It seems quite appropriate now to say whether Nice have started to falter towards the middle of this season.
After a very good start to the season at the moment Nice's changes are quite pronounced in terms of performance. Their goal productivity is slowly disappearing and their attacking line is starting to show cracks.
Yesterday's match also showed how their condition has changed. They are still very good in terms of domination, it's just that their finishing is still very lacking and losing to Nantes yesterday makes me feel they will experience a change in situation now if they cannot overcome their current consistency.

Nice are still good and after this round they are guaranteed to retain second position. The problem is that in Ligue 1 there is PSG and, as always, they came out on top. It is quite remarkable that just recently they were behind, and now their advantage is 4 points, which allows them to even lose and still remain in the lead. Overall, Nice is still doing well and it reminds us of Lens last season of course it's just that with the situation that happened in the last 5 matches they actually ran a little semi slightly decreased  and this cannot be allowed if indeed their hopes are the top 4 or hope in the top 2 (Champions League Zone).  Their points are getting further away from PSG now and dont forget that they are also still not safe from the pursuit of Monaco who are still sticking below.

How does it feel for an average club to hand Nice first defeats of the season.

It wouldn't be a surprise if in the end Nice lost to Nates, especially since in the last two meetings between these two teams last season the results were always draws. In this match, the first meeting of the season, in the end Nice was unable to maintain its consistency, which usually scores 1 goal in every match. Nice collapsed at Nantes headquarters, even though based on the course of the match Nice controlled 62% of ball possession.
In fact, Nantes had 2 big opportunities but unfortunately they were unable to add to the number of goals for their victory. In the end, Nice must accept that they won't get any points in this match. In the following week, it is not certain that Nice will be able to achieve positive results when they host the Reims match. and it is very likely that Nice will slowly experience a decline in performance.

In another match, Manaco won the match over Montpellier. Thus, at least Manaco is now only two points away from Nice.

I was very surprised when I found out that Gianluigi Donnarumma got a red card in the opening minutes and I still don't know the details of why he had to be sent off by the referee. I was surprised when the referee issued a red card in the 9th minute without even thinking. It was a very early problem for PSG to stay with 10 men on the field. Kylian Mbabbe scored a beautiful goal, as always, and with this goal, PSG took the lead 1-0 with 10 players.

PSG could keep the score very well with 10 player and they continued their search for goals without retreating to defense. He scored that relief goal in Vitinya, even though it was a little late, he gave his team a sigh of relief in extra time.

Lyon has tried their best, but luck is always not on their side. For some reason, even a single point was hard to come by for them at the moment. Ligue One matches today seems a bit interesting and filled with actions. The red card didn't pull any pressure on Lens because they got a red card injury time and there's absolutely no time for Lyon to mount pressure on the home side. The mentality of these players for actually matter in league matches, they are incharge of their perspective team's performance and its their ultimate priority to targets for winning scores this season. Lens won at the end of the game. It's 3-2 on the scoresheet after Olympique Lyonnias did their best to levelled the scores but got denied this season.

It looks like Nice is making life easier to Paris to win this season also in the French Ligue 1 as they are losing against Nantes in the first half of the game and I extremely highly doubt they will be able to fight back to get at least a draw in the second half as I totally don't expect them to have a chance to win the game,they are not playing well at all.This is all playing to the advantage of PSG as they just need to win their game and after seeing what they did to Newcastle in Champions League game in term of dominance I doubt they will have much problems winning the game no matter who they are playing against here in the Ligue 1.

It’s not always easy for them playing Nantes because they were not be able to get a win in their last three matches against them, therefore I am not surprised as Nantes take the lead because they are playing at home.
Nice is making effort in the match because the are trying to dominate the game in the first half, I believe the coach will make some amendments in this coming second half to see if it can help the team at least a draw or if the score early in the second half they might get a win in the match because it is not too late.

They now had three chances in less than one minute and 2 of them denied by the Nantes goalkeeper,the more time passes the more it will be very difficult for them to win anything in this game.They are playing better in this second half though as they are dominating it completely yet they miss creating fast chances,beside those three chances in these 20 minutes they have just kept ball possession and not created more and more chances who can hope to convert them.They are also suffering very dangerous counter attacks so yes most likely this is the end of their title campaign here,they can't,simply can't match the PSG consistency.

Well, that was differently a very unexpected result. I did not think that Nice was actually going to lose. After all, they were facing a team that was not very strong. They also lost a few matches one after another. I thought Nice was going to be able to win this match and stay in competition with PSG for the league title. I wouldn't be surprised if PSG were a few points behind NIce a few weeks ago, but now Nice are four points behind PSG. I even want to say that at the end of the season PSG will get the Ligue 1 trophy with a big difference in points from second place. This is because the PSG squad is very complete and luxurious compared to other teams in Ligue 1, it could be said that the squad is very different. It can be concluded that PSG in Ligue 1 has no competitors in winning the trophy.

I agree that PSG does have a different level in league 1, it's the same as in the bundes league before, which is Bayern Munich, there is no one worth paying attention to in the bundes league other than Bayern Munich, but it seems that this season is a little hotter because the competition is getting tougher in the bundes league.

The single goal in the 25th minute by Florent as a sign of victory for Nantes, I also noticed that Nice was still fairly good in their game, but I agree that Nice declined a little towards the middle of the league, their defense was still fairly strong, but their attackers seemed lost, basically in yesterday's match Nantes knew who they could hold so that Nice could not produce goals.

I agree with what you say because PSG is actually the only team that is better than the other teams in Ligue 1. Nice has had an extraordinary job this season, it can be seen from their goals conceded per game ratio. The goals per game ratio is quite low for a team trying to fight for the title with PSG, but of course getting points is much more important than the number of goals scored.

So currently PSG has created a safe points gap to be at the top of the standings. Nice, Monaco and Lille have a gap of 4, 6 and 7 points with PSG, so I think PSG is pretty safe at the top. Of course, it's still possible to expect PSG to drop points in the remainder of the season, but PSG are the favorites to win the title and dominate it every season.

These two teams showed two different sides, even though previously Lens had also slumped at the start of the season. but gradually, Pranck Heise was able to bring his team up slowly. even though their Champions League performance is very messy, it is natural that this team is not strengthened by players who have above average quality in the squad.

 This match Lens were really the better side as they show composure even while they were a goal down but Lyon who played sent se signals to the fans that the club is in real mess and would stagger a lot this season. Well I believe this new head would have the perfect key to unlock this team’s potential and get them on track.

Because otherwise I can't imagine what the point difference between the team right above the relegation area and Lyon would have been by now. But still there is no hope for them about staying in the Ligue 1 as long as they continue to play like this.  

The only way to win a game for them so far was to beat a team playing with 10 players. That is Rennes I'm talking about. Winning only once in 13 games is just horrible.

I wonder what the board are thinking about this situation. The club has been clearly managed too badly for a long while.

It's not easy to have your goalkeeper out in the very early minutes of the game... I wonder why La Havre couldn't find a goal when the goal was empty since PSG goalkeeper got red carded and they had nobody at the goal.... Lol, jokes aside I really thought for a moment that PSG would have harder time because it's not easy to go 80+ minutes with just 10 people, they may have easily lost this game and nobody would question why, it's obvious because of the early red card.

It's also a shame for whoever was the one that got out so the new goalkeeper could go in, your goalkeeper is the one that got red carded and now you have to get benched lol. It was much closer game then what the score shows, they are definitely having trouble with it and I saw a game that was basically played at both sides and very minimum at midfield, both teams attacked a lot, some successful some terrible attacks but the ball was around both fields all game long without a doubt.

There is no doubt about PSG strength in Ligue 1 where they are the best compared to other teams. Even though Nice this season is able to provide big changes for their progress, they will suffer the same fate as Monaco who will find it difficult to be consistent until the end of the season. This season PSG can be said to have overhauled their team on a large scale to strengthen their squad, PSG is filled with new faces but they are still quite strong and it will even be difficult for Nice to break Psg dominance. Dembele has really integrated into PSG game and Ramos is also increasingly active in scoring goals and their superstar Mbappe has again found his best qualities. I am sure that with the quality of players that Psg has, it will be quite easy for them to secure the title this season.

Nice and PSG secured different results in the matches they played this week where PSG secured 3 points while Nice lost 3 points. On the other hand, Lens are starting to recover in improving their progress where 3 consecutive wins make them closer to returning to the top 4, they are only 4 points behind the team that is ranked in the top 4.

Lyon is sitting on last place with 7 points in 13 games and by the way this team looks , I won't be surprised if they will relegate into Ligue 2. This club is quite big not just in France but in Europe as well because a few years ago they played an UCL semi-finals and they were so close to reach finals that year and after that , they went from worse to worse. Maybe they will bring a few big transfers this winter but besides that even if they change the coach , I doubt this team can achieve more than avoiding relegation spots...

A few years ago Lyon was a team they were always racing for the title in the French League and they were a top team with good investment but I don't know what happened is this team so they got these results. Lyon's fall started in the last season and they even got only 7 points in the all games they had so far this season which is terrible for them.

Paris Saint Germain are the strongest club here, they have everything that is superior to other clubs. It would be very strange if they couldn't defend their title, however I don't think there is a club that can match Paris Siant Germain in LIgue 1, because they have a lot of money. They need expensive players even though they will be able to buy them, as happened last season, where they are inhabited by star players, such as Messi, Neymar and their young star Mbappe. This is something that other clubs can't do, so it makes a huge difference in quality.

You could say that, even though now only Mbappe is their star. However, gradually this team will find their rhythm and style of play. In this January transfer window, perhaps Enrique will release several of his players who are rarely given the opportunity to play. for example, Hugo Ekitike, Nuno Mendez even though he is still injured, Kimpembe, or other players which gives them space to bring in other players to complement Enrique's squad.
Apart from that, Enriqeu actually has players who are suitable as center forwards or in rotation according to the team's needs. Unfortunately, Asensio has to be absent until now. We can refer to when Asensio was trusted to be the center forward, he was able to prove it with his experience and stability.
