I think this head to head doesn't really matter now.

I like this version of marseille after the break a lot more they performed well in their first game winning with a huge score and performing well next they will face troyes one of the bottom teams but they sometimes show excelent performance like when they have beaten monaco so marseille team should be carefull especially against teams in danger of relegation, the odds for marseille win are good and i think that's what will happen.

After the break Marseille performance is surely much improved, and they are doing good job for having better rank as now Lens is at the second spot and after beating PSG now it's not easy for any team to challenge them because in next round all top teams are facing relatively weaker sides which mean we are not going to have any change.

So, things are now interested in league table with gape is narrow between PSG and Lens with Marseille is also improving performance which is giving them good chance for going near the top two teams Rennes and Monaco are also in chase which will create good entertainment for the fans here in this match most chances Marseille will keep their momentum and not allow opponents for having any chance to give them challenge and steal any point.

This season is quite interesting in terms of the positions except the lead. Lens are fighting with PSG for the league title as the gap has become only four points after PSG's loss against Lens recently. PSG would still dominate the season at some point of course. But for now I'm just enjoying the "title race". Lens have done a good job so far.

I wonder how long Lens can maintain their performance. I don't doubt their ambition but it feels like they can't maintain this until the end of the season. Lille are a good example but Lens might not manage to do a similar work.

i think Strasbourg know a thing or two about Lens and can be dangerous against them, i would doubt Lens beating Strasbourg easily, what i'm considering in this match is both teams to score, i find it really fair since Strasbourg always crack the code of Lens defense.

In the French Cup matches, I saw Ligue 1 teams losing vs weaker team in Ligue 2 or maybe worse

Marseille player on a permanent basis.  I think he's a formidable signing, he's a great player and he's proven it time and time again.  I'm sure that in Marseille they will be able to make good use of his skills.  Among other things, he is a young player and can still improve.

I know cups are never quite the same situation as league games because of different stakes, but usually in France you feel that the favorites are way too strong for lower leagues (and yet upsets happen all the time).

We always have the feeling that a team playing in a superior league is always better than a team playing in a lower one until we see the opposite result happening. It will be more shocking when a top team in the first league is defeated by unknown one!

It's not really a fight for the top spot if you ask me, it's a temporary closeness and that's it. Lens is not that much better than everyone else, whereas PSG is miles better, they are seriously not even in the same category. Which means that eventually we are going to end up seeing a lot bigger point differences, it's not going to be even close.

All in all it's a reality that PSG is just too good, yeah they had a few weeks when they were tired or they didn't had everyone, but they are now ready and they are going to beat everyone and get that point difference to a higher level. That's just how it is, we have to end up accepting the situation if we want to be fair.
