South Africa lost three quick wickets but now they are able to stabilize as Dean Elgar and Rassie van der Dussen are trying to built a partnership and they need to play a longer innings as they are still trailing by 144 runs.

Both looking good now, they are close to 100 runs partnership for 4th wicket  so its positive sign for SA. Rassie van der Dussen got one lifeline due to no-ball, he should take this opportunity from both hands.

Umpiring is shit in the match so far, they are even missing the big no balls. Time has come that ICC should fix the role of 3rd umpire for every no-ball check even in Test Match.

I still believe that South Africa will win this though.

My money is on SA as well but who knows if something goes wrong during the 4th inning, chasing target is tough in any condition.

So now something good for England as Bess take wicket of Elgar out of 88 and now South Africa is 157/4 traling by 112 runs this test is going to be very interesting as South Africa will be on for fourth and last inning.

Advantage? They only scored around 63 and still have a long way to go which is why Australia is in full control at present. New Zealand batsmen have to play spectacularly if they wish to upset the Australians which I doubt will happen.

The reason i said is that the New Zealand openers are playing really careful defending the good balls and if they are able to continue that for a few session then they can frustrate the Australian bowlers and with the slow pace they are playing it all depends upon how big of a partnership the openers can give and without the presence of Williamson it will be a huge task.

South Africa is struggling as they lost their 6th wicket and it looks like England will have a lead over them.

Finally they lost 8 wickets and still trailing by 54 runs at the end of day 2 stumps.There is less chance from now for RSA to get some runs as lead which give little benefit for the england and also will be more difficult for South African batsmen to play on day 4 and 5.

England is in control of the match, South Africa misses a player like Kallis caliber to hold the innings and that is the problem with many Test playing countries now, they all have flashy players and luckily for Australia they found some good youngsters who are consistently performing well and South Africa and England ar missing a player which is consistent and in the last match Quinton de Kock played well to get the runs on the board but in the first innings he failed to score and they are still trailing 54 runs and they will look to reduce the England lead and that is the best they can do and if England is able to score a good second innings score then they can win the match as there is plenty of time left for the match.

But still its good match as now we can say any body game if England able to have very little lead then its moral booster for them and they will do some good in second inning which will surely going to hurt South Africa because they are going for fourth inning which is never been easy for any team.

New Zealand don't want to be clean swept so they will make it as hard as possible for Australia. I think Lyon will play a big part if Australia are to win this match.

Both teams have a spinner on their playing squad but none of them are biggest names IMHO but England got part time blowler as Root the skipper of ENG can bowl as well if the ball starts swing so South Africa will be the one to struggle more because they are going to play the final innings of this match.

NZ would be disappointed as they could not capitalize the start the openers gave ystd where they did not lose a wicket and today have already lost 6 wickets for just score of 205 runs and remember their first wicket had fallen on 68 runs. Definitely OZ would get a good lead in their first innings as NZ might not cross even 300 it seems now.

New Zealand at 6/210. They would have been seven down, but Pattinson overstepped the mark when he got Phillips out. It was initially ruled as a wicket, but the 3rd umpire then overturned the decision. To avoid the follow on, they need 44 more runs. With four wickets in hand, they should get there comfortably. Let's see how they fare during the final session of the day.

New Zealand are all out for 251 runs and its looking like its going to be another Australia win unless New Zealand happen to get some quick wickets and put Australia under pressure but even then it will be tough to chase down anything over 350 runs on this pitch. Like I said in my previous post, Lyon will be the one that can help Australia get the win which he took 5 wickets in the first innings and he will play a major role in the second innings.

How are the umpires unable to detect so many no balls? Incompetent ICC has done very little to improve umpiring conditions due to which we are observing more and more of these errors at present. It still baffles that me that this is happening when new technologies like VAR aid them. 

Like I said in my previous post, Lyon will be the one that can help Australia get the win which he took 5 wickets in the first innings and he will play a major role in the second innings.

It does seem like Lyon will be the star bowler in the 2nd innings since he has consistently taken wickets in the recent matches. Australia will probably win this one by a big margin once again and NZ continues failing. Not surprising at all.

Poor South Africa all out - 223 runs and England finally got the very important lead of 46 runs.
Anyone rooting for SA or waiting for another twist from English Batsmen.

At the end of Day 3 OZ got 243 runs as lead with no wickets lost so they are going to make some quick runs on Day 4 and let the NZ to get trapped in middle of scoring runs or defending for whole one day to draw the match.Already I feel this is match for OZ.

Australia already lead by 243 runs and there are still two days left in this match. Australia should easily win this match at Sydney and NewZealand team has once again proved that they are not good team when they play outside Newzealand. Also this match has good umpiring standards as Aleem Dar, A Pakistani umpire is umpiring this match.

Since there is third umpire and camera used, the manual umpiring standards are gone down. Everyone knows that the technology will tell the run out, lbw and no ball decision so this has made the umpire lazy. We should verify the  decisions  from the third umpire but there should be a plenty if any umpire gives a wrong decision initially.

The way NZ batsman started their innings thing were different from them than yesterday it seems as they started losing quick wickets and we understood that this game is going to be OZ game and exactly this is what is happening. As OZ now lead by 243 runs and have 10 wickets in hand. They will give something like 500 target to bat and will win the match.

Am still rooting for SA even though they missed a golden opportunity right here. If they somehow manage to dismiss England within 250, they still have a shot at winning this one.

Its not just the main umpire in the middle. I have observed so many wrong decisions from the VAR umpire and other umpires too these days which is why I made that statement. They need to make a new bet deciding whether umpire will make the right decision or not(Joke).
