UFC Fight Night Picks

Angela Hill vs. Ashley Yoder

I don't know if this fight will continue because of Covid Protocols but then let's see if Match 13 if will continue but I think I will go with Angela Hill because of good striking currently have 7 decision wins and 5 TKO, maybe she will surely give Ashley Yoder a beating she will never forget.

Gloria De Paula vs. Jinh Yu Frey

I think both women are great looking but in my opinion, when it comes to the fight Gloria De Paula seems for me is a rising star I think Frey will definitely have a hard time with Paula in my opinion, I really think she will, even though she has a ground move that may abrupt De Paula's Striking, I think that Gloria De Paula can overcome it and send on a devastating combo.

Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad

In my opinion, Leon Edwards had an advantage over Muhammad clearly Edwards was working out on his submission moves and taking the fight to the ground now and I think he is exposed with guys that are taking the fight to the ground aswell I think he is ready to face Belal Muhammad head-on so I will go with Leon Edwards.

I think somebody should interview Matt Serra and Ray Luongo and ask what they think about Sterling’s shenanigans.  And how is the UFC supposed to promote the new BW champ.  Will he have a world tour and carry the belt around?  Lolol.

Anyway..  My leans for UFC Vegas 21 are Semelsberger, Casey, Nicolau, Tucker and Cirkunov.  No bets made yet.

Well, some statements have been made by Longo and Serra. Serra is pissed at Big John McCarthy for criticizing Sterling “You know there alot of people taking cheap shots at him[Sterling] Even guys that you respect, like I heard it from Big John McCarthy. Also, Serra got kicked off the Sterling cornering team so I wonder what that's all about.

Pfuu, I get what you are saying, that it's their team, but in the end, they are individual athletes that can choose whoever they want. And Serra and Longo won't make a fuss about it because now they have a champion in their gym again, and that's a great promotional tool. Heard some stuff about Serra, just hear say, but he's not the easiest perso n to work with so... (mind you, that was 10 years ago, have no idea how Serra is today)

Nothing wrong with Kape being ya boi, he's entertaining to watch and could go places, but I am kinda on the fence about this one because I am not sure he will be able to fight off Nicolau if/when it gets to the ground. I give Nicolau an advantage on this one.

Colby Covington continues to do even stupider things and has no issues with his UFC career. Fighters tend to fight with their teams, stir up controversies, see people in their walls (Ferguson), get restraining orders from their spouses, hit pregnant women with their cars while on coke, take steroids and fail tests, and start massive brawls in the arena, and yet, most of them stay, so I wouldn't worry about Sterling.

This weekend hasn't really got any big names, but I'm still excited to watch some of these fights. I think there's some upsets on the cards again, and my betting will be reflected by this.

Jason Witt Vs Matthew Semelberger

This is either going to be a banger, with a knockout by either of these men or its going to be a long sluggish battle. I'm fancying Witt by decision, simply because it extends the odds a little bit. This is a very even match up on paper, and I believe Semelsberger is the favorite for this one, even if its just slightly so.

Winner: Witt via decision.

Jinh Yu Frey Vs Gloria de Paula

This should be a decent match up, but I can't overlook De Paula here. I think she ultimately takes the win. Now, I'm undecided on whether it'll be submission or points. I don't tend to like betting for a submission, but I think Paula might have her in her.

Winner: De Paula via decision

Misha VS Ryan Spann

You just expect this fight to be capped off with a finish from either of these guys. I'm personally leading to Misha, and I'm somewhat expecting him to surprise a few people with a knockout. I don't have his numbers in front of me right now, but I don't think he's particularly known for his knockout power, but I feel Spann sometimes leaves himself vunerable which I think a man like cirkunov might just exploit.

Winner: Cirkunov (TKO)

Leon Edwards VS Belal Muhammad

For me, I don't see this going any other way than a Leon Edwards win. He's simply too good for the opposition in my opinion. I don't see this fight being finished from either side, and will be betting for a decision.

Well, Edwards made a name for himself with that backstage Jorge Masvidal beef, and everyone has been waiting to see if he can rise up the ranks. If he gets this, he is sure to get that money fight with Jorge. Angie Hill is also on the card, finally. She always seemed like there is more in her than the score would suggest, but if she does not get this win she will have 3 looses in a row, and she could get cut from the UFC.

Few hours left for start and even if there are no big names this time we can still find some interesting fights.
I am especially interested to watch Kape vs Nicolau and Dan Ige vs Tucker, and there are talks how Bilal Muhammad could get a title fight shot if he beats Edwars.
Odds can deceive and I am not ready to bet on Edwards who is heavy favorite at bookmakers, and I expect fight to go long distance.

Gaining and developing talent is a huge part of professional sports name a single major sports organization on the UFC show that puts women at the top in terms of marketing and promotion.

UFC is a MMA promoting private company and their high profile woman fighter was Ronda Rousey and she headlined fights and she was the reason UFC opened their doors for female fighters and before that Gina Carano was a female superstar in Strike force and Cris Cyborg was a dominating fighter but she did not get the deserved promotion.

The problem with Aljamain Sterling and Matt Serra started before his title bout as he avoided Matt Serra from his corner and Serra was vocal about his disapointment.

And yet again we have an NC for an illegal knee. So, based on the pattern on illegal knees and fight results, it seems that intention is the big factor as for instance they declared that Yan had intentionally kneed Sterling, and in the case of Anders last night and let's say, Alvarez and Poirier, both times the knees were thrown unintentionally. That seems to be hard to figure out tbh.

UFC Fight Night Picks

Angela Hill vs. Ashley Yoder

Ashley Yoder had given her best but Angela Hill is just moving forward and closing up the distance while Yoder is always backing up I think both have done a great job but Angela Hill is pretty sure that she gives Yoder a beating and that the score has racked up for her.

Gloria De Paula vs. Jinh Yu Frey

I never think that De Paula would be defeated Jinh Yu Frey pull up a great submission on Paula to rack up the score to be favored by the judge, De Paula really needs to get up because she is a striker, it will be very delicate for her to be on the ground with Frey, well I think both have done well and I really enjoyed their match.

Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad

I think that was unintentional and Edwards doesn't want that to really happen but it is really a bad thing for both men to have an NC on their record was a really bad thing, and that agony and crying of Belal Muhammad was really legit he is really in pain from that poke, it was really upset for both fighters but accident really happens

Instead of fighting, they must watch if the opponent took off the hand out of the ground or not.

Same is with elbow to the grounded opponent - illegal to throw elbow from 12 o'clock direction. How can a judge tell if it perpendicular the floor or 1 or 11 o'clock elbow. Specially if fighters has massive forearms.

Yeah..  Weird card how it ended up.  Two no contests and some very unexpected underdog wins.  That’s the beauty of MMA.  Stats don’t matter much, unlike most other sports out there.  I think I mentioned that Jonathan Martinez is a top 15 guy here or at another UFC thread somewhere...  I take it back.

It is possible and there is an unified rule in MMA but it is not implemented everywhere and all the fight commissions should follow one rule but the recent fight ending were clearly a disqualification even with the new rules. Earlier you are a grounded opponent when you have one finger in the mat but in the new rules one knee should be firmly in the mat to be a grounded opponent. May be there is a confusion in the rule to misjudge that.

Same is with elbow to the grounded opponent - illegal to throw elbow from 12 o'clock direction. How can a judge tell if it perpendicular the floor or 1 or 11 o'clock elbow. Specially if fighters has massive forearms.

I have not seen an illegal 12 to 6 elbow apart from the Jon Jones disqualification and usually the referee calls the fight if he sees it is an illegal elbow and now they have instant replay to make the decision about that and it is rare to get disqualified that way.

It just did, Eryk Anders said that he truly made an error on the heat of the battle and certainly I think this is not intentional because he is upset about what happened,

UFC Fight Night 187 has two fight of NC or No Contest decisions and both are unintentional, it is a pretty disappointing display that there can always be an error in every event and I think this surely happens and coincidentally both fight of Fight Night 187 to be NC, and I think there are surely frustrated bettors out there that had instantly failed in cashing in some great amount.

I missed the fights altogether but placed the bets a few days back and the only loss was Misha Cirkunov as i had no idea about Ryan Spann as i do not remember seeing his fight and Dan Ige was the only win i got and the main event was a bummer and stats does not matter in MMA, in boxing we have an idea on the fight will go and only few matches will be difficult to predict but in MMA everything is unpredictable

What kind of new gloves you are proposing, they cannot have a glove that will restrict their movements as grappling and ground game is involved and if they already had some innovated gloves then they should introduce them as the eyes of Belal Muhammad looked nasty as if someone shot him in the eye.

Next week we have Kevin Holland and Derek Brunson in the main event, do you think it will have he same fate of a no contest . My bet is on Kevin Holland but lets see whether it will be a no contest or disqualification .
