Lol. Perfect tweet dude! The Chinese government and their useless policies could not protect them from worldwide mockery. Their COVID numbers are messed up though I don't buy them using the virus as a weapon theory.

The worst thing for me was to find out that WHO was involved in this entire mess all along. I expected them to act responsibly. For once, I actually support Trump for cutting them off.

Nowadays CCP are busy with their propaganda machine and crying about "freedom of speech" in the foreign countries when facing backlash. Geo-politics gravy getting thick, Wild porn for Geo-politics enthusiast.

Being a cricket lover, I am deeply disturbed by the refusal of BCCI to allow ICC to reroute funds for the globalization of the game. They are the richest board, and yet they get the largest share from the ICC (more than twice the amount when compared to the second ranked board). And along with the ECB, they sabotaged the inclusion of cricket in Olympic games.

LOL... the Chinese government give funds only for Olympic sports. And that is the reason some of the smaller cricket boards were angry at the ICC's decision to not to try for the Olympic games. I think that this is the case all around the world. Government grants are allotted only to those sports, which feature in the Olympic games.

Anyway, I heard that the Chinese board got some funds from the government, after cricket was included in the Asian Games.

Practically, I doubt 24 teams in one T20 WC will be added. There are some boards who will oppose this move by ICC as you mentioned "economic disaster".

T10 for Olympics is a good idea and can be easily done.

I am not a big fan of T10 format. It is too short for me. I watched the 2019 T10 league on TV and didn't liked it that much. It has nothing for the bowlers. Even T20 is heavily in favor of the batsmen, but T10 is just like a bowler's gas chamber. Why can't we have T20 in the Olympics?

24 is really difficult but 16 is realistic because now we have few teams those can give tough time in this format so this is really good idea and for Olympics T-10 is also really good because we already enjoying this format and this can give really big boost in this Olympics as well if the want to do something.

I just thought that I would update you guys on the situation here in Australia with our local sports. Its looking like the AFL and NRL will start up soon which is a good sign for the T20 world cup as the AFL have said that they are happy to push their grand final back if they need to. If all goes to plan then we could see the T20 world cup played in October. We are seeing fewer cases here each week but as I have said, winter is just one month away and we could see this change very quickly.

If the ICC wants to accommodate cricket then they can and for the development of cricket this is the best option they have and yet they have not shown much interest, if they include cricket then they can follow the same path as football with qualification tournaments and 16 teams with a group stage of 4 group and then a knockout stage. Even if cricket is accepted i do not think that the top teams will send their best team to represent as it will clash with the regular schedule and at best they will send a second string team.

Its not that ICC don't want this. But some cricket board has their eyes on short-term benefits, call it short sighted attitude. (ECB-BCCI)

ECB - Earlier they were not in favor of this move because according to them Olympics and their county season schedule always clash. ICC told ECB to %$#@ off and told them to deal with it as Olympic comes after 4 years and only for 2 weeks or so...

BCCI - They are major roadblock atm and International Olympic Council (IOC) want all major countries especially India at any cost otherwise they are not interested in the cricket. BCCI has couple of serious concerns. ICC and BCCI both are working on it.

• NADA (National Anti Doping Agency) -Indian cricketers/BCCI and Indian Doping agency had some misunderstanding (They wanted to control every cricketer all the time) and NADA record is not good but things are working fine atm as both bodies are working together on trial basis.
• IOC (Indian Olympic Commission) -BCCI don't want to lose autonomy to them, Which seems real concern as BCCI did all the hard work and made billion dollar product from scratch. And IOC sucks anyway, too much politics with shitty subcontinent bureaucracy. Who knows if in future they introduce quota/reservation in cricket too?

As far as i know football in the Olympic is not big thing per se because majority of the players are required to be under 23 age. if this happens with cricket then its not real deal IMO. Schedule and dividing groups are open to discussion, they are more than capable of handling this issue so its not a big deal.
