Yeah, big reason. Time has come, BCCI should take necessary steps in this regard, if not then start lobbying for Women cricketer in foreign league. so far only 3-4 players featured in WBBL  and KSL.

WBBL/KSL have limited slots available for overseas players, which means that the younger and emerging players will be left without a chance to play in these leagues. BCCI is a very rich body and there is no dearth of sponsors in India for cricket. Even most of the state boards have their own franchise T20 leagues, such as the Karnataka Premier League, Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) and T20 Mumbai League.

I believe we are going to see WIPL soon, Ganguly doing some good and he must be thinking about this as well.

I took a break from "watching cricket" after the NZ Tour, I was processing the humiliation lol.

Well there were humiliation in women WC final too. I checked the score yesterday lol

In my perspective; Women cricket didn't reached that level where i feel humiliation, no matter how badly they lose Bit disappointing for girls, that's it. they did play well in tournament and outplayed by the Aussie in the finals.

They have given evasive replies about the WIPL, and most of the BCCI officials remain against it. You need to remember that when it comes to money, BCCI is one of the greediest boards in the world. They had a golden opportunity to start the WIPL this year, along with the men's tournament. But the officials were reluctant and they tried to evade criticism by claiming that they "may plan" a women's tournament by 2022 or 2023. This was similar to the delaying tactics played by BCCI and ICC, a few years back to prevent cricket being included in the Olympics.

Agreed with "Greedy" part. I think after 2 WC final lost they might wake up and do something, I don't mind if they start with small campaign such as 4-5 teams in start, completely fine with it as far as our girls playing competitive tournament.

Quite vividly remember how I used to come back from school, switch on the TV, grab a packet of Lays, hit the couch, and well, the rest is history.. Those were the days! It's bringing back all the memories and it will continue to; such has been this series.

Why can't they organize a tournament similar to the WBBL? In WBBL, they have the same teams that play in the men's tournament (BBL). Similarly, the BCCI can ask the IPL franchises to have a women's squad as well and organize a 8-team WIPL tournament. This will be better in terms of financing and infrastructure, rather than forming new franchises specific to the women players.

When I started watching the first innings all childhood cricket memories came back. It was good bowling by Indians actually , Zaheer , Pathan as well as Goni were swinging the ball very well .
Although was disappointed to see Sachin not scoring , was very happy to see Pathan scoring well . He saved the match but more importantly he made it entertaining.

This is really a good series because seeing the legends play together after so many years just take you back to the good old days. SL picked up quick Indian wickets but still could not win the match. Irfan and Kaif still looked so fit and because of this they could help India win the match. Kaif was out at 45 and Irfan was not out at 57 in just 31 balls played a vital role.

Watching my childhood stars play was really something And INDL winning both the matches makes me even more happy. If it wasnt for Irfan and Kaif, IND would have lost to SL yesterday. Sachin, Shewag and Yuvi getting out for few runs was a bit disappointing. But enjoyed the match anyhow. I think that SL team has better players compared to the other teams

Though women cricket might have lower viewership and advertising revenue, hosting one would not be a big hassle for the BCCI. After the success of Mens franchise football, the womens league is also being hosted since 2016 and for last couple of years, they also have gathered some amount of attention. Cricket in T20 format would attract more people if hosted properly.

Why cancel tournaments where crores of rupees are involved and would lead to huge losses. People can instead be screened at the entrance before entering the stadium instead of cancelling a huge event. Also, coronavirus is not that fatal as it's made out to be.

^^^^ India wasn't affected much from the Coronavirus outbreak, at least during the initial phases. But that situation is changing very quickly. During the last week or so, more than 50 individuals have been diagnosed with COVID 19, and almost a dozen were diagnosed during the past-24 hours. Given the contagious nature of the outbreak, I have bleak predictions for the next few weeks and the IPL was scheduled to start in two weeks from now.

The final decision will be taken tomorrow whether or not to cancel IPL. The cases have reached Mumbai too. It's declared a pandemic now and I am shocked to see everyday the number of cases reported are above 100 especially in Italy and Korea. India's number is less as of now but now they are screening people and isolating them till April 14th.

Most likely they'll cancel IPL as people may not even reach the stadium.

Zimbabwe were no match for Bangladesh in their T20 series, I'm not sure how long this can continue for Zimbabwe as its becoming a joke now with the way they play cricket in all forms of the game. Something really needs to change or they risk not having a team in the future, its a shame to see a team that has been around for almost 30 years playing so poorly.

You are right now time for ICC to act and have some strict policy about this because its really hurting badly they are really shit as team in all formats with very poor skills with big defeats which are not helping any one.
