if you can. Last update till InstantX Smiley
