Found an interesting video on youtube called Paulo Costa Steals Khamzat Chimaev's Hat. Now I really want Chimaev to go to middleweight and stay there for a while Cheesy By the look on Costa biceps, hard to believe he is a middleweight. I know that fighters cuts and have off-seasons. But he is like ~100kg there.

Btw, the fight between Chimaev and Holland was so useless for Chimaev, unbelievable. Dont UFC have fighters that can go on a very-very-very short notice? Arent there guys that secure fight? I remember in a fight between Makhachev and Hooker, Ferguson was the guy that can replace any of the fighters, in case something happens. Like one of them gets into hospital during cutting weight. And that looks like a "very-very-very short notice" to me. Which makes me believe there are such guys in UFC and UFC 279 drama was staged.

Weigh ins are done and it looks like Aspen Ladd missed weight by a couple of pounds...  Again.  That's def not a good look as it's been happening a lot with her.  And the match could possibly be scratched from the event if her opponent doesn't want to fight her for missing weight.  Not sure but it's what I heard.

Anyway here are the weigh in vids, face off and the results.  Enjoy.

And the match could possibly be scratched from the event if her opponent doesn't want to fight her for missing weight.  Not sure but it's what I heard.
Usually the case. Opponents get decide whether or not they'll fight with the increased cash reward, but ultimately it's up to them whether they risk that, since weight has been proven to be an advantage more than not. However, honestly it depends since if they've just about missed the weight, that could suggest a bad weight cut, and therefore it might be worth betting against them.

I probably would've gone for Aspen Ladd on my accumulator though, so that's definitely changed things. Hence why I've learned to wait until the weighs have been done to place bets, and of course because of cancelled fights due to weighing in issues.

This is much less scandalous compared to what happened in last UFC event with Islam Makhachev. Smiley
I am not especially excited about this week event but I think co-main event could be a blast with Chidi Njokuania and Gregory Rodrigues.
My main predictions are Corey Sandhagen, Chidi Njokuani and Rodrigo Nascimento Ferreira.

Here's my predictions:

Cory Sandhagen
Gregory Rodrigues
Andre Fili
Joseph Pyfer
Tanner Boser
Anthony Hernandez
Pat Sabatini
Loma Lookboonmee
Daniel Zellhuber
Mariya Agapova
Javid Basharat
Cameron VanCamp

Pretty big event this weekend. Seems like the Aspen Ladd fight got cancelled? Anyway, those are my predictions. As for my betting slip, I'll probably have something like this:

Mariya Agapova via decision
Daniel Zellhuber
Loma Lookboonmee via decision
Pat Sabatini via decision
Anthony Hernandez
Tanner Boser
Joseph Pyfer
Cory Sandhagen

I'm not going for a particular method with the main event, as I think Cory could win this via decision, and KO. So, ain't worth the risk for me, but I do think he beats Yadong. Pat could potentially get a KO, but he could also be dominated on the ground, that'll be an interesting match up. He's fairly strong so hoping he has enough to see Jackson off. Loma is pretty decent, with generally a lot of volume. If she keeps it standing, I'd say the chances of that coming in is fairly high.

This has been suggested by quite a few fans, and I believe some fighters also somewhat accused them of doing this. I always thought that a change of an opponent on the day before would be rejected by the commission, as it's usually a few days before right?

I don't want to go into conspiracy mode, since it's a business, and they can technically do whatever they want as long as the commission agrees to allow whatever they do. So, I wouldn't be mad if that was the case, because it did make the event better, although it was still a little underwhelming I thought, nothing too memorable. However, if that was all staged, and planned then it really does make the UFC look more, and more like the WWE.

It will all end up with this kind of speculation because of a sudden change people will think that Khamzat Chimaev had special treatment by Dana White, and this is the 1st time within the day switch of the fight, but yeah this is all just rumor and conspiracy theory by fans because we surely have a different question that is an answered, and the way the UFC handles it is controversial, but still I don't really believe that Chimaev is the mastermind for all this there is some higher authority that is really orchestrating this, I don't want to say, Dana White?

It could be like the WWE where it is orchestrated by the general manager, but it is bloodier than the WWE, but yeah it is all staged and planned by someone,

And that looks like a "very-very-very short notice" to me. Which makes me believe there are such guys in UFC and UFC 279 drama was staged.

Paolo Costa is one Sick dude, I think this guy is mentally ill, he surely needs a beating a loss from Israel Adesanya is not enough but maybe against Khamzat Chimaev, he may now have 2nd thought in doing this kind of thing, and Paulo Costa being Costa with his secret juice is just relaxing so much for the upcoming fight and I think if these two would have a fight in the future, I think Costa will be missing the Weigh-ins and as Chimaev who likes to SMESH!!! Everybody will accept the fight just like Vettori did, well Costa will be on an advantage on the weight so he can be hard to wrestle on the ground, This is what I see that may come when these two clashes,

It is useless to Chimaev because Holland is still not in the top 15 ranks and getting that short notice you can see how easily Chimaev had worked on the takedown and submission chain on Holland and I think this is Chimaev showing Nate Diaz what could happen to him if he fights Khamzat Chimaev, it will be a brutal fight for him,

Yup, it sure was cancelled.  Sara McMann didn't want to fight Ladd with a couple of pounds over the limit.  She even said it was like cheating what Ladd did.  I guess McMann's camp prolly thinks Ladd wasn't really trying to lose the extra weight..?  Dunno but with Ladd, I wouldn't be surprised.

Anyway here's my lottery ticket for the event.  This is a very low confidence ticket and I haven't even put any money into it yet.  And not sure if I will.  Lol.

Sandhagen - Pyfer - Zellhuber at 2.17
Add:  Boser - Lookboonmee at 5.10
Add:  Robertson - Algeo - Rodrigues at 34.48
Add:  Barriault - Giles at 135.92
Add:  Motta - Gravley - Sabatini at 794.36

Here are my picks and predictions for UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Song

Cory Sandhagen VS Yadong Song

Stake odds for this match are 1.48 for Sandhagen while 2.65 for Song, In this fight it is pretty much interesting, Cory Sandhagen has a lot of feints that Yadong could easily think he can counter and Sandhagen can counter Yadong from that setup Feints, and Cory Sandhagen can pretty much fight up to 5 rounds he can surely go the distance, in my opinion, Sandhagen can win this with that level of a technicality he has, but for Song Yadong He got those powerful shot that could KO Sandhagen when Yadong caught him and comparing to Petr Yan and John Lineker, that could catch Cory Sandhagen, but Song Yadong is faster than these two, so if Song Yadong can be fast enough and can pressure Cory Sandhagen, for me If Yadong wins this with KO/TKO wins, But Cory Sandhagen may go the distance, for me I will still go with Song Yadong,

Chidi Njokuani VS Gregory Rodrigues

Stake odds for this match are 1.76 for Njokuani, while 2.08 for Rodrigues, right now Chidi Njokuani can be very technical but knowing Gregory Rodrigues is well-rounded and has a level of Brazilian Jui-Jitsu more than Njokuani for me I would go with Gregory Rodriguez,

Andre Fili VS Bill Algeo

Stake odds for this match are 1.81 for Fili while 2.01 for Algeo, Andre Fili got a zebra pattern record that I think is not convincing by he is the favorite to win here, while Bill Algeo has a black belt in Jui-Jitsu, so he can surely fight both on ground and stand-up, but for me, I am going to the well-rounded guy, so my pick is Bill Algeo,

What a war from Sandhagen and Song, Song was dominating the round 1 and round 2, but on the round 3 Sandhagen force Song to fight in ground and that's the beginning of how Sandhagen can beat Song. I gonna admit Song is really a good fighter but he lack of focus after using a lot energy on the first 2 rounds and the huge cut on his left eye.

The next event is more interesting since the main card is woman fight Dern vs Yan, I think it will be 50:50, but since Yan is the underdog here, I will bet her to get higher money.

Bloody Zellhuber screwed up my bet. It was for 3k. The other one was Pat, but I can't blame him he just caught real bad. I felt like Zellhuber just didn't do anything. I don't know if we was just caught up in the moment being new, and all that, but he just kicked, and that's it. He must've known he was down two rounds on the third right? He basically lost by volume, and not by quality.

I can see her getting cut, this is multiple times now.

Now the UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Song was really a war it was a close fight in my opinion, and here are the result of my picks

Cory Sandhagen VS Yadong Song ROUND 4 DOCTOR STOPPAGE - LOST

For me, it was a really close match great for the young Song Yadong to hang on with Cory Sandhagen despite his height and reach advantage, and Sandhagen was on the advantage when Cory Sandhagen sprawled into a takedown but it was just a setup to combo his punches or a flying knee to Yadong, even though that Sandhagen's takedown was not really successful it was just used as a set up for his combo, but with those Sandhagen's takedown Song Yadong was capitalizing it and out grapple Sandhagen this is bad for Sandhagen in the future and I think that Yadong is really exposing Cory here, and on round 2 Song Yadong out punch and pressure Sandhagen, and this is not going to be successful if it wasn't for his perfect defense of pivoting head movement I think Cory Sandhagen was just lucky if not for that Stoppage, and even if Yadong losses I think this is just another learning experience for him because this kid is likely still have a high ceiling of progress,

Chidi Njokuani VS Gregory Rodrigues ROUND 2 KO/TKO - WIN

Man, this fight was a war, even though Gregory Rodrigues has gotten a cut on the forehead he keeps on pounding Njokuani giving him heavy punches and even knocking him out while in the 2nd round he pressures Njokuani on the fence then grabs and takes him down, the power of Rodrigues in throwing Njokuani on the ground that leads to a ground and pound win over Njokuani,

Andre Fili VS Bill Algeo ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

Anything can surely happen inside the ring, and this fight is the unexpected one, that I thought Algeo will be dominant but Fili is more adept at striking so well from round 1 to 3 Andre Fili is amazingly dominating the fight, and I am not really excited about the result because I lose another bet,

This was night of horror cuts in UFC!
Well done Sandhagen for deserved win, but Song's face was messed up in this fight, and Gregory Rodrigues face was much worse from fight with Chidi Njokuani.
Dana White shared before and after operation photos and I think you can see Rodrigues bones and brains, but he won this fight  Cheesy
Better watch full main card again if you want to see how this happened.

^  Yeah and during the match you could see a little swelling around the cut.  All in all a decent event once again even if it didn't have a lot of the more top tier fighters in terms of popularity.

I wouldn't call it 'dominating'.  They were close rounds with Song getting the first and leaning on Sandhagen at the second.  R3 is a no brainer, that's when shit hit the fan for Song.  Lol.  That was def Sandhagen's round and so was R4.

Song's cut is a killer. he manages to still fight in the 4th round. Cory should have won this fight. what made the decision win for Song is surprising. if there is 5th, it will be Cory's. i'm not the judge but it would make me feel good to see Song win. but if i am a judge i'll give him the 5th. i feel the pain when i saw the gruesome image. an elbow did that? feels like seeing Overeem's lip again.

I had goosebumps just looking at those, and what is that white thing on there, it really gives me the creeps and this event was full of cuts, 2 have been cut to the forehead, but Even though Gregory Rodrigues has a cut it is good that the doctor didn't stop the fight, unlike the Cory Sandhagen VS Song Yadong fight that I think Yadong could have a chance in winning it, for me round 1 and 2 Song has outpunch Sandhagen during that rounds, then on round 3 Cory Sandhagen executed a takedown fake then aim for a flying knee or an upper,

I wouldn't call it 'dominating'.  They were close rounds with Song getting the first and leaning on Sandhagen at the second.  R3 is a no brainer, that's when shit hit the fan for Song.  Lol.  That was def Sandhagen's round and so was R4.

It was a close match, but Yadong out punch Sandhagen because of the speed of Song Yadong he has given Sandhagen a hard time on the stand-up and pressured him to the corner, but when Cory was in the corner it seems that Song Yadong doesn't know what he's going to do, you can say that the volume of punch was for Song, but it was not powerful enough to knock out Sandhagen, Well we have a different opinion but for me, I really think Song Yadong have the chance in winning this, it is wasn't for the cut and the doctors stopping the fight,

Song's cut is a killer. he manages to still fight in the 4th round. Am I reading this right, you have said that Song Yadong has won the fight and Cory Sandhagen should have won the fight, I think you have watched the wrong fight, or you didn't watch the fight yet, because Cory Sandhagen won the fight with a doctor stoppage, which is a bummer because Gregory Rodrigues cut was the more awful one and they didn't stop the fight but Song Yadong can still fight it, and may have won this fight, that is why I want a rematch,

I was horrified watching both cards, there were so many bad injuries. Rodrugiez is a really crazy guy, he got a knee hit on the head while he was double diving in the first minutes of the game, and that knee slash left him with a cleft. It was probably the worst I've ever seen, but the referees said they didn't finish the match, it could continue. Then he managed to beat Njokoan in the second round, what a comeback. He fights so professionally that I never felt uneasy, despite the bloodshed.

The same injury occurred in the main card match, Song was badly injured. He had a large opening in his brow. Sandhagen easily pass his opponent's guard with elbow strikes. Song took a lot of elbow hits. Song is a strong athlete, but it was very easy for me to predict what he will do, it would be better if he created a different style.

Hehe those are not brains, that might be a vein or an artery. If his brains were exposed during a fight, it would be stopped and the fighter would be taken quickly to the hospital.

I did not watch this event because I thought it would be quite boring hehe. I was waiting for Canelo vs. GGG 3, however, it appears in that picture that Canelo vs. GGG was the boring event hehehe.

Gregory Rodrigues is a monster he puts a lot of pressure on Chidi Njokuani so much that he is backing him on the fence and even though he got that cut he is still pursuing Chidi Njokuani, I think because he was hurting on the forehead he persuades it and brawls through the pain, that is one persistent guy a fight to the death mindset,

In Song Yadong's case Yadong didn't win because of the Doctor Stoppage surely Sandhagen is one tough bastard to crack he surely has one durable chin, and Cory Sandhagen knew about the cut on Yadong's eyebrow that he keeps on pondering shot on it, but for me, if there would be a rematch between this two I would still prefer Song Yadong and this time I think he knows what he is going to do the next time they meet up inside the octagon,

Canelo VS GGG was a boring match indeed, I have watched the replay for Gregory Rodrigues VS Chidi Njokuani and it was a lot of fun to watch indeed Njokuani knockdown Rodrigues 1 time but Gregory Rodrigues recovered fast, then become enraged and he let hell lose to Chidi Njokuani, that made Chidi Njokuani fall down so he could ground and pound him to the ground, it was a spectacular thing to watch,

^ Pretty much not a great card but still a UFC event with the Beautiful Mackenzie Dern I think your list is not updated and there are particularly Preliminary fights that are not included in there,

So here are the additional fights for the Preliminary Card

Bantamweight: Randy Costa VS Guido Cannetti
Middleweight: Brendan Allen VS Krzysztof Jotko
Women Bantamweight: Julija Stoliarenko VS Chelsea Chandler
Lightweight: Joaquim Silva VS Jesse Ronson
Light Heavyweight: Maxim Grishin VS Philipe Lins
Heavyweight: Aleksei Oleinik VS Ilir Latifi

And here is the Canceled fights

Cody Garbrandt vs. Rani Yahya - Yahya Withdrew
Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Chris Daukaus - Bout Reschedule

It was a Canceled fight that I have known a fighter the Cody Garbrandt VS Yahya fight I think will be a great one but Rani Yahya withdrew from the fight, while the Jairzinho Rozenstrik VS Chris Daukaus is an extreme one but the bout has been rescheduled, it was a bummer but pretty much it is still OK,

All Information was from TAPOLOGY
