I'm very happy with my SP20's performance with p2pool, it's steady and to spec. I do have a couple of questions though, if someone can help me out: I want to experiment with the -queue setting, as from my experience p2pool likes this set to zero & reduces the DOA/stale rate. I presume that as there is no flag in the cgminer command already - it is using the default setting of 1? When I add the command "queue":"0" to cgminer via ssh & restart the miner, the queue flag is displayed on the cgminer pools page, but with no value stated underneath, instead of showing 0. Is this a bug, or am I unable to use the queue command on the SP20? You can change params in /etc/cgminer.conf. You can also replace cgminer in /etc/bin/ with custom cgminer, or with script that will call any excecutible with any parameters. I am not experienced with cgminer in p2pool to help beyond that. Also, on the asics stats page, am I correct in thinking that board 0 corresponds to loop 0, board 1 to loop 1, etc? I've noticed that loop 0 & 2 are running at a lower temp than loops 1 & 3 - so was wondering if I can increase the watts to those loops/boards via the settings page? Or do the watts have to be the same for all 4 boards (power units on the settings page)? There are 4 virtual boards in SP20, and the back boards (1/3) are throttled more in temp over 17C because they are not getting cool air. Increase fans or decrease ambient temp, if possible. Thanks in advance Inline.

Friday til Monday. However, i have a sneaking feeling that batch won't last til monday and will sell out pretty quickly. it's an excellent price.

I have an Emerson 1200 PSU failure .. what would be the easiest way to contact SPT for warranty? The PSU green LED light does not power up anymore. I tried to SWAP them .. just powering the other part of the SP30.

I am at 1.5.8, I just reapplied it to see and it didn't make any difference. Once the intake temp drops to 0 or lower it stops hashing. I'll get about 100 shares processed and then it stops mining. After several minutes the entire unit will reboot and go through the same sequence.
This issue was fixed for SP10s in 1.5.10. I tested it over a week ago, and SP10s work fine on 1.5.10 in temperatures down to at least -10°C. I recommend users of SP20s and SP3Xs try to keep their intake temperatures above 5°C, as we've noticed reliability issues at low temperatures. The current hypothesis is that thermal expansion coefficient mismatches in the ASIC package and hashboard PCB is causing solder joint fractures and separation at very low ambient temperatures.

Zvi, I am still having an issue with my SP10 running with intake temperatures at or below 0c. Technical support suggested that I update my firmware to 2.5.13, however it is unavailable in the web GUI. I found the following kb regarding the issue with low intake temps, http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/15824368-version-2-5-12That support article seems to indicate that it is for SP20. SP3X. Is it even possible to apply that firmware to an SP10? If not is there a manual workaround that can be done to get the unit hashing with lower than 0 degree intake? "Version 2.5.12 became the official, 2.5.6 removed and 2.5.13 is the latest experimental. 2.5.12 - different handling of BIST and Murata flow - improves stability. 2.5.13 - sets default (after factory reset) values to 1275/288 in SP3x/SP2x. Redirection bug fixed. Handling of ambient temperatures lower then 0c added." 2.X.X are for SP2x and SP3x. Update to latest version (I think it is 1.5. - you might need to update FW twice (till it says that you have the latest image). I am at 1.5.8, I just reapplied it to see and it didn't make any difference. Once the intake temp drops to 0 or lower it stops hashing. I'll get about 100 shares processed and then it stops mining. After several minutes the entire unit will reboot and go through the same sequence. Zvi, support is not responding to my email requests for 3 days now. Can you please let me know if there is a manual workaround I can apply to get my SP10 working under 0c? I'm down for almost 2 weeks now and hope there is a solution other than selling the gear.

Lurker here also from Canada thought I would chime in. You need to be a bit more reasonable with electronics outdoors methinks. Other than Panasonic Toughbooks operating at -18 outside, not much else. However I ran a 4 GPU mining rig outside last December in -25! most of the winter. But I gave it a chance. This outside on a patio exposed not even in a garage. I covered the rig with a large cardboard box and modified that (vents / fans) to give the rig a chance to warm up and operate. I would suggest you do or try the same; improve the miners immediate surrounds with such a carton or cardboard box, or even some a/c venting or tubing from the exhaust around to the intake to let it take in some warm air. A quick check of that miner's PSU operating temp. states -10 C upwards. That may be your issue. Try a shipping carton, cardboard box over the miner then monitor the running temps of that enclosure once up and running and modify that. -17 bare exposed electronics like even warming up your car sitting overnight in those types of temps will always be difficult regardless of software / firmware other updates. Good luck!

Order 3242. I don't have a ticket number, but have sent 3 emails through your contact form on your website.
Found the ticket. Your miner will be shipped on Sunday and we'll compensate for the delay from the 18, as written few pages back. Guy Great, thanks for the update. Guy, my SP20 finally shipped today and I won't receive it until Monday, December 1st. When can we expect compensation for the shipping delay?
