Hi !

Can you add a favorite list of rigs each account ?

It's possible to add an alert mail when a rig is available ?

Have you planned an application on iOS and Androïd in the future ?

I very like your site !!

Thanks !

I just rented a rig that was on the wrong algorithm, was supposed to be Adaptive N and was regular Scrypt.  But, I have to create a support ticket to get a refund.

Two feature suggestions:

1st, give the owner an option to perform a full refund of the user's rental fee.
2nd, automatically link support tickets to our account, don't make me remember a ticket #(which I'm not even sure I got to begin with) and then ask me to enter that along with an email address just to get a link to even look at my ticket...

Am I the only one who's getting more and more user who choose unstable pools or completely set them wrong and then complain about the rig? This happens only every 10th renter, so I know it's not the rigs fault...

Nope. Some think that by renting out a rig it must magically guess what they are trying to do and do it for them. Because; they paid, you know...

But this shouldn't be surprising as well. Most people carry a smartphone without knowing what it really is that they've paid for and what it can/can't do and it's somehow a necessity to own one for crying out loud...

lol That's epic.

In relation to what ycsi mentioned; low prices attract unaware people. I've seen this happen with different businesses too. Higher paying customers are much more likely to know what they're doing and what it is that they're buying.

I got a response to my ticket and was supposed to get a refund after the rental was over, but it's now 4 hours after it's ended and still no refund.  Can you check it out?  I'd give you a ticket number, but one was not provided in the confirmation email...you really should fix that.

Yes

Guy called ccdeals rents out my rig last night at 23:27 and sends me a message at 23:41 to say the rigs not running (even though it's been stable for weeks and has a 9.95/10 rating from many rentals)

My systems automatically reboot at 00:00 on the dot to keep them running ok.

He sends me a message at 00:11 to say it's now working but he's lost 45 mins.

About an hour before the end of the rental, the systems switches to the backup pool again. I contact and tell him his pool is own - no response.

I then get a blocked payment..

Honestly don't people realise that POOL quality isn't something we can sort and that if they want to rent out a system and choose a crappy pool it's their fault?!

Not forgetting he's tried to rent from me before and not sent payment...

Oh and the rig he's renting at an advertised speed of 3400 actually runs at closer to 3500. Guess he won't mention he got over the advertised speed for the duration of the rental (when his pool was actually working)

As good as this whole betarigs thing is I do wonder if it's worth the hassle at times.

Isn't it about time the 40 minute wait was reduced to 10 for no system payments? Also are we checking new accounts now with email checks and such like to stop people registering, renting a system for a few hours, claiming it didn't work because they have chosen a dodgy pool on purpose, getting their refund and walking away with a number of hours work of free hash time?

just had one now, waiting 20mins for payment.

why the hell do you rent if you don't want to pay?

It might not be on purpose (though I do think some are) - I tried to pay for a rental and it sat in a 'pending' state on Cryptsy for 2 hours before the payment processed.

I can comment on the experience with using BetaRigs as both a rig owner and a rig renter.  Both experiences have been positive, and I can see the real potential for this service.

As a rig owner, I can modestly improve the income on my rigs without having to micromanage them so much.  I can keep a list of stable but profitable pools on my rigs without much time on my part.

As a rig renter, I can direct nearly unlimited hashing power to mine whatever I want to mine.  Especially useful to get a big boost on an early coin that I think might do well in the future.

In either case, it's win-win for everyone.

As for features, I do have a few requests.  1, I would like the chance to give time, discounts or coupons to site members.  While my rig is stable, as with any high end rig, down time can occur at any time.  As I work a full time job and cannot sit in front of my computer all hours of the day, my biggest fear is someone renting my rig and having one of my machines (or even a single GPU) go down before the rental period ends and I am able to catch the problem and compensate the renter.  Why is this a problem?  well, because #2 the feedback system is such that as a rig owner you pretty much need to maintain a 100% 10/10 rating.  A single 9 rating could end up costing me renters.  I could promise a renter that I could compensate them once they rent again, but that means I must know ahead of time when they will rent again to ensure that I compensate them.  If I miss my opportunity, the renter is very likely to feel like I have scammed them and will react accordingly in the ratings.

So #1 - allow compensating renters after the rental period
#2 - improve the rating system to be more forgiving.  a system of 1-5 works.  Even 1-3 would be ok.
1 - Rig underperformed and poor customer support from rig owner, or rig underperformed severely (received less than 80% of advertised hash rate)
2 - Rig underperformed somewhat (received less than 90% of advertised hash rate)
3 - Rig performed as expected.  Happy with my purchase (paid for 5MH/s, got 5MH/s +/- 10%)
4 - Rig performed somewhat better than expected (paid for 5MH/s, got 5MH/s +/- 20%)
5 - Rig performed much better than expected (paid for 5MH/s, got 5MH/s + > 20%)

or
1 - Rig underperformed greatly
2 - Rig performed as expect
3 - Rig performed much better than expected

Unfortunately, this is all subjective.  My first and my most recent renters have experienced severely unstable pools.  This is no fault of my own, and in both cases I verified my rigs were performing as expected.  I warned them both - but I still expected a backlash in ratings.  Fortunately, this never came.  Invariably, there will be that one person who will blame the rig owner out of malice or ignorance to how mining and shares work.  Or they are simply angry that their MegaBigCoin they mined didn't pan out as they expected, and thus they take it out on the rig owner just because they can.

First, I love betarigs and Mux is awesome.

But I agree that something has to be done about all these "Rented: Waiting for Payment" issues. My rig has been effectively "locked" for fourhours now because of people renting and not paying. It seems like this would be a VERY easy fix...if a zero confirmation transaction isn't *detected* within 15 minutes, cancel the pending rental. Why can this not be done?

P.S. My last five supposed-renters were named: qweerwqq, 3fsdf234fLOLz, Renter1011sss1, fdsadfsdfsd, XDSDZXZX. Yeah, pretty sure those aren't legit renters.
