India started really well and to my surprise Sanju Samson is finally playing for India after a long gap of over 4 years and hope he will perform well and entertain the home crowd but the pressure he will be going through will be immense and lets see how he is going to overcome it. KL Rahul is in great form and he is the opener for India in the world cup and Dhawan is struggling and already Sri Lanka missed an opportunity in the boundary.

Both the openers KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan looking to play aggressively and India is scoring at 10 runs per over without a wicket loss. If they contiune and with wickets in hand, 220 is very much possible which will be impossible for srilanka to chase. Srilanka needs wickets now else it will be too late for them to save the match and series.

India finally lost the first wicket and even though Shikhar Dhawan was struggling in the start he scored a fifty before loosing his wicket, why Kohli did not come out to bat in his usual position and now India lost the second wicket, hope they will be able to continue the momentum and score a good total as i placed a bet on India to win even though the odds were not that great.

India started really good and was glad to see Sanju Samson in the team and he started off with a first ball six but was trapped in front the very next ball which was unfortunate but the spinners bowled really well and  they lost 4 quick wickets and hopefully they will recover from this situation and score above 200 runs.

Looks like Indian batting line is collapsing after the great start by the openers. They have quickly lost four wickets and Kholi is the key now for how much India score. Superb come back by the srilankans which no one expected from them. India might end up 50 runs short or maybe more if Kholi get out early.

Picking the wickets was the option Sri Lanka had and they did just that by taking the wickets after India making a good opening partnership and i was expecting the team to score well over 200 and now they are in the last over and now Shardul Thakur is playing a cameo role clearing the boundary with easy carrying on the fine hitting he did in ODI.

I'm getting a feeling that Sri Lanka might win the tomorrow's match and draw the series. India is in great form right now with Virat and Rahul playing consistently but it's a habit of Indian team that whenever there is a easy match to win, they lose. It should not happen tomorrow but the chances are high for Sri Lanka imo.

Possible but I don't think there is a high chance for that to occur. Well even if they are able to give a big score, there are plenty of batsman who will cover that margin. The only way will be to pick up 3-4 wickets of India as quick as possible.

It will be interesting to see who wins the toss and decides what tomorrow. I think bowling first should be the favourite.

Sri Lanka took bowling first but I don't think they can chase this score now against Indian bowling attack. It'll be hard for Sri Lanka to win this match but there may be a slight chance for them to chase this.

Yes Shardul Thakur played very well there at end of last  two over he scored 22 runs in just 8 balls, it will help to india cross 200 mark and it is very difficult to chase to SriLanka now because they are already lost 2 wicket for 11 run.

India opening partnership was so good that gave them a good platform to score big runs and this is what happened and now Indian bowlers are bowling well and took 4 wickets for a score of 83. SL require now 119 in 59 balls .

Yes Shardul Thakur played very well there at end of last  two over he scored 22 runs in just 8 balls, it will help to india cross 200 mark and it is very difficult to chase to SriLanka now because they are already lost 2 wicket for 11 run.  

SL needs 120 runs in 58 balls to win the match and they already lost 4 early wickets so it looks highly impossible for them to win at the moment but in T20 two good overs will make a big difference,if SL get 20+ runs in two overs then they will get down the required run rate to below 10 and then its possible to hit balls at the last few overs.And they have to do all these without losing any wickets.

Did not watch the match after seeing the first 10 overs. Totally dominated by team India, extremely poor performance by the srilankan team. They were struggling from the beginning. Srilankan coach and the team need to re think about their strategy.

Shardul Thakur is playing really well and he can bat really well and can clear the boundary with ease and i am sure he will be an asset for the team because of his all around performance and it was really a one sided game as the Srilankan batsman was not able to perform against the Indian bowling attack and i expected it to be competitive but Bumrah bowled really well and they were unable to score against his bowling.

Totally one sided match it was and that was not expected from Sri Lankan team. They are not an experienced players but they could have given some resistance.

Kohli - His presence in the squad is debatable. one can argue that he should skip and give chance to younger (Sanju) player or completely opposite that he should play the T-20 match because Rohit is not plying/ Practice for T-20 world cup. i don't mind if he skips any T-20 series along with Rohit (if its possible). In their absense Shreyas Iyer can easily manage captaincy in T-20.

No way, his presence in squad is not debatable at all. He is best player of all format. Seriously doubting your cricket knowledge.

Context is important in any discussion IMHO. One has to be retard if s-he undermining player like Virat in the modern cricket so it doesn't come to cricketing knowledge.

My response was for " should senior players give chance to young players or not?" in case of Virat when i say "debatable". I am not questioning Virat's capabilities but searching for any possible scenario. If he's available or not for the T-20 format (historically he takes rest from low profile series, that's a case at least in last 2 years) Hope this clear your confusion?

It's clear now, and he do take rest regularly with weaker team, but this year T20 World Cup so may be he wanted to fully focus on T20. I still don't understand how Manish Pandey getting so much chances after failing regularly.

One sided match will not be that much interested as watching a game where both teams got equally skilled players so AUS series will be more fun for the cricket enthusiast and also don't forget that IPL season is not too far away from now which has got more fan followings even compared to international matches.

It is not just the interest level but the odds are not that great either, rarely i watch these series if they are not competitive and if i am not wagging a bet and now Australia will be travelling to India for a series which will be a good encounter as Australian players are in really great form and hopefully they could win the series. When is the IPL scheduled and hopefully we will have a competition in the forum.

Yes, the t20 series against Sri Lankan was one side series because there is no good show from them in batting and bowling I think it has very desponding for Sri Lankan fans. and India won the series 2-0.

What a one-sided and low scoring game. SL are losing with both batting and bowling while WI atleast put up a fight earlier. Glad to see a bowler getting runs as well as wickets. Virat is now shuffling the team and checking which combinations work but the old is gold. Him coming later will not work for the team. SL need to rework on their top order batsmen. All 4 failed today.
