I hope Sri Lankan batters will put up competitive scores in their second innings, but they have already lost two early wickets. As a result, Australia has a healthy lead of 109 runs! We'll see if they're bowled out for less than 150.

Sri Lanka is facing a batting collapse right now and the Sri Lankan team have lost 6 wickets for only 96 runs. And they are still trailing. I really don't see them winning in this match.

Main difference was discipline from the bowlers. We already know that Lyon always stick to one line delivery, no matter if pitch offering something or not and other bowlers also reaped the rewards of Lyon's tight bowling on the other hand SL bowlers failed completely.

This Head's 4-for was brain fade moment for the SL's batter tho.

I never thought Sri Lanka would play so badly. I thought Sri Lanka would play badly but I didn't know it would play so badly.  However, Australia seems to be a very strong team.

India lost their first wicket by 27 runs, and Shubman Gill returned to the dressing room with 17 runs. Experienced players like Virat Kohli, Iyer, Pant and Jadeja are in the Indian squad. Hopefully the match will be competitive.

James Anderson seems to be improving as he ages. This guys is already 40 years old and his deliveries are getting unplayable by the day. He got both the openers (Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara) in the first session of play, before rain interfered. Virat Kohli is at the crease along with the useless guy Hanuma Vihari. Let's see how it goes from here for the visitors. BTW, did anyone followed the match between Australia and Sri Lanka? India lost their first wicket by 27 runs, and Shubman Gill returned to the dressing room with 17 runs. Experienced players like Virat Kohli, Iyer, Pant and Jadeja are in the Indian squad. Hopefully the match will be competitive.

India did not start their innings well. Two openers Shubman Gill and Cheteswar Pujara were dismissed for 17 and 13 runs respectively. I thought Pujara would play a big inning today. Because Pujara and Hanuma Vihari was batting quite responsibly. Pujara was dismissed for 17 off 46 balls. And Hanuma Vhihari is still unbeaten on 14 off 46 balls. Kohli and Hanuma Vihari are still at the crease. If these two players do not form a big partnership, I guess India will lose all the wickets before 200.

The pitch was so horrible that Travis Head picked up 4 wickets. Can you imagine this? Before this match, Mr.Head had a total of 0 wickets from 26 matches. If Alex Carey was not there in the squad, then in all probability he would have been the keeper. This entire series is turning out to be a shit show. If I was the chairman of the ICC, then I would immediately ban Sri Lanka from test cricket or at least ban them from hosting any international matches.

 I do not understand from where you got that audacity to proclaim that you are a king/queen of a pitch and decision maker. Just read what you said, if a host team follows your recommendation then they will always be buried.

Technically you should point out on the performance of a team than question the pitch. It is known that South Asian countries create pitch suitable to a spin bowler? This is why they have maximum spinners.

Overall it is the srilankan team and the board that has to be blamed. Moreover, I am happy they are generating revenue not like Pakistan where their minister said donot drink tea or we will be bankrupt.

As a result of being bowled out quickly in their second innings Test, Sri Lanka had their shortest innings ever. The Australians played a good replay after a humiliating loss in the ODI series. Sri Lanka lost both T20I and Test Series versus Australia at home. Sri Lanka's batting failed and their bowling combination was not great, looking like Sri Lanka is falling behind teams like BD, WI, and ZIM.

India were likely to lose all their wickets before 200 runs. But due to the responsible batting of Rishabh Pant and Jadeja, maybe India will be able to collect more than 200 runs. India lost their fifth wicket by 98 runs. They managed to score 50 runs from the partnership of Pant and Jadeja. Apart from these two batsmen, there is no other experienced batsman in the Indian squad. And so if Pant and Jadeja are out, India's innings will end very quickly.

India have scored 286 runs and has not lost any other wickets. Rishab Pant's batting surprised me. He scored 128 runs off 99 balls. Pant's strike rate is more than 129. And India collected 75 runs in the last 10 overs. Although Jadeja batted responsibly, Rishab Pant is very aggressive today. If India can collect like 350-400, it will be a good collection for them.

Rishab Pant returned to the dressing room after collecting 146 runs. He has hit 19 fours and 4 over boundaries. Seeing his batting, I thought he was performing in a T20 match. However, the sad thing is that he could not score 150 runs for only 4 runs. Jadeja is unbeaten on 83 runs. At the end of the first day, India's collection was 338/7. India will probably lose all their wickets between 360-370.
