NZ batted well but they should have gone for target of 185 runs to challenge Australia batting. Willimson took full advantage of his drop catch at 19, his inning helped NZ in setting target of 172. In reply Aus was in full control of the match throughout there batting. Aus struggled in semis against Pakistan as they lost 5 wickets but in the final they once again have a comfortable win.

The chase was awesome. Mitchel Marsh who received the player of the match and David Warner who received the player of the tournament, played marvelous. These batsmen were just smashing in every bowler's overs. NZ did really score well and there was a great contribution from Williamson but Mitchel, Warner and Maxwell made their game much easier and own the match.

This is where New Zealand slipped down. Their spinners failed to deliver at the final. Australia lost 5 wickets in semifinal against Pakistan due to their spin attack which is totally inefficient in today's match, this way again I wonder on the nature of Dubai pitch.

The moment you win the toss, all bets are in favour of you. There is no need to conduct match in UAE, only have a toss and give victory to side batting second. There were only few encounters where side batting second struggled but overall its comfortable journey for side batting second. Next T20 WC is in Aus and lets hope we dont have such conditions there.

True, I am really disappointed by the choice of venue by BCCI and ICC for the world cup all the games were too biased, no matter how good you play, batting first increases your winning chance by almost 30-40% which is really too much, if you see the whole world cup it was altogether a world cup for the batsmen, no bowler was able to win the match for his team because no bowler could ball well in the second innings primarily due to dew and pitch conditions. I feel ICC should give equal relevance to these factors while deciding their venues, if matches are happening in Asia keep them in summers so they aren't hampered this much by dew.

Australia had a average start to the powerplay. They lost aron finch early but michell marsh has started well till now and warning is setting himself in.
The score is 43-1 after 6 overs which a bit low but the most important thing that warner is still there and if he can be there for bit longer then he can play spin well and can be a big plus in the chase. Lets see what happens.

I disagree. Australia didn't played well in the powerplay. They lost Finch and the run rate plummeted after he got out. At this point, the match still looks 50/50 for me. Both Warner and Mitchell Marsh are at 26 now. But the difference is that Warner took twice as many deliveries as Marsh to reach there (26 vs 13). One thing is sure.. this match is going to go down the wire. I am rooting for New Zealand, but I am not too sure that they'll lift the trophy. Australia are very good finishers and they always perform to their best during the finals.

In this tournament, the toss played a very crucial role. It can't be denied. The majority of the matches between teams of equal strength were won by teams batting second. Even minnows like Namibia and Scotland were able to terrorize the test nations, when they won the toss and sent the opposition to bat. Now it will be difficult to say whether New Zealand would have won the match, if the toss was won by their captain. They were severely weakened by the injury to Devon Conway. Williamson batted well, but he ran out of company at the end.

Yes, the New Zealand is one of those teams who are constantly performing without being noticed too much. Also their team is not very much experienced but have good commitment and performance. They have won against India & England and if they won today, this would mean that they have won against all the big three teams. However, they were unable to beat the most strongest team of the tournament that is Pakistan.

It doesn't matter whether they have beaten Pakistan or not. NZ is in the final while Pakistan is back home. NZ must end this habit of losing WC finals, they have never won any major ICC tournament except ICC champions trophy in 2000. Well, I wouldn't say that playing against Pakistan would have made them a better team instantly because it doesn't work like that. You have to grind to get better. But if they did play against Pakistan, they could spot their weakness and work on that.

How come the puppet ICC give the player of the tournament as David Warner.
This is an unfair decision as Baber scored these runs in 6 innings and warner took 7 innings to score even less runs.

Australian's are mostly play very good in big games, so they have done in semifinal and final we can say they are real champions of cricket with ability of having change things very quickly. After lost against England no one was expecting they can do like this but after this lost Warner and Hazelwood both fight back in very good way Adam Zampa was also very useful in critical situations.
New Zealand done some better in last few years but still they need more time because first they were mostly losing in semifinals now they have habit of losing in finals so losing three finals in 6 years really matter of worry but still good thing they were able to win test championship against team like India.

If we analysis the batting of both the teams, then we shall find the NewZealand batting was dominated by one man, that is Williamson and no other player have scored with the same rate. If Williamson was out early, NewZealand would not be able to make this total.  Almost all Australian batsmen played their part in the win.

I don't get the point. Does the Player of the Tournament award have to be given to the person who has made the most runs throughout the tournament? In total, 289 runs were scored at an average of 48.16, including a crucial half-century in the final. Warner may have less runs, but he deserves it. He is the Player of the Tournament at the 2021 T20 World Cup. Warner wins the trophy because he brought the team to the finals, but Baber Azam does not. While I understand Pakistani fans' frustration, the facts remain the same.
