General Question:

miningpoolhub one time said: dont want poolhopers and pool ( payouts) are made for miners staying -i confim this too

----but:  "from view of the poolsoftware" we are poolhoppers with multipoolminer and this means in the end less profit!? - `what`s your opinion?

maybe miningpoolhub can answer this, its his software and he knows how he wrote it

sorry for so long posting, but i really was thinking much about this before posting.

[Also be sure i donate you, like i said last time - but first it must work for me Wink]

Thanks

Pool hoppers get more profit when they jump in to PROP pool right after the block is found.
When that round's luck is quite better than average, pool hopper get much more because there's not much participants at that time.
In theory, small number of rigs running miner has low probability to insert share than miner who has many miners in certain period of time.

If that round was not that good like average, then pool hopper gets average as usual miners.
Especially if it's fast coins like ethereum, then this behaviour brings quite big problem.
It is proved that PROP using pool miner's get less when other luck hunting hoppers get in and out.

But it is totally different with PPLNS.
Shares are not counted per each round. There's certain PPLNS timeframe (adjusted dynamically) that calculates shares across rounds smoothly.
This is quite fair which does not favor or not favor certain miners. Pool hoppers don't get less, and don't get more with correctly configured PPLNS pool.

Don't worry. I tested it with real baikal ASIC miner to check if it is really fair. It worked as expected.

Thanks.

I am actually working on a standalone windows app that switches miners based on profitability. Will include profitability checks from multiple sites/blockchain data + multiple currencies + past difficulty data and charts + benchmarking. I am going to keep it dedicated to MPH for now. Will hopefully release the first beta version in a week or so.

you don't have to start from scratch, just fork Miner Control with support for MPH

New release of MultiPoolMiner! Have a great Christmas!
https://github.com/aaronsace/MultiPoolMiner/releases

Supports benchmarking and multi-chip support (AMD and NVIDIA).
There are currently no CPU miner pre-sets but will be added in the next increment.

Just run the script and enter your pool user name once prompted; that’s it.

Advanced users can add more miners in the ‘miners’ folder either as JSON or PS1.

Please submit bugs and feature requests in the 'issues' section.
Logs are produced in text format; use them when submitting issues.

Monero Mining Pool Hub

Now I've done all works for monero pool now.

https://monero.miningpoolhub.com

As current claymore cryptonote miner does not support username account based mining, you have to insert address at account page first and mine with that address.
Address is used to distinguish account in this case.
I already contacted Claymore with this issue few days ago and waiting Claymore to release updated miner. (He said he will release updated version)

If miner program doesn't support account based mining, it can't be compatible with auto switch things.
(Technically pool can't distinguish which coin account's address it is using when miner connects without coin specified)

Keep in mind that monero needs quite big hash, it is difficult to find new block.

Sorry that it took too long than expected. As monero uses totally different technology and ideas from bitcoin, I had to learn and change many parts of pool for it.

Merry christmas!

Hallo aaronsace,

thanks so much for this christmas present!!

But i get crazy:

First i bought the book: "Powershell for Dummies" --- now, after little bit looking in it  Huh Huh, i am searching the web for the book

{Powershell for Dummies} for Dummies! Wink Wink Huh

i have three test rigs : clones from fresh install win 10, only cards are different, amd R9 270x, R9 280x, and R9 290x

So all the same, start multipoolminer on each, ---on each completly different behaviour and now i even cannot form a question -must try more  Huh Huh Huh Huh

but one question do i have: where to change "us" to "europe" server? dont find in script!

( issues: first rig: only claymore ethash starts, no benchmarking -thats all!?

second rig: ccminer tries to start: say some file from it is missing --copied a new version there, all same, even i dont need him -sgminer starts benchmarking one coin -
                         finish!?

third rig: benchmarking only some coins with sgminer, thats all

Also what i dont understand: also for V1.3 where i had to put in hash/s for my own - miningpoolhub shows for example skein first- with 50% more than equihash,

in your script skein nearly zero profit or even zero profit is shown and so sgminer dont start, same for nearl all other coins from sgminer.

sorry i really dont understand this all, dont know where to start to solve these issues, i am not so stupid and my little farm quite working well without issues

and also i think your script is a must have and was quite a lot - lot of work!!)

When I run MultiPoolMiner.ps1 it just opens then closes. Is there something else I need to do or setup?

Also since XMR is added now can we get it on the list of auto exchanged to be paid out in?... NVM just read your full post

Not sure why but your computer is showing a comma (,) instead of a full stop (.).
It may be a language problem, are you English? Will look into the problem.

Please can you send me the Claymore text files in the stats folders? Also, what should the total hash rate be for your machine? Maybe it's parsing it incorrectly from Claymore if it has a comma instead of a full stop.

Post issues here if you can: https://github.com/aaronsace/MultiPoolMiner/issues

Edit: Identified the decimal problem, I believe it's just a formatting issue on some displays; will be fixed in the next increment.

@aaronsace,

thank for your work Smiley

i have make many change for your scrypt work for me :

1 -
$Interval = 300 #seconds
because ethdcrminer take a lot of time for starting on my rig.

2 -
on pool/miningpoolhub.ps1
https://miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=api&action=getautoswitchingandprofitsstatistics
return a bad server (us server or i want use eu server).
my workaround :
Host = 'hub.miningpoolhub.com' # $_.host
hardcode host with this.

3 -
your sgminer don't work fine for me. skein don't work and many over kernel make crash my rig.
for begin, i must write at the end of Arguments -I 25, with the default -I 8 sgminer don't work.

after, i use sgminer-mph who work better for me.
so i must change :
$Path = '.\Bin\AMD\sgminer.exe'
for the path to mph sgminer.

4 -
for claymore, i must write on the end of Arguments :
-dbg -1 -tt 75 -tstop 85 -fanmin 30 -fanmax 95
for have the same thing of i use now.
