Lock down started which is really worst for many poors like me as now we have to do some hard things for next few weeks but still its better as we have to sacrify for better future IPL is in limbo but still hopes are high for this all.

I saw a fake news in the social media about Putin to let 800 lions to leave on the open street which is obviously fake by the way. The image was taking sometimes in April 2016 and it was somewhere in Johannesburg.

Situation is udner control after lockdown but peoples not taking this all very seriously so authorities now calling army for control as most of youths playing cricket and other sports on street which are not good but hopefully we will fight and survive because now many things going in positive way most effected area is Sindh but Chief Minister doing good job for bringing all things normal in near future kids and youths are really frustrating but they need to be calm for some days for safety.

^^ I didn't heard any official statement so far but as of now India is in complete lockdown for 21 days so no one thinking about sport or cricket anymore. 99% chances are "No IPL" this year.

100% no IPL. When people are panicking for grocery and medicines, who'll bother about IPL 

Olympics also cancelled. I thought 2020 would be a good year but it's the most unfortunate year.  I want 2021 to come soon as when the start is so bad, the end might be even worse

Hindi and Urdu ( official language of Pakistan) are similar when spoken but they have 2 different script. (When writing in Roman script its looks almost same and sometimes no google translater can help )

Good to hear that government are well aware and trying to save their citizens. I bet those kids have not much idea about what is going on. Their parents needs to come forward and force them to stay at home.

Vaccine won't be possible as we don't have one for earlier pandemics too. They'll just wait for either die down or not report cases to say it's gone. It has happened earlier too. I'm scared when countries start fake reporting their cases and deaths we are done.

Actually, it is possible to develop a vaccine for COVID-19 within 18 months provided all the scientists around the world cooperate with each other based on my research which is why I am expecting a commercial vaccine to be available before the end of 2021.

Companies are already starting human trials soon currently. Apart from the vaccine, cholorquine has been somewhat effective against Corona though it is not 100% effective(Some people already died thanks to this medicine).

This is really worst situation as developed countries fail to control this so developing countries like India and Pakistan have no enough resources to control this so this is case Most chances we will not able to have any good activity in next few months because watching on media numbers are increasing very quickly and lock down is going to increase for many weeks.

Well I have my hopes high coz of how well we have handled the situation. Considering the population we have I expected quite some large figures but we are doing great so far. So if this lockdown becomes successful then maybe we have chance of seeing some IPL this year.

But now I think there will be a lot of time even after lockdown being spent on discussions and stuff so it's likely that we could have a cancelled season.

From what I have heard, the rules being laid for the lockdown are extremely strict. No one can venture outside their own homes, without explicit permission from the authorities. And I don't think that they'll lift the lockdown completely after just 21 days. The restrictions may be eased in a phased manner. And for the IPL, the BCCI needs to get all the arrangements done, at least a week before the tournament. For example, they can't get the pitch ready in a day or two. It takes at least a week.

Yeah then in that case seems very hard to have IPL this season. Can't we have 2 matches a day and make the season a quick one?

Certainly, considering the population things are better and still under control and lockdown was necessary as well because 3rd stage as reported in other countries have really a ripple effect. So by far taking decisions have being quick and now it is upto people to continue and follow the same. But what I feel is that even after 21 days on a precautionary case few things may open but not 100% as would still give some time so that it does not happen again. So, in such case April would be over and now how much flexibility does BCCI would need to know as there would be upcoming series of different countries which would not allow the players to skip that and join IPL. I hope somehow, they can manage it but seems very difficult.

Still lockdown is better than a curfew. In lockdown essential services are still working. By the way if you have not heard in the history of Indian railways this is the first time that all passenger services have been cancelled.

Spain is catching up, with close to 4,000 deaths. A lot of people in countries with first or second phase of infection have a wrong assumption that the COVID 19 is a relatively harmless disease like the seasonal flu. That is not the case. It is as dangerous as TB or Bronchitis.

Unfortunately, there is no medicine available to treat stupidity. According to Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, COVID 19 is nothing more than a little flu, and no one is going to die if he gets infected from this virus. He also thinks that lockdown is a stupid idea. Another idiot who comes to my mind right now is Andres Manuél Lopez Obrador, the president of Mexico. He wants families to go out and "enjoy" themselves.

Forget about sporting events for the next six month or may be end of the year. Things have been made more complicated by these stupid politicians. If correct measure were taken early February by most of the countries situation would have been in control by now.

IPL is almost cancelled and BCCI is keeping the organisers money and earning interest on it, because once they start paying all the advertisers and ticket holders they’ll incur a huge loss. Also a summer without IPL will be really boring, and what makes it worst is Ms Dhoni India's former captain wont get a final goodbye in IPL too.

Yes but good thing now its going to be played at the end of Aussies season we have just few months gape nothing like Olympic or Euro2020 for one year.
