Twitter is blowing up on this WIRED darkcoin article. Amazing PR for darkcoin. Expecting this to create upward price pressure.
Is this actually the kind of PR you want? It labels DRK as a currency to be used for illegal activities. That is not good if you want to gain any kind of widespread adoption. DRK will need to have uses other than buying illegal drugs or counterfeit money if it is ever going to be anything more than what it is now. dealers accept it for cocaine, synthetic stimulants like ethylone and alpha-PVP, and even counterfeit Euros.

Why is it that every time there is positive news about DRK the Cryptsy DRk wallet is under maintenance?

Where's that beast Camosoul hiding these days ? I miss the hate, the cynicism and the intensity of his posts. I need my daily dose of australopithecus-like violence.
Hopefully gone forever. Why would you want his hate filled rants polluting this thread anyway? What kind of a message does that send? DRK is better off without his unnecessary and vicious attacks on other members of this forum.

Nice little wall on Cryptsy, small but still nice to see I know we've been declining for a while but below 0.005 is bargainous in my very humble and dangerously uninformed opinion

I think at this point, any publicity, even seen in a negative light, is welcomed. After all, a currency lives (or dies) by user adoption. Bitcoin did gain its foothold from the Silk Road and other markets. I'm willing to wager that the adoption rate will be much faster given the current environment we are in. No matter what, it will be an uphill battle for mom and pop shops to accept DRK, especially without major rebranding to avoid the negative connotations that come from using the word Dark in the name as well as ongoing bitcoin regulatory stances.

Set expectations that the next two weeks are major periods of upgrades. Everyone needs to appreciate that disruptions are likely and they will need to allocate the time to support the development process. progress is never easy. all people have to do is look at coinmarketcap to see the wreckage of those that thought they were more superior to DRK and after a few minutes the effort involved will be put into context. its nothing in the great scheme of things:
