I am a little confused on mining Grin with RTX 3070 8 gb in windows:
Miner is using 6gb solver
Miner does encounter illegal memory access, even if I have set +0 core and +0 memory in Afterburner PL/60 % or 50%.
What am I  doing wrong ?

Also In order to use the 8gb solver do I have to run Linux ?

Yes on 8gb = linux because windows is a memory hog of bloatware.

Just a FYI post:

Acronis has a self-protection routine.  It will block gminer.  It didn't block 3 other miners.  So, if gminer is failing shortly after logging into the pool, check your startup group and kill Acronis if it's enabled.  I have less hair than I did yesterday, FML Smiley

Tried new version but still getting DAG errors, DAG has been damaged check overclock settings.
Not sure why i am getting those only with GMiner?
I am mining with 3070s

Got a potential trojan after running 2.4.8 today:

Program:Win32/Contebrew.A!ml

Affected items: miner.exe

What the heck?

I am mining with 3070s
try set OC settings through miner(--cclock, --mclock), not through afterburner.
miner will apply OC only after generating DAG (miner generates valid DAG).
hope in next release we will add new DAG generation that will produce valid DAG on very high OC settings

mhm using new version 2.48, but it seems, that --mclock not always working. Sometims on first start after PC reboots, its okey, but when i restart miner for some reason, he only sets e.g. pl
but not --mclock.

I see GMiner is one of the top recommended miners for Etchash.  Just wondering if there is potential to add Ubqhash support to a future release?  Ubqhash is another Ethash variant so should be similar process.

Here's some of the technical info: https://blog.ubiqsmart.com/introducing-ubqhash-8fa515befd7

Would adding Ubqhash to GMiner be possible?

GMiner v2.49 available for download

v2.49
+ improved DAG generation, now miner generates valid DAG in extremal OC modes.
--safe_dag option allows you to choose a way to DAG generation.
There are two modes:
Fast mode(1, default for GTX GPUs): miner generates DAG as quickly as possible, DAG errors are possible at maximum overclocking.
Safe mode(2, default for RTX GPUs): miner generates DAG with error control, useful for RTX cards at maximum overclocking.
+ improved memory tweaks (fixed problem with possibly broken DAG on epoch change)

It seems to be a little bit slower. Checked it on 1 rig with 3070  GPUs. Went down from 301.26 MH/s (after over 1000 shares for each GPU) to 301.01 MH/s.
1xxx GPUs seem not affected.

Can anybody help me with memory controler load below 20% which mean asus rog strix rtx 2060 gets very low hash rate and low power consumption.Cant get it stable more than 1 hour.
My settings are:

GPU clock: 1410 mhz
Memory clock : 7651 mhz
voltage:781V

I had problem with phoenix,t-rex and now gminer.Cannot find stable hash rate more then one hour, then some kind of memory leak happens.I tried many oc settings and nothing helps.

I even tried stock settings after completly unistaling nvidia driver with DDU and problem is there! Is my gpu defective with some memory leaking problem???

The information in the --help screen is not accurate:
The --kernel/-k option doesn't do anything in the command line nor in the config file, i had to use --oc to switch kernels.

Its just me or using
--cache_dag on for eth +zil
and SAFE Dag 2 for safe dag generation at extreme overclock
produce a 5-/6 % Hashrate decrease on RT 30xxs family ?
