I have a problem with Brightons valuation of their players, Chelsea have been well interested in sealing this deal, but Brighton were asking for too much money imo, i don't think Caicedo is worth the amount that Brighton were asking for him. Liverpool are in desperate need of midfielders and that's prolly why they didn't mind hijacking this deal from Chelsea, but £110m for Moises Caicedo is just absolutely insane.

Having said that, i don't mind if Chelsea missed out on this player, i think they should go after more affordable options, but with the way the transfer market is going, sooner rather than later, there'd be no decent player who will be affordable.

Oh my God, football is a very profitable business. Brighton signed the Ecuador international for £4.5m from Independiente del Valle in 2021. Now he is moving for a whopping £111m. Moises Caicedo was a prime target of both Chelsea and Bayern Munich with the latter willing to pay £90m and the former £100m. But Chelsea has not lost hope of signing the midfielder. Brighton has accepted Liverpool's offer but they are still open for higher bids. Chelsea can still outsmart Liverpool if they make a higher bid and make the player insist that he wants to move to Stamford Bridge. But this might be a difficult task because the player has been scheduled for medicals today.

With the profit from this deal, Brighton will be able to buy less expensive quality players that can improve the team. These players will be groomed for big money spenders. Roberto De Zerbi will have to adopt the club's strategy of going to the remote parts of the world to identify talents that can be nurtured to become world-class players.

Even if I’m pretty confident of a Manchester City win in the first game of the new season against Burnley, I like to keep an open mind. Burnley may surprise us all and come out with a win or perhaps hold Man City to a draw. Burnley may not be a strong team and compared to Man City, they’re seen as no challenge at all. But there are times where the seemingly lower team goes ahead to win the game against a tougher opponent. We could perhaps see that in this game.
I’m hoping to see Burnley play good football after having worked hard and later being promoted to the EPL. Even if they lose their first game to City, they’re still lots of games to play and prove themselves.

Statistically, we can't deny that Man City is superior in every way and that is a fact. But I also don't rule out that Burnley is a club trying to become a defensive club after they struggled to get into the Premier League. Even though the final result Burnley had to lose in the match later, the most important thing is that they have gained a lot of experience to be able to make their debut in the Premier League again against this year's champion club. So in my opinion it doesn't matter if Burnley loses badly, because what they have to make an important point is to be motivated that competing in the Premier League is not easy.

If we talk about bets, then I generally crossed out the Chelsea-Liverpool game for myself. I have no idea how the game can end and even BTTS or total looks incomprehensible. It is really unbelievable that Liverpool intervened in the last minute for Caicedo by paying 10 more million pounds.    Chelsea must be devastated after Brighton accepted Liverpool's offer as final. Brighton were going to accept the highest offer until the end of the day as far as I have read.

So Chelsea will need to find a new alternative to Caicedo from now on. After this news I'm curious about whether Chelsea can still go for Lavia. Because Liverpool have already agreed with Caicedo who is another defensive midfielder. They might drop their interest in Lavia maybe.

Footballer play for the money, nothing matters, Chelsea were Romancing with Caicedo transfer , they were not sure of him, they wanted him to be the last hope if the other players of their choice don't work. and Liverpool after losing two of their keys midfielders to the Saudi Arabic clubs, needed immediately replacement and Caicedo is the option available. Big lose to Chelsea and a big gain to Liverpool.

It was a hard blow as well as a test for Chelsea because they had neglected to throw away almost their entire main squad for money but apparently could not cover their need for players. Of course it is very annoying to target players at the end of the transfer season but Liverpool's movements are more agile in snatching Caicedo. Now I wonder what steps Chelsea will take to fill the void that should already be filled.

Probably all kinds of leagues are going to start in few days. Hope this time Liverpool and Arsenal teams will do great things in Champions League as well as Premier League and their performances will be as expected so that every match will be hard fought.

Of course Burnley are going to lose this game... I don't remember Man City losing to EPL newcomers... Especially since it's the first kick-off game of this season... And another factor for City's good game is that they lost in the Super Cup to Arsenal recently... Burnley will lose without a chance...

I think that Chelsea in this coming season would have a serious lapse in their defence line. If I were to compare between them and Liverpool, I would go with Liverpool having a better performance and would bet on them winning over Chelsea any day.
We haven't even talked about how Lukaku is making a way out and a new manager with a new strategy to please, else be fired!?

Manchester City are an important team and they have strengthened their defence by reinforcing Gvardiol. Still, I think Arsenal is a team that can compete with them. Both teams had competitive matches last year. Even though Arsenal haven't been successful in their last period, I can say that Manchester City is the most difficult opponent. I think we can see a rivalry between the two teams this year as well.

Arteta will definitely try to compete with Guardiola, but my guess is that Arsenal will have a downturn at some point. You see how Guardiola brings the team to the peak, at the beginning of the season they don't always have the best game, but towards the end of the season they reach their optimal form and I think this is a very correct strategy.

Arsenal, on the contrary, started the season very well, but in the most crucial period, at the end of the season, they lost all advantage, conceded too many goals and as a result lost the championship to City. If Arteta does not change anything and everything repeats again, then most likely the result will be the same.

I think Arteta gained significant experience from last year and will warn his players about this. Manchester City were lucky because last year Arsenal have been losing in the league with huge inconsistencies lately. I don't think we will follow the same scenario this year. I don't think there's anyone who's having any sort of doubt that Manchester City is going to win this game by a wide margin because the quality of players in this Manchester City squad can never be compared to that of Burnley.
Burnley who won the English championship last season we definitely want to prove a point but I think that they will be totally outclassed by Manchester City so I think it will be a direct win if anybody should want to stake his money on the game

Burnley did so well in the Championship last season and most of the thanks has to go to Vincent Kompany, he changed how Burnley play football and they became so impressive, but the EPL is a tougher stage for Burnley and Kompany, for example, they were on top of their game last season in the Championship, but when they met City in the Fa Cup, they were thrashed 6-0, that is the gulf in class between the two teams and the two leagues.

it looks like Liverpool were in a hurry with the transfer this time the offer from Chelsea made Liverpool have to increase their offer because Brighton will only sell the club with the highest bid, and this is too high in my opinion, the most benefiting from this player transfer is Brighton and this club together with West Ham is a club that has made big profits in the transfer market this season, and for some reason, I think many players are overvalued so that it will put a lot of pressure on these players if they don't live up to expectations, And Caicedo will become the player with the most expensive transfer fee this season beating Gvardiol who went to Manchester City from Leipzig Bundesliga.
With Liverpool's focus on buying midfielders in the current transfer market, proving that they will indeed bring in 3 or even 4 midfielders because Klopp saw that it was their weakness last season that made Liverpool fail to be in the top four last season.

I feel stupid that Liverpool and Chelsea are fighting for a player that has a single goal in his last 37 appearance, lets have small shame except perhaps this transfer is now personal between Chelsea and Liverpool. Caicedo is a coward, he is just repeating back step of Mbape between PSG and Real Madrid, and there is nothing special about this guy, maybe not to everypne but I can proudly say for me, he does'nt derserve to be worth $120 million, it is going to be fun at the end of the season if Liverpool or Chelsea didn't win the Premier League.

How can Caicedo be worth more than Declan Rice? Think about it, there is something that s wrong with this transfer and perhaps a review is needed for accepting Liverpool terms and booking for medicals only to change mind that it he already had a personal terms with Chelsea since May, that's red flag and who knows if Brighton is the one pumping the ideas into his head to raise the bar so they can make money since they haven't won something tangible in century.
