I am waiting for history to again repeat itself.

Chernobyl happened on 26 April 1986

USSR dissolution happened on 26 December 1991

It took just 5 years and  8 months.

Covid 19 outbreak happened in December of 2019 exact date I am not sure.. so if history repeats it would be 2024 and April should be the month.

Are you comparing USSR dissolution time to covid-19 ? That's ridiculous. Covid -19 will not follow any timeline nor it will follow the 4 years patterns of bitcoin halving & bull run    
Covid-19 will only disappear once a proper vaccine is made for it and no one knows how much time it will take for the vaccine to be developed in laboratories.

As soon as the vaccine out then we can do the counting for CCP. Most probably a vaccine should be out within 12 to 18 months.

You mean no cricket and no normal life until 1.5 years ?

Covid-19 will only disappear once a proper vaccine is made for it and no one knows how much time it will take for the vaccine to be developed in laboratories.

As soon as the vaccine out then we can do the counting for CCP. Most probably a vaccine should be out within 12 to 18 months.

I doubt it will take too long because all countries are trying it and should be there in next couple of months or may be before that also possible. There are quite a few trials already underway and if gets a good result the vaccine could be out soon as well. Only thing for now people should stay at homes in order to avoid spreading it further.

The government may be able to feed them for 2-3 months, but not more (especially as the tax revenue has hit rock bottom). My guess is that the lockdown will be lifted on May 3rd (at least partially), irrespective of whether the situation comes under control or not.

So within 2-3 months, we may witness a limited resumption of the sports activities as well. It will become the new normal, as we can't shut down the economy indefinitely.

Just go through this article and you will know how much time it will take. Pharma companies are currently going through human trials and they also need China's help as the virus originated from there. But, CCP is reluctant to help so it can take more time.

Yes, the economic condition in those areas may become worse with the passage of time if the lockdown sustains but you cannot lift the lockdown due to this and say you have no option. Because if the lockdown is lifted and suddenly there are a lot of patients detected of covid19, this could be a worse situation for any country.

As per IMF report the biggest recession is on the way. Third world countries are the one that will be most affected by this lockdown. The situation is so bad that if y ou remove the lockdown medical infrastructure in these countries will collapse and if you continue the lockdown economic condition will get worsen.

India's economy was already struggling before this pandemic and now it will take a deep nose dive after the situation comes under control. Already salaries have been cut and many will lose their jobs now.

It has been too long now. To an extent you can watch movies or online series. After a certain period of time it gets into your nerves. Sporting events could have helped but unfortunately they are also cancelled. It is tough to stay in lockdown. To all my fellow lockdown see hats off to you guys.

- Cricketers will not use their spit on the ball to keep the shine
- They will not celebrate the wicket taking with hug and other close body method.
- It will be hard for the cricketers to come back in their full shape because their body will deny the hard work. They will get used to this resting period. They will suffer from lack of fitness.

Yes, I agree with you. There is no possibility of any tournament in the world until the vaccine is discovered. No country will take this difficult decision.

Good points highlighted by Sachin but I have a question will it still remain even after significant time has passed by after the pandemic crisis. I can see this happening for one year or two but I think things might get relaxed down and will we start having that same ol' celebrations at one point (not sooner but maybe later at some point).

It's all fear, it's gonna fade at one point.

Before Sachin told this, i had already expressed my feelings and views that world will change after covid-19 and we may miss the world's way of working prior to this.

I doubt we can ever come back to normal life style again. The virus will be gone by that time but precautions will become a mandatory part of our life. Some of the major changes will be that people will never shake hands and social distancing will be practiced and will be considered a good habit. Another major thought will be that people can work form home (as it would have been tested successful for 2- 3 months) and hence a lot of costs could be save for office rents and travel to office costs etc. The world will be different before and after covid-19.

Of course all will fade very soon. After few years of all this when gets over we will not even remember that we had such crisis, we have not gone out for few weeks, there were no one in the open road for weeks, we had crisis for food, we had political crisis, bad leadership etc.

Let's just hope all this ends soon.

Once everyone gets vaccinated, it will be back to business as usual. However, there will be a few changes though probably like more people working from home etc.

Maybe he is overthinking and hope he is. There are some habits we have which can not be changed permanently. Shaking hands is one of it. And I think in cricket celebrating wickets by hugging each other is another habit which we inherited from the very beginning of the cricket culture. You can not just hold your excitements of taking a match winning wicket. It's too hard.
