Cryptopia has Guncoin in Maintenance Mode while they upgrade to GUN V1.3 to make ready for the hard fork at block 840,000. Please be patient while they take care of it for us!
Out of maintenance mode now, and seems to be fine. Ya, Cryptopia is running just fine, nice little run-up this morning.  |

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Ya, Cryptopia is running just fine, nice little run-up this morning. Yes, all appears to be back to normal with them and about a 35% run-up in the GUN price right after they came back live so far. FYI, we have just released GUN 1.3.1 as an interim patch release only for those upgrading from V1.1 to V1.3 - no one else needs to upgrade and can wait for V1.4 in 2 weeks. In other words, if you are already happily running V1.3, then there's no need to update. If you are still on V1.1, then this is the version to move to. There is a patch fix for a crash where V1.1 users moving to V1.3 get an error receiving their first checkpoint (remember we have automatic checkpointing now). So when you see V1.3.1 users on the network, those are only V1.1 users who just upgraded. We have V1.4 in beta test now and all looks very good so far and everyone can move to that when it is ready. |

Bug report in wallet v 1.3. I've been running 1.3 on one computer for a while and it's been fine. So I upgraded all my wallets this am, and the one on my mining rig (running Win7 x64) crashed after giving this error. (the forum won't let me attach screen cap) MinGW Runtime Assertion

As a side note to that, when rolling back to the old 1.1 wallet, it will have to re-sync the blockchain EVERY time you restart the wallet. As mentioned, get the 1.3.1 wallet because the bug has been fixed. |

This is a decentralized community for the better of the coin. If your local gun shop or range might be interested, please point them to the website or some of our communications channels to get connected to us. Even give them the link to our users guide. We have at least a dozen firearms related businesses that have communicated with us in recent weeks and we are happy to help them. But they came to us which is far better. As we have said before, ANY Guncoin user/investor can tell anyone about as much as we can and point them to the same things that we would do. If there is more support needed or additional questions, we are pretty responsive. But us proactively going out to individual firearms businesses around the globe one by one is not going to happen - this is a group effort to make GUN successful. |

Let him know about GUN and see what he says, if hes interested, then point him to GUN Devs... I second that, or third that, or whatever.. Each person that wants to take part in Guncoin growth needs to have their own plan for coin success. It's great to discuss them widely and make adjustments, but in order to make your plan work you have to take a part in doing it. Every suggestion can't fall on the dev team to follow through on, there is a limited amount of time in the day.. |

We have had Guncoin since its inception in 2014. Unfortunately due to health and life everyday circumstances we have not been on the computer for quite awhile. We are getting back into the crypto world. Our Guncoin wallet will not sync. We are truly not technically savvy. Can anyone teach us how to get to where we need to be?? Would appreciate any help that can be given, Thanks

Are you using the latest 1.3.1 wallet? If you are on an old version you will need to update to the newer wallet. There is a link to download it on the first page of this thread; be sure to make a backup of your current wallet.dat before doing any updates to ensure that your coins are safe. |
