World test championship is messed up completely. Ideally ICC should move dates of WTC final to 2022 as few teams already cancelled their tours and they are not sure - how to distribute match points- yet.

India and Australia are clearly the top two teams in the World Test Championship and no other team can match them.

This is not right England can also do some good in this season if they able to hold series and New Zealand is also in good position still many things to come for this Test Championship and they will no distribute points as they can go 2022 for complete this all.

Yeah, England and NewZealand does have good positions as they are left with some easy series. It would be disaster for Test cricket if ICC is in mood for any misadventure, there are already many flows in WTC points and ICC wouldn't want to mess things up more.

This series is going to be the most affected series. I was supposed to be for long run and this pandemic just made it worse even after we recover the current situation. ICC will have a very hard time to reschedule all the series.

Anyway, just checking here to see how are we all doing. I hope we all are safe.

Its not tough to reschedule all Test Series but ICC need some back bone , just postpone the WTC Final which is schedule in 2021, move it to 2022 and all cricket playing nation already have mutual commitment for their bilateral series, so no major harm done imo.

But it's assumable that it's not going to be that easy. You will need the crickets mentally fit too. After all these there will be economic crisis in everywhere and crickets are no exception too.

But it's assumable that it's not going to be that easy. You will need the crickets mentally fit too. After all these there will be economic crisis in everywhere and crickets are no exception too.

Very true. We will bounce back from this crisis for sure, but I think it will take 2-4 years to properly bounce back. The world would be in a much better state if the Chinese government got the word out quicker.

Right now ICC is not working on equal basis its working on political basis so many problems and complications appearing they need to think about few things which need some good intention from them then hopefully this test championship could be more interesting and we have some better and healthy cricket but first they need to think what they want and how to manage this all.

There has been no any such commitments for the Pakistan's tour of Netherlands postponed indefinitely.  The PCB chairman is very sad on the permanent postponed of the tournament which was to be played in July. But nothing can be done because of the global Pandemic.

1. Follow same schedule for t-20 world cup.
2. If not then next window is Feb - March 2021 ( in that case ipl will take Oct 2020 slot) -- which you mentioned-

The T20 world cup occurs every two years so if it is reschedule in 2022, then this would mean that the 2020 T20 WC is cancelled.
Only option No. 3 looks feasible at the moment. There is no way that the WC can take place this year and since IPL won't be played this year, the next year IPL cannot be disturbed too.

Let's wait and watch if COVID-19 ruins their plans or not.

Cricket is a business too, some boards are very rich but there are some very poor cricket boards which will go bankrupt if there is no major tournaments for years so they will be expecting the sooner option other than favouring IPL slots.

@JSRAW bhai this shit Covid-19 already ruined many full night and dreams many marriags cancel and many youths sleeping alone so hopefully someone will ruined this and we will able to have cricket in near future right now near my home many youngsters really feeling bad just because of this Covid-19

I saw on the Australian news the other night that the T20 world cup must go ahead some how as there is a lot of money at stake with broadcast rights etc... so I'm thinking that Australia will take the risk with this and go ahead with the T20 world cup but don't know if it will be played in October. 

October is so far now and we can expect that within October, pandemic will not be last anymore. It is expected that the virus will not be so sharp anymore. However, if it does not start at times, ICC and others will have significant loss.

Maybe in other parts of the world but we could see an increase in Australia as our winter starts in June so we could see a spike in corona virus cases due to it being winter and as we know the flu can spread fast in winter which could then turn into corona virus. This is what our governments are worried about as we are heading into a danger period for Australia. So if there is an increase in cases then we could see the T20 world cup be pushed back a few months, hopefully not but we just never know.

@vella85 it seems that BCCI has played a trump card, and has managed to convince ICC and other board members to postpone T20 World Cup (not officially declared though) to 2021 as that’ll allow them to stage IPL in the window set for the T20 World Cup. Furthermore it seems that Australian and New Zealand’s governments have joined hands to eliminate the virus, and so far they’re doing pretty good work and I sincerely hope their methods continue to work and this virus is eliminated completely from both the countries.
