Yes but good thing now its going to be played at the end of Aussies season we have just few months gape nothing like Olympic or Euro2020 for one year.

Women IPL may start from 2021. Just read an article wherein Mithali Raj urges BCCI to start women's IPL from 2021. I do not know how successful women IPL will be but, it will open up numerous opportunities in women cricket.

Can be a great exposure to the Women's cricket and lots of people who don't get a chance to show their talent can show them here . One of the advantages of tournaments like IPL is that , not everybody gets a chance to play in international team ( since only 11 best players are taken ) but playing in IPL will give them international exposure for sure . It will be amazing to see foreign women players playing in our country Hope BCCI considers this.

Guys it has been like just 5 days of lockdown at my place. I don't know where you guys live but we cannot wish this away. The period of infection is 14 days. Right now, what we actually need to do is to make your family, colony and locality pass atleast 14 days indoors. If nobody shows any symptoms then you can assume that your own little island is virus-free. We can go on from there ensuring maximum precaution till a vaccine is discovered. The way this spreads, i don't see how anything can get back to normal till every known case has been identified and quarantined.

Stay safe everyone. Let them push IPL to whenever they want. Those highly paid cricketers and commentators will get the ventilators they need. The normal junta only has its own immunity to rely on. Those of us interested in gaming, maybe we should get some kind of cricket e-sports league going in the meanwhile.

Why don't we use this time to improve our self religiously ?  Read about our religion and try to become a better person. Feel shame on the sins and promise to God to avoid them in the future. We never know how long is this going to take for everything to be normal again. Currently, with every passing day, the numbers of cases are increasing everywhere.

The problem is that no one will be interested to watch these matches. We have men's world cup and women's world cup.  How many of us watch the women matches ?  I even do not know any name of the players of women team from any country. So if we have women IPL, do you think people will match those matches or come to the stadium to support the teams ?  I guess No.

We need to stick together to defeat this virus until a vaccine is invented. The only way we can defeat this virus is by staying indoors and breaking the chain.

The situation is getting worse with every passing day. We still have another 4 days to go in this month, and the total number of infected people have hit the 560,000 mark. For comparison, one month ago the figure was 86,604 (on February 29). That means that the infection rate has increased by more than 6 times. What if the situation continues next month, with another 6x rise in the infections? I am getting really skeptical about the situation.

Most of the leagues are postponed and now at threat to be resulted as it is or dismissed. I don't think it's possible to start any series within next month; not possible even in next couple of months. We are far behind to get a meds/vaccin for this.

However, today there was a statement from Mithali Raj (India women's ODI captain), who asked the BCCI to consider starting a mini-WIPL (similar to the WBBL). I don't know why the BCCI has delayed the WIPL giving the silliest of the excuses. Sourav Ganguly was saying a few months ago that BCCI "would consider" holding the WIPL in 2023. For me, his statement sounded like deliberate delaying tactic.

Yeah she seems pretty excited to play on the stage with greater audience. BCCI really should consider shifting the date to earlier date. Right now, given the situation I think any proper discussion will only be held after the lockdown ends. 2023 doesn't makes sense ...why not now? I am curious to know the reasoning behind it.

Mithali was really happy to see the audience that came to support them in the finals. Indian Women's team really made a good display throughout the WC but I wonder if we will have good audience in WIPL.

It is really hard to sit at home, without any live match being shown in the television. And I am horrified, thinking about the future. Like I said here, the Australian summer goes right into March early April so there is a lot of time for the T20 world cup to be played. The main thing right now is to try and stop the spread of this virus but some governments ain't doing the right thing by shutting the country down like here in Australia. We should be in total lock down but we ain't as of yet.

^ Morrison & co seems slow in this regard, recently one specific Australian cricketer (not good benchmark though)  made a remark on his last speech, where he was rambling about Shopping center-Shirt- lockdown etc in his long 20 mins speech. And authorities not even closing Airspace for overseas arrivals, guess they think they can manage foreign travelers situation easily by forced isolation.

There is no doubt that things are getting worst day by day. The number of people infected by this deadly virus has risen sharply. Not to forget the PM of United Kingdom is now infected too. USA has already crossed the 100k mar and in India it is also looking bad. We can only pray for those who losing this battle and who have already lost and stay indoors.

We are now too helpless and miserable. All thanks to China and the delay by world leaders to assess the gravity of this situation.

I feel bad that when people with access to the greatest inventions in the world think that reading about religion or feeling shame for sins can make us a better person. The "moral lessons" of religion are just an easily accessible education for those who do not have any. For people like us, education is within out reach. I think we shouldn't need religion to realize what is sinful and what's not.

Just wondering, would there still be female cheerleaders by the stands if we actually see a woman IPL. I mean if its women IPL, the cheerleaders could be male models. If women IPL gets going, i hope we can have more of women team sports in the country. It'd take us forward as a country in normalizing the female presence.
