Quick list of Indian players, i might have missed 1 or 2.

1. Kohli - His schedule is already packed as he plays all 3 format
2. Bumrah - Same as above
3. Rohit - Stopped playing domestic cricket. not regular in the Test format.
4. Ambati- Bad luck followed him after retiring from the domestic cricket, BCCI didn't like it and poor lad got kicked out from the national team.
5. Gill - Sometimes when not playing for India A
6. Iyer - When not playing for India or India A
7. Shikhar- Denied playing in the Ranji, kicked out from the test team.
8. Chahal/Kuldeep - They play but not much.
9. Bhuvi - Injured, he used to be a regular in all 3 squad
10. KL Rahul -Started playing in the domestic after kicked out from the Test Squad
11. Rishab - Stopped playing domestic cricket as he's regular member in the all 3 squad for quite some time.
12. Shami- Same as above
13. Jadega- Same as above

But those who are not playing regularly, should prove their worth in the domestic setup. Unfortunately, this is not happening in any of the South Asian nations (Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka.etc).

I thought players who are returning from a long lay off due to injury or when they are out of form should prove their worth by playing in the domestic tournament to proove their worth, if they are not competing in those tournament how are they going to showcase their talent and fitness to get to the national team. What is the method they are using for selection for these fringe players.

The post by JSRAW is very informative. In particular, I am not very happy with Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant. These guys should at least occasionally appear in the domestic matches. Rishabh Pant is just 22 years old and he is not a regular in the playing XI. If he shows attitude like this, then his career growth may get stunted.

I would like Bhuvi, Shami and Pant to return back to domestic cricket when they are not playing internationally. Because all 3 of them are not always in the side. Sometimes they are in and sometimes they are out. Domestic cricket will help them to get back their form and to continue just like consider it as a net practice. Also, the younger talent will get help when they play as they will learn and see them playing live for many those will be the role models who may be looking will also get a chance to play with them.

In context of playing in the Ranji, i think Rohit always gets a pass because he's Mumbikar . Dhawan's test career is finished for good so he's never going to play in the Ranji ever, but he should feature in Vijay Hazare and Deodhar Trophy now and then. For more clarity, the reason we don't seen Rishabh in domestic arena because BCCI always keep him as a backup WC-Batsman in the all 3 squads (T-20, ODI, Test) and when he's not in the playing XI, he sits at the bench instead of representing India A or his state, so its kinda BCCI's fault not his.

Tried to Cover Pant's situation above. Shami is playing more or less all 3 format and he's performing quite well. He's fast bowler so he deserve some rest when not playing any limited over cricket (T-20/ODI). TBH BCCI managing and rotating their fast bowlers quite well so i have no complaints as far as fast bowling is concern. Bhuvi's situation is worrisome due to his injuries though. I like him as a cricketer and person so i hope he makes his comeback in the squad or Ranji soon.

Bhuvanesh Kumar is injured and so is the reason he is not in the International set up and he needs to focus on fitness and Mohammed Shami is overcame his fitness issue and bowling really well and he needs rest rather than venturing into Domestic matches as India is playing more Test ODI and T20 and on top of that IPL and if they have a dip in form then they need to play domestic matches and in the case of Rishabh Pant he needs to have more exposure in the domestic setup and pile up runs to get the confidence to play International matches including improving his wicket keeping skills.

Peoples are very furious about him even Afridi is one of worst cricketer in cricket history as many bad and worst recoreds on his name but right now peoples love for his social works and some of his Foundation which is now working in many rural areas of Pakistan so better we not talk about him and lets talk about some good in coming days of good cricket.

There are no true all rounders in cricket for decades, now all the tag all rounders has a sub tag as well, bowlers who can bat a bit and batsman who can bowl a bit and if you look in that sense Shahid Afridi is an allrounder, even though he started out as a bowler he came into the Pakistan team as an explosive opening batsman and when he gets going he is a force to reckon with the bat and could win matches single handily and he was a decent fielder as well.

Jacques Kallis is the last true allrounder we saw in world cricket and Andrew Flintoff is another close player who had the potential but he showcased his bowling potential only during the 2005 Ashes but he could not fulfill the potential constantly.

I never said Afridi was a consistent allrounder, historically there is only one allrounder for Pakistan and that is Imran Khan and there is no other player that can be tagged as an allrounder in the history of Pakistan cricket if you are looking at that lense.

This new rule of not shining the ball is introduced keeping in view of the covid-19 and these are the temporary rules. The ball cannot be shine with  saliva but what if it is shined with the sweat of the players ? Players hand are wet from sweat and they can use it to shine the ball. Can't they ?

The other great rule is that if a person develops symptoms of covid19 in a test match he can be replaced with other player and neutral umpires is another good step including in the rules.
