Then don't bet if you don't know a certain fighter or team, and regarding ground skills, just like Khabib Nurmagomenodov fighters with exceptional Ground skill and has a wrestling and sometimes dominated fighters with no knowledge at all.

What if i very well know a fighter and in this case Abdul Razak Alhassan and his opponent Jacob Malkoun was literally unknown and this is his first trip to the US and he is new to the MMA circuit as well and i could not find any videos nor could find any videos of his fights, when i am betting i go for the fighter who is having the momentum and experience and not with a fighter who had 4 and 1 record.

If this is the case I tend to watch other people that are well known to that fighter, I surely doubt that there is no written information for that specific fighter on the internet or Wikipedia for that given person, but in this kind of scenario I tend to go to known prediction for that fight on the net and sometimes see the odds if given speculation will tally with the odds, then I would go with that bet, and we should surely have information for both fighters in given assessment on the outcome of their fight.

But sometimes instinct is your friend and if you would have something in your mind then go for it and don't mind other speculation.

This is one monster UFC card coming up in just few days and I don't know if I am more excited about main event Masvidal vs Usman or about Zhang vs Rose Namajunas.
I don't think Masvidal can't do anything against Usman who is heavy favorite as odds suggest, but I am hoping that Namajunas can do something spectacular against Zhang.

I did expect the same during the fight between Jorge Masvidal and Ben Askren and i was expecting a ground battle where Ben Askren is dominating the fight but Jorge Masvidal surprised everyone and who knows whether he will be having something similar game plan.

She said, better dead than red, and she meant that about communism, but she will need to give her best to win against chinese champ and it will not be easy.

Are they promoting the fight as America Vs China  .
 

Hehehe, they are not, but, there were instances where it was promoted that it seemed like it was the US vs Brazil, but in this case, this would just cause a major issue so best live it to the fighters to screw things up XD Is she taking some Colby Covington classes for extra credit or is this Pat Barry talking through her?

As for my picks I’ll just try hard not to lose money and go for Crute and Usman parlay and Shev and Zhang parlay.  I’ll prolly bet the under 4.5 rounds for the main event too.  Usman mad.  Lol.

So Rose Namajunas made this quote, i thought the UFC wanted to make it political to create interest in the fight, either way it is going to be a slug fest as both are high paced volume fighters and i want to see what kind of offense she brings against Weili Zhang because with these quotes she conveys that she is confident as we never used to hear any remarks from her rather than prayers even during tensed situation  .

My be Rose Namajunas is taking some lessons from Colby to create interest in her fights. I do remember the US vs Brazil encounters, Brazil does have die hard fans and any fighter visiting them will be fighting before a crowd who is very hostile and you will only hear dead chants  .

I had a bit of a break from predicting for a while, but I'm looking to get some predictions out for the next event. I've had some shocking weeks, but the one time I didn't actually go into an in depth prediction I did fairly well.

Question for you guys: MMA you don't see 10/1 odds easily. Aren't there any David Goliath match ups in any case? Like some kind of inter-division occasionals?

The only chance you got to getting near those odds is by predicting the round, and method of KO. I quite like to bet on Heavyweights going the distance, as they often have the power to end a fight any time, they are usually priced quite well, and of course everyone knows that heavyweights tend to tire quickly, so it can be a decent outcome most of the time.

Kamaru Usman VS Jorge Masvidal

I can see that there is a large possibility that Usman can win this and Usman is like the favorite to win this and prediction mostly pointing for Usman winning, well maybe because this is a rematch and Usman won the first match, you can see that Kamaru Usman really is in control of the fight by taking takedowns and getting really close to Masvidal, and if you look on the match between Gilbert Burns we can really see that Burns is not a pushover and has strength knocking down Usman but Kamaru Usman have turned the tables and we can see that Usman has really improved last time so many are really saying that this fight will go to Usman.

Rose Namajunas VS Zhang Weili

This is a tricky one to predict I really love Rose Namajunas but Zhang Weili had the speed that could make Namajunas struggle with the volume of punch and kicks that might win over a decision, I mean my heart is saying that Namajunas will win but my brain is saying that Weili can really get to Rose Namajunas and win this, This is really a tough decision but again I will surely going to take a bet.

If Masvidal can stay out of Usman's jab I think he could do very well in this fight. That's a big if though, Usman probably has one of the better jabs in the business, and you really saw it against Burns. Burns looked to have Usman a bit shell shocked, and suddenly he regained composure, and sat behind his jab. That's really when it all went down hill for burns.

I do think Masvidal has that unpredictability about him, and I think the odds are probably encouraging me to put some money on him.

As for the Rose vs Zhang. I haven't been particularly impressed with some of Rose's previous fights, and I think Zhang might actually put this one away before the bell.

Yeah, I figured you'd need to have quite some stat research and insight into the matches. Difficult even in football (soccer) for me to get those odds on regular tight games (correct scores or first goalscorer usually the only way to get 10/1). Much "easier" for me to identify an underdog in good form, and a favourite in so-so form. Or when bookies ignore the underdog strength is the fav's vulnerability -- more often identified in team games with longer times to see strategies pay off.

Will look into some of these duration bets too. Heavyweights slugging it out and high strike numbers, for example.

^  You don’t really need stats much in capping the matches cos stats in MMA can be misleading.  Like..  there are fighters who take matches on short notice, so striking average could be lower than normal, gas tank not optimal, etc.  And there’s also some match ups that skew stats one way or another cos some fighters are grappling heavy, others striking heavy...  So optics matter more imho.  You gotta do some tape study which can be time consuming.

It will be shown the first UFC from one year where fans are allowed back in the arenas to watch the fights live.
So it is a big event for certain.
Just watched something on a feed from L.A where they are allowing their fans back in the stadium only if they were vacinated.
I don't know this will end up for them but they are in an open space with a stadium but for the UFC they are in an enclosed arena for their venue.
So only after this is done can see how this all pans out for Dana doing this in Florida where they have a different mind set for all this against covid protocols from other states.

Alas, I have $50 bet on there and the others on another site, so will see which one wins.

It was straight out of a video game the way he looked during that blast by Usman.
I thought the kick from Namajunas was the best shot of the night the way Zhang came forward like she always does, but Usman's was like a picture to hang on your wall. Massive statement by Kamaru!
Just watching the post interview of the fighters and Rose was saying how she has the longest kicks out of the womens division. If that is so, then Zhang didn't have a chance since she is a more compact fighter and that is where her power came from.
So all Namajunas had to do was keep distance from her and let those long leg kicks do the work for her.
Great main card fights by all fighters in this UFC tournament 261.

According to the odds it might be an upset but i was not sure the mental state of  Rose Namajunas coming into this fight after winning a split decision against Jéssica Andrade but she dominated and all three title fights ended up in stoppage.

Jorge Masvidal lasted 5 rounds when he fought on a short notice fight but he could not last that when he had a fight camp. I did not expect a knockout round in the second round.
Uriah Hall won the fight without throwing any punch and the injury Chris Weidman sustained reminds me of the same injury Anderson Silva sustained during his fighting against Chris Weidman and it has come full circle  .

I was expecting domination for Zhang over Rose Namajunas but I didn't expect to see Zhang Weili get knockout by her, That is why I say in my previous post here this is hard to predict we can see that Rose Namajunas is getting better with her faint and her movement is pretty much unpredictable and the power of that kick that delivered to Weili, I may have lost on my bet for this fight but men that fight was really awesome and I really didn't might getting a lost with my bet because Rose Namajunas is really a fighter to watch for now on,

That Cockiness Masvidal shown had to backfire back at him, and I am pretty good at winning this bet even though I have lost the Weili vs Namajunas, Kamaru Usman did it he really is waiting for it, and given a great opening he delivers that devastating punch.

There were also a guy who had broken his leg like this, but I dont remember his name. Silvas was one of the loudest leg breaks injuries ever.
