Which is the easiest way to get a light Ethereum wallet please? please make it more friendly for people who don't know too much about crypto.. it looks too complicated right now: I'm not sure how many really know what contracts are.

I agree, this is crazy, there doesn't seem to be a simple wallet to store Etherium. There are valueless garbage coins out there with simple to use wallets. There are millions being traded in this coin and no simple to use wallet setup file. The developers need to get on top of this right away. The fact that they believed that they could have like millions of coins produced annually and actually believe that the coin should be worth anything was there first real, out there mistake, why they ever believed that is beyond me. I think they had their brain full of coding instead of economics. I really needed to say that, I feel better now. The changes they are making to this are very important. Don't get me wrong Etherium is brilliant. Like bitcoin, I don't yet think people understand the brilliance of this. So please sort out a simple wallet file, so idiots like me can use, don't make anymore silly mistakes. Thank you.

The latest Mist version is great and easy to use. If I go to the release page I see a few early wallet files Beta 1-3 and a "Secret Open Source Mist Release" file and more wallet files Beta 4 to 6. Your statement infers that there are multiple Mist files for there to be a latest, I only see one and its intended for DApp Developers only. I talking about a simple no coding installs all by itself wallet file. And no need to swear.

ETH still really good now. Since more than a week at 600k+, sounds good for the futur Agree. And also price has been stable over these last days so it is a good sign. I am just buying small quantities of ETH and storing them on a paper wallet for future use. I have the feeling that ETH might replace BTC if it proves to solve many of Bitcoins issues such as block size. Do you think ETH has all the possibility of becoming BTC's successor?

Do you think ETH has all the possibility of becoming BTC's successor? i believe eth will open doors for the possibilities of so much btc CANNOT. it will not really reach same price IMO, just due to large driving factor; supply vs demand, and eth will have, and already has, much more supply. but i don't think it was ever mean't to be a successor, eth shows the power of what blockchain tech can do, it procures us a trustless contract system anyone can build themselves, and although i don't fully understand 100% of what dapps can offer, i believe they WILL play a crucial part in the future of eth. Homestead and beyond will make eth more accessible to people, new exchanges and ways to use/trade/store/develop with eth are coming faster and faster. don't need to even speculate too much, just buy, hold, and hold on 2016 will be interesting, heck theres already so many platforms almost ready built on eth

Thanks but it's not that easy I downloaded the v0.3.9 (windows) file and it is forever looking for peers. It doesn't seem to be finding any. Can anyone help. 1: Keep restarting it or leave it alone and be patient 2: Use the myetherwallet.com and print it out. All you need is the private key. Safe enough. 3: Use polo or Kraken wallet and wait for a better version of Mist 4: Buy as much as you can afford!

Thank you Fern and Turing, Syncing the clock is very important, it was only after I did this that things started to work, and restarting also helps when there is a glitch.
