Agreed. I have no idea why they are sending him so late down the order, but he seems to be doing well in any position these days. South Africa could win this one if they give England a lead of +300 since Philander is on fire currently.

Proteas sent tailender Anrich Nortje as Night watchman, just to save De Kock. no teams likes to send regular batsman when few overs left for the Stumps. Agreed they have good chance of winning the first game.

Going to be interesting match as England require another 351 runs and still 10 wickets left . But very much likely that SA will win the match easily as 2 days still left in the games play . If England has slightest  of the chance then the top 3 batsman has to big innings.

I believe that it was a good thing that I cashed out my bet on SA early at 1.5x. Considering the current scenario, I believe that ENG now have a chance to win this match.

They have two days full days no one its enough time for them one opener is already set and he can give them some good stand with other batsmen now need some calm and patience from expereinced players for this historical win very good fightback by them after very poor first inning bowlers also on target now just batting lineup can complete this all.

It is still very difficult to predict and I would give 50/50 chances to both the teams. If the target was in the 300-320 range, then I would have gone with England. But they need 376 to win (255 more with 9 wickets in hand now), and the South African bowlers seems to have regained their form. Today is the fourth day and Keshav Maharaj will be getting a lot of support from the pitch. Also, Vernon Philander picked up 4 wickets during the first innings and he may prove to be a bit tough to handle for the Brits.

Nothing surprising here. New Zealand has been winning primarily due to their bowling these days(Not batting) which is where they seriously need to improve.

2 consecutive defeat with 200+ runs tells the story of this tour. I would say disappointing performance from Kiwis so far, especially Williamson.

This game is balanced atm. both teams has equal chance of winning the game. if South Africa goes wicketless in the first session then they are in big trouble. Personally i would like to see 3-4 hour of good cricket from both sides with bat and ball.

I am not watching this game,but I am seeing the scores too often since the match is getting more excited.RSA really have a chance if they can tempt ENG tails to play strokes than defending balls.

Now England need 156 runs Root and Baristow on and South Africa going to take new ball its very important time for both teams Rabada going to start with new ball and Root survived and Bairstow four on first new ball very interesting match still balanced for both sides.

England lost their 5th wicket and still need 153 runs to win the match and there is plenty of time and the advantage for England right now is that Joe Root is still in the crease and if South Africa need to win then they need to pick his wicket and he is accompanied by Buttler and one more wicket and then the tail will get expose and it is interesting to see how Buttler is going to approach the match, will he try to smash the ball rather than holding on to his wicket.
