One thing I understood after the England vs New Zealand series, if England play a test match like a test match it'll surely loss wickets and struggles to score. When they start playing the test match as if like playing an ODI or T20 then they get into the track and make a winning. Now other teams will be making strategies on how to face England while playing test matches.

There is no guarantee that this strategy will work everytime. Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton added more than 200 runs for the 7th wicket partnership at almost a run a ball. And New Zealand bowlers have done this so many times. When they have the opponents almost wrapped up, they allow the lower order to build huge partnerships. When Ben Foakes got out, I was expecting England to get bundled out for a total of less than 100. But now it looks as if they may make a total of more than 400 and get a sizeable first innings lead.

Ofcourse they are going to face failure sometimes but this new approach is very refreshing and interesting to watch, other teams should also learn a thing or two if it's suit their gameplan.

Team doesn't need 11 power hitters in the Red balls. 2-3 guys in top-middle order are more than enough for such task. England changed the behavior of ODI in international arena so i don't mind if they follow the same path in Tests too.

I remember Rishabh hitting a spectacular 91 (from 88 balls) in the first test. But India lost that one. Hosts came back strongly and won the series 3-1. And in the last match, once again Rishabh hit 101 from 118 balls. Apart from Rishabh, a few others such as Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Ashwin were also scoring quick runs.

I think England will continue their winning streak in the last match as well as the first two. I would say England are very lucky. After losing 4 wickets for just 21 runs and 6 wickets for 55 runs, England managed to collect 360 runs. Jonny Bairstow scored 162 runs. Bairstow can assist the team when team needs him. England won the second match because of his remarkable 136-run innings.

New Zealand lost the wicket of Will Young by just 28 runs. At this moment they have been able to take the lead of 8 runs. They need a big partnership. If the target is less than 400, the chances of winning are very low.

Neither their players nor their management has the will to do well in the Test format. At the moment, none of the players in the Bangladesh team except Liton Das can collect runs regularly. If this continues, they will go down further in the test ranking.

I think you're from Bangladesh or you're hard supporter of Bangladesh cricket team. I just saying this based on the disappointment you expressed over the performance of Bangladesh cricket team. Bangladesh somehow managed to score 234 runs which is a big thing in this match. West Indies have begun the innings and it looks like in good form scoring 67 runs without wicket fall.

I am not a fan of Bangladesh cricket but i'm worried about Bangladesh's performance. I love cricket and so I try to keep track of almost every team. Just as I am concerned about Bangladesh, I am also concerned about Australia's current form. Australia was playing very badly against Sri Lanka in ODI format.

I don't often say this but I also agree that test cricket needs players like them so that this format of cricket becomes a lot more lively. We all know that test cricket is dying and only a few series like the ashes are keeping the test cricket alive. Before we also had India versus Pakistan drama but now we don't also have anything like that to look forward to.

And I also agree that a team does not need to be made with 11 players who are the best in the world. If every player knows what his job is and tries to give his 100% in that I think a team doesn't need anything more. It is going to be really hard to revive test cricket again but with these types of entertaining players it's might just be possible.

The West Indies played well on the first day. But the wickets will be slower as the days go by. Bengalis have been able to pick up valuable wickets. If they can get all out before giving them the lead, then there will be a plus point for Bangladesh. But I think Bangladesh will win this test match or it will be a draw. After losing first test matches now they are having very bad time in second test match as well their batting is completely down with no one able to give some stand right now West Indies is having very good time, and they can win this second match as well which is going to be good for them. Mominul is having very bad time because he is completely fail in batting and his poor captaincy is also bringing them down.

It's time for BCB to act quickly and have some strong domestic changes for better results in test format because without strong domestic set up they can't survive even they can go down against Afghanistan and Ireland which are new but having some better quality which can give them higher rank in test format.

If these both able to stay at crease for long time then surely it's going to help their cause otherwise most chances England under new captain going to win this series by big margin of 3 - 0 new captains and coach both are having good time in their first series and most chances they will win remaining matches of this season as well against India and South Africa.

At the same time, they have struggled in the test format, especially if held outside the subcontinent. Apart from a revamp of their domestic structure, one thing that may help is if some of their key players take part in English county cricket (4-day). Players from Australia, South Africa and Pakistan regularly take part in this tournament and all of them benefit greatly from playing in different conditions against quality bowlers.

It will take a remarkable partnership and a perfect rescue act to remove the pressure and transfer it to the English batters. New Zealand have Mitchell and Blundell. The English bowlers should be able to break this partnership as soon as possible to ensure a wonderful day for the hosts. If they can hit 250+, then surely NZ will be the favorites. However, England remains the favorite for this match. It's no secret that Jonny Bairstow has returned to his best form in Test cricket. I thoroughly enjoyed his innings.
