Is there an issue with the monero pool at the moment, I have several workers which keep getting socket closed errors and they are showing as inactive on the workers page (even though they do seem to be reconnecting and submitting eventually).
There were some connectivity issues for some miners due to overloaded users at monero pool. Sorry about it. It's all resolved now. I believe this kind of issue will not happen anymore.

yes i think there is i am getting no shares sent and this is stats page Last Hour 30 0 0 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0 0.00% That is blocks page? Monero pool finds blocks rarely still. 36 blocks for last 24 hours today. That stat is not indicating problem. There can be no block for an hour or two.

Hi
First of all, thanks for the great service and prompt answers. I noticed that I have a significant ratio of invalid shares "Your Invalid" in dashboard (around 5%) while my miner shows almost 0 rejected shares. Do you know what might be causing this? Thanks
What coin are you mining? Sometimes pool responds "Accepted" even if it's invalid share but satisfies some conditions. I'll look into your account if you tell me your username or id. I am mining Ethereum, my username is the same as the one on bitcointalk.

I am still having issues. About half of my miners are showing inactive on the pool side. Dashboard hashrate is also showing about half of what it should be. The miners themselves seem to be connected and working however.

So this is real coin value that takes into account only difficulty and price https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=home&normalize=noneHmmmmm... How exactly do you set N in your implementation of PPLNS? So it seems that there will be some discrepancies between current difficulty and the amount of share we get. It is possible that difficulty is really low but we got low share or difficulty is high because we got high share. That's because your average time between last few blocks may have changed. That's what I am concerned about. If it's constant N = 2* difficulty or share is inversely proportional to difficulty then that number in https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=home&normalize=none will be directly comparable to numbers in nicehash.com I get the impression that it's not always directly compatible N is average of last few block's share sum. 354 block height's block sum 100 355 block height's block sum 110 356 block height's block sum 200 357 block height's block sum will be ((100 + 110 + 200) / 3) = 136 If 357 block height's block sum was 200, then first 64 shares will be skipped and only 136 shares from backward will be calculated. It's just rough calculation to describe what's happening at PPLNS. It's much more complex calculation. I think you are concerned about fair distribution. It's quite fair because pool distributes to miners according to their time and difficutly. You are collaborating and competing the block reward with other miners in same pool. That number is compatible with nicehash. Keep in mind that it's compatible by theory. It can be little bit different considering the fluctuation of mining reward and fees. Nicehash's 3% fee is not small if you are willing to get 2% of profit difference. So you use last few blocks? How few? Last 10? Last 20? I am not aiming for 2% profit difference. I am aiming for 30% profit difference. Sometimes price in nicehash differ from price in miningpoolhub by big margin. I uses bot. And after exchange and stuff, still lost money. I will try again and tell you the result.

So when a worker does not find a share for a long time it shows as not active. All of my workers show a difficulty of 200,000 in the web interface.

I have problem with monero, worker.2 works fine, for worker.1 pool gives me difficulty 200 000 and if I start worker.3, for some reason all workers start to lose connection

Let me try to understand. What is a share? Some says that not every hash count as a share. You have to multiply that by a certain number first. So only hash that serve some difficulty would work. Say difficulty is 1000. People submit about 500 shares. Then suddenly difficulty drops to 1. So https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=home&normalize=none will report sky high value right? Obviously it's time to send massive hashing power. Now, say people send 1 share and the block is solved. He got 1 BTC (obviously we don't mine BTC, but this is just for simplicity sake). How much money he got? Notice it's not just luck. The first 500 shares are mining when difficulty is high. The guy that send massive hash when difficulty drops is the one getting you block. How would you distribute the fund?

Hi -
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I've looked everywhere and can't find it.
I've been mining ETH for the last couple of days and have been very happy with the service. Love the auto exchange feature. I just changed my config to point to the ethash switch pool (us-east.miningpoolhub.com:17020) and added SIA (using Claymore).
SIA is mining just fine and I can see the worker and hash rate on that page. ETH is connected to the pool, showing shares and hash rate in the miner. However, I don't see a worker or any hash rate on the ETC pool page (ethash is mining ETC now). I believe this is because it is going to a hub pool and not the ETC pool. However, it would be nice if there was somewhere to see that. Is there a dashboard/worker page somewhere for the switching pool?
Thanks and looking forward to continuing to mine here (next step will be setting up multi-algo!)

Second this. It's been requested for some time now. There is definitely interest for DCR to be added to MPH.

I prefer to collect many kind of coins.
But not too many.
BTC, LTC, Zcash, Ethereum.
So I want to auto exchange the rest to ethereum.
For those I want to keep, I want to just autopay. How do I accomplish this?

How does the autopool decides which coin is the most profitable and mine? According to that programming can’t we just mine the most profitable ourselves as well? I didn’t know it could be calculated that easily. Hopefully there will be more pools keep doing this, it is the most profit optimized version. Good Job.

I've been thinking the following.
Say a coin has difficulty 10000
Block 1 is found after 10k shares Block 2 is found after 10k shares Block 3 is found after 10k shares So N for block 4, based on what miningpoolhub says, is 10k
Then suddenly difficulty drop to 1
Now, each "share" should worth much more right.
How does miningpoolhub implement this?
How does pool in general implement that shares that are given during low difficulty worth far more than shares that are given during high difficulty.
This is important for those making bots to buy hash to send to miningpoolhub because, of course, we would send hash only if difficulty is lower
Basically do people get more share if they send hash when difficulty is lower and how automatic is that?
From what you said, it seems that people get the same share and the expected value of how much those shares worth (inversely proportional to N) is not directly derived from difficulty but depends the amount of shares required to mine last blocks. It is possible that amount of shares required to mine last blocks may be far higher because those blocked are mined when difficulty were higher.
One thing I would imagine is to implement N in PPLNS in such a way that N is always proportional to difficulty when a block is found. So if difficulty is really low when a block is found then only few shares get a piece.
Another way to implement this is to have weighted share. So each share is divided by difficulty and people get paid based on those weighted share. Obviously share that are earned when difficulty is lower worths more.
What exactly did miningpoolhub do? When difficulty is fluctuating and the round is the same, how did miningpoolhub reward those who hash during low difficulty more the way they deserve it. Or is it just being ignored?
The reason I ask is because pool's difficulty is pretty much constant while network difficulty may fluctuate wildly.

I have no proof, but from several users around the net.......it is likely an issue with the sgminer version in the newer units
