I have been saying X11 from the start, no telling how this coin would be doing if anybody had actually listened. I mean why scrypt-n, it's literally the worst choice for several reasons.

I know they are sold out, but what is with the toxic being listed at half price?
(store is selling them for less than 5 million, which is the price if GPUCoin was 14 satoshi)
I picked one up last night for over twice the price.

You see thats the problem here, If you people think just being on an exchange will change anything your our of your minds.

This is correct for the most part (things like lack of marketing and the overall difficulty of obtaining the coins are holding us back), but a bigger exchange will help some. One of the difficulties in getting GPUCoin is obtaining it on a market that lacks liquidity. In order to buy the toxic I had to pay extra because I was required to purchase at 8 satoshi since there was not enough liquidity. Unless they have been saving up (which I was burnt on as well) it is difficult to obtain the coins at the price the GPUs are listed at. A larger exchange should help this.

I wish GPUCoin would move to X11. It's the only Scrypt coin I mine now. Cuts down on hydro use and heat.

The store is getting its API pull from bittrex.com and someone bought up the coin to like 16 satoshi there. waltsmith

my suggesting on making Gpuc rise ...
1-reduce block reward
2-Change the fucking N-scrypt algo .... everyone hate that .... so buggy so hot ....and by changing i mean going to HVC-Qbit-X11 ... things that run cool .... HVC best choice since its nvida friendly ... also Gpu friendly which is the whole thing about this coin
3-people stop bitching about price
4-making more people know that they can buy cheaper rigs for gpuc .. through forum twitter ads
1- No, you just want to create a situation where early adopters are all whales and own the market. I've been mining since day one, this is an awful idea. Also the block reward will reduce to 10,000 per the 250,000 blocks halving built in. and subsequently halve every 250,000 blocks thereafter. 2- Its bad for business to change the algo, plus with scrypt asics coming out scrypt-n is a good place to be. Considering its the next stop for the gpu miners currently on scrypt who will be pushed out by asics. 3- obviously, because your post is the opposite of this... 4- There is a lot of this already going on, there is only so much that can be done to raise awareness. The best way is trade volume and votes to get the coin on larger exchanges.

Well, I don't think people want whales and early adopters to own the market - just that they don't get screwed over so much. The price was expected to be higher. People who invested lost a good deal of their money. There are too many coins being generated though to maintain the intended price. It was simply an error in judgement. I don't think it is greedy to at least want their investment back out of this. Anyways, if the coin rose in price because miners received less they still should end up with the same net gain. You should be making about as much. You may even make more.

the problem with a hard fork is that it can completely kill a coin. so the investors could go from some money to no money.
the more important thing to do before drastic measures is find a simple solution. such as advertising.

Hi all! Are these the cards that are sold in gpucoin store? Found a sweet local deal on them. If they're not, is it worth picking these for mining? What would be hashrates for them on known algos? thanks in advance. Brand Gigabyte Model Radeon R9 280X MPN GV-R928XOC-3GD I have 4xGigabyte GV-R928XOC-3GD-GA. I think it almost the same. Hashrate for some algo: Scrypt - ~710kH/s Scrypt-N - ~360kH/s x11 - ~2000kH/s Some settings - core - 1025MHz, memory - 1500Mhz, vddc - 1.075v Other algos i don't tested I have the same card and I am getting 748 kh/s stable. Try zuikkis bin from here ( http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemining/comments/1uj4uk/optimized_scrypt_kernel_for_hd7970_r9_280x/ ).I barely reach 720 without it.. 1052mhz core, 1500mhz memory I get lower hashrate than you for scrypt-N though.. about 315kh/s

When you invest in something, it's a gamble pure and simple. Have faith in the coin, I do. Yes, it wasn't expected to go that way and I'm sorry for the people that lost money but you win some and you lose some. As a new comer, the only thing I can do to help is voting for the coin on mintpal and wishing for the best

I haven't used zuuikkis' bin but i'm getting 730KH/s on scrypt (1050/1500, powertune -20 and 1.137 on Trixx) and 360 on scrypt -N (1000/1500, powertune -20, 1.131V).

Thank you to all our supporters buying GPUs during the sale. We have decided to give a free R7 240 to ALL 240 buyers who bought before the sale ended at 13:14:58 with the sale of the last 280X. from the facebook page. hate being penalised because i only have 1 gpu, broke, and cant make enough coins. on that note, congratulations, dicks!
