Indeed Mike Tyson is so ambitious and made me remember one of his interviews where he was asked who will he want to fight in the history if he will be given a chance, guess what he answered? It's Achilles, the Greek Warrior who was the brain and hero of the Trojan war. That's how ambitious he is and I don't think of any fighter or boxer who is more fit to answer that question. Tyson in his era is really one of the greatest and I do think that nobody would argue with that. Now, I think it's time to hang up his dreams because he already done enough, it's time to think of his health first and to take that wheelchair out before anything else.
Well, that's what he think and wants to fight since he's landed a question like that. I don't see anything ambitious with that since he probably have read a lot of things during the Trojan War and he's caught amazed by Achilles.

There could be other boxers that would say to answer if they're asked if they wanna fight against Goliath, they would answer it confidently with a yes.

As he's suffering right now physically and mentally, we just want the best for him and praying for his complete recovery.

The fight was also listed on bookies now with Paul Jake as the Favorite to win the match.
This fight created a new record for sold-out the tickets, so I think this is the ultimate match where is very waiting for fans. Of course, Jack Paul is the favorite to win, but he will face the former of UFC champion which I think is not easy to bet him on 1 or 2 rounds. so, maybe we will get surprised on the end of fight, so be careful in our bet.

I think there are fight that is being sanction for 10 rounds, specially young prospects like 10 fights or less. But as far as the gloves goes, I remember Manny loving the Cleto gloves or it is Reyes gloves, both weight but the difference is that one is a puncher gloves and then the others to protect the hands or something like that.

So I guess the boxing organizations really done everything to protect the fighters in a brutal knockout, but inevitable that they really punch so hard that it can damage their opponent for good.

Well, certainly the gloves thing is something additional, for us it is more exciting that they have light gloves, because the speed of the blows is much greater, and if we could talk about great things that would make boxing bigger and with more options to have emotions in the fans, if they change the gloves to be lighter I think it would attract more people, but the bad thing is that blows like that, it's like you say, would cause permanent damage to the person, however I know what that is, because in part when it comes to boxing those gloves are somewhat softer that they don't hurt, in Hapkido the gloves are softer, and I know that sometimes they do do some damage.
Fewer rounds for the beginners until they earned enough experience and ready for 10 and 12 rounds.

I saw it before, they weigh the boxers boxing gloves. So they are in the same weight. Cleto Reyes was very popular before. Muhammad Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Pacquiao and many Mexicans wear it because it is harder. But I don't see anymore boxers using Cleto Reyes. Many boxers now want to use gloves that can protect their hands more. Mayweather too wears gloves that can add protection to his fragile hands. Rival is what I can see most often, I think it is a new brand. Loma uses that Rival gloves.

That might do but that won't guarantee safety, researchers are still digging what to do to reduce the chances of these incidents. There are some overhauls in the industry way back 1980 and established a 10-round fight but as years goes by, it was again back to a 12-round fight.

Cleto Reyes from Mexico are quite famous in the early 2000-2010 because they said that it was so comfortable that boxers tend to forgot that they are wearing gloves but now, boxers tend to choose Grant gloves and Everlast more than Cleto as it gives both protection from their knuckles and it also weigh lighter.

Well I'm not, but in my personal opinion, I've always liked the old school style, 12 rounds and I really don't care much about the gloves, for me the gloves are details that are used to protect , I don't think it's bad that they are to protect the faces of the boxers, there are still times when they get quite injured, I consider that a blow like the ones a boxer gives could harm anyone, even among themselves, it would be more bloody, and I think that so many bruises their faces would get as if they had a botox treatment that would turn out very badly, they would have to cut their faces to be able to see (something like what happened in the Rocky movies) I don't think it's the idea either.

Interesting fight between Paul and Silva, if I remember it right Silva is already pursuing his career into boxing after UFC, he have the fundamentals and with his speed I'm sure it will be tough for Paul to box him, though for sure there's a script here and we don't know what's the plan behind doors, just wanted to see talent and skills coming from Silva while watching and the rest will be part of the entertainment..
Well, we've been all suspicious when there's a match that involves the Paul brothers. We can't be sure what they're up to especially if the subject is all about being competitive.
After all, these are all matches that they've been making up and they're the ones making the contracts and agreements that would be favorable to them but beneficial to the chosen opponents like Silva and the others. The good thing here is that they're giving probably generous contracts to these fighters that they box.
It is like that, but there is a detail that not everyone knows very well, only those of us who have been in this sport, and that is that when you are in a sport like the UFC or in a sport like Hapkido or similar, it is always much easier in terms of to resistance, because to switch to boxing the change is very strong, first in technique and second that it is much more demanding, also when fighting against a boxer they are much faster and their blows are equivalent to as if they were hitting you with bricks, They have a lot of strength and if you're not very strong it's easy to get knocked out, that's why Silva may have hit you harder, however he knows what the sport is like and has a successful adoption, he may be very quick to learn .

Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson often stuns his fans with his out-of-the-blue one-liners. The veteran athlete was recently seen in a wheelchair in a frail condition. He was suffering from sciatica flare-up; a lower-back medical condition. Even though he recovered from his sickness, he went through a period where he had trouble walking and even used a walking stick to move around.
Mike Tyson might be suffering from the injury in the past, and might have caught up with him now that he's aging. Tyson is always training and engaging in tournaments inother to win titles and add to his collection. He did have better moment as champion, we know how he sustain crucial injury when he was still young as an ambitious fighter and he's fearless and ruthless in challenges. Mike is 56 years and seeing him in a wheelchair is totally devastating for a man like him, he's strong and he will definitely pass this terrific phase. The big question is, can he still get up strongly on his fit again?

Indeed Mike Tyson is so ambitious and made me remember one of his interviews where he was asked who will he want to fight in the history if he will be given a chance, guess what he answered? It's Achilles, the Greek Warrior who was the brain and hero of the Trojan war. That's how ambitious he is and I don't think of any fighter or boxer who is more fit to answer that question. Now, I think it's time to hang up his dreams because he already done enough, it's time to think of his health first and to take that wheelchair out before anything else.
Well, but what happens is that Tyson has a very advanced sciatic nerve, it's strange because I know that the sciatic nerve has a lot of treatment, what I imagine is that he must have associated hernias and that's what keeps him in the wheelchair, etnonces when saying that he is very good at wanting to face a being like that, yes, I do not doubt it, I thought he was going to say that Ali, but he himself recognized that Ali was better than him in an interview that he was there, then Also, in spite of everything, I think he knows very well the respect he gave Ali at that time, that speaks very well of him, about that commander who says, that is already closer to his morbidity.

The fight was sanctioned as a professional fight @ 187 lbs although yes, we don't know if there's hidden agenda under the table.

But I'm sure Silva won't be involved in such craps that's why I believed this fight will be seen as fair and square***.

The fight was also listed on bookies now with Paul Jake as the Favorite to win the match.

I haven't dared look at the odds for this fight but maybe later, but surely if many are in favor of Jake Paul then I think that they surely believe in the skill of Jake Paul to defeat Anderson Silva, and they surely admit that Jake Paul is a professional boxer now because they believed that Jake Paul would K.O. Silva, I really think it is absurd and also fair enough, back then Anderson have some professional fights that he looks good in it, so if Jake Paul really has the skill this could be a close fight and this fight is on the Professional fight categories not in the exhibition one,

Well the interviewer wants a different answer from him that is for sure, he maybe wants Tyson to pick strong guys that are available for him to fight, but Tyson just got a safe answer that he really wants, and because of that we will surely have different opinions about it, some will surely want a more valid answer that they want Mike Tyson to answer, while Mike Tyson is just honestly answered it blatantly not worrying anything, well it is really a playful answer,

Yes, usually with such interviews, they're trying to make some buzz through athletes like Tyson to have a match and flame it with other boxers. But his answer wasn't expected if he's into Achilles. Well, the good answer then for him.

It could also be that he have just got some attention from him and he's doing some series of book reading or watching documentaries about it, so, that's the answer that he's got. Nevertheless, I don't see it as something to think that he's a pushy boxer.

Not just a former UFC champ but also into this sport, Silva is enjoying switching into a boxing ring, and now after that sold out tickets
it is expected to see him performing to impress more fans.

We will see how both celebrity fighters will engage during the fight. What I mean by calling them celebrities is because they are not
really known as a pro fighter for this sport, but they gain interest from the fans.

Looking to see real toe-to-toe engagement, exchanges of real punches that brings the hype for this event.

Is there any Jake Paul's fan in this forum? Cheesy I think everyone is really hate him and want he to fight with a prime boxer, just like on his social medias. Maybe his fans is only his family, promoters and team since Paul can make huge amount money by just fighting a weak or unexperienced boxer.

I've said on the other thread if I will bet Paul, but the reason is not because I'm a Jake Paul fan, but we already know Paul is 99% will win.

Well, I really like his answer to the interviewer, well, if you are talking to Mike Tyson he would likely say straight-to-the-point things toward you or someone that is how Mike Tyson is, he will surely give you what he wants to say or he event will say the safest route to a question as possible, well I really like his wits back then but likely now I really wish he would be recovered back in his good shape,

and like I said for me Anderson Silva would likely be the closes fighter that could graze Jake Paul because just like Floyd Mayweather Jake Paul would like wants to just fight a retired MMA fighter or an MMA fighter, he would not dare to fight a professional boxer as his brother did with Mayweather, so I think Anderson Silva would be the closes one that has experience with boxing,

Not a fan either but you really have to give it to the Paul brothers on how they build up themselves in the last 2 years in the world of exhibition matches that now they have own boxing company and handling millions of dollars every fight.

And they owe it to their fans (I also doubt that they have one here because members here are purely for boxing), so in any case it's their fans that bring money to them.

This might interest us, boxing fans, hehehe,

Quote
Representatives for Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are inching toward a deal for the undefeated rivals to square off in a 136-pound fight at some point in January.

According to a report Monday night from Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, pay-per-view distribution is the significant obstacle that has prevented Davis and Garcia from finalizing their agreement.

https://www.boxingscene.com/report-davis-garcia-agree-framework-january-fight-ppv-distributor-sticking-point--169959

Again just like the other fight, the sticking point is the network that is going to air this fight. Davis in on Showtime, while Garcia is on ESPN.

I do hope that they can meet halfway so that this fight is going to be made and for sure this will be another blockbuster fight for early next year.

And that said experienced will give Jake Paul a tough fight, Silva is not just an entertainer but also a fighter who loves seeing his fans enjoy if there's nothing behind close doors(script) I also believe that Paul will suffer against Silva, though we don't know how they will be preparing for this fight and how they will come up inside the ring, it's safe to say that entertainment wise it can be fun without any scripted action and just a pure fight that we will see inside the ring.

I'll be on the side of Silva if I have some spare for this fight, risking as part of entertainment while waiting for the outcome of this fight.

This might interest us, boxing fans, hehehe,

It's all about money and if they can meet halfway, then the fight may proceed, we don't know yet if there's already a negotiation behind but for sure it will be announce or be leak around the web, let's wait for any update and see how things will be finalize.

The said fight has been in limbo for months but the fighters is keeping them alive through this social media accounts and if I'm not mistaken, there was a confrontation in a club wherein this two has some sort altercation. And then they go back to their twitter and fire back at each other.

I don't want to preempt everything, because this is a big fight even though they don't have any belts in the line. I said I don't want to preempt it's because of the Crawford vs Spence fight wherein as a fan we thought that it's already lock in until we find out that Crawford will have a fight this fight not name Crawford.

So let's see and wait till they settle down the sticking point on which network are going to televised this fight.

I am not. It's not hate, it's just that I don't like the way that he is the one choosing whom to fight. It's not the normal thing they do in boxing matches.
Yeah, he will win this one but I am not betting for him.
Most likely this fight is almost like a scripted one, like what they do in WWE. I hope I am wrong from that point of view.
Yet, it's still entertainment so I won't also pass at watching it. I am a fan of Anderson Silva so I want to see him fight again. That's all the reason I need.

Jake Paul and his brother are influencers and they have huge followers on Youtube and other social media apps. I think they are one of the most popular social media celebrities. And when you're popular and do something, your fans will follow and support you in any activities and sports you do. It's not like Jake Paul is a special kind of fighter, he is just a celebrity and most of his fans aren't fight fans. I don't even know a real fight fan interested in Jake Paul unless they get something in return like the boxing media, promoters, and networks.

It's like Justin Bieber and BTS doing an exhibition match. Of course, they will collect millions from PPV buys from their huge fan base. And this is the same reason why networks are willing to cater to them. This is business anyways.

I can't really take some risks on this fight, I have a bad feeling that this is a pure business and not an entertainment. Both boxers doesn't want to be defeated especially Jake Paul here who is currently building his career and seriously, Silva, wouldn't take defeat as well. I guess we will see it soon if what we heard is just a rumor or not.

If this fight, in the end, turns up in a draw I will surely not be watching any fight including the Paul Brothers, and even Anderson Silva for Approving something so disgraceful as that will surely boycott both matches, exhibition of not, I will surely not going to watch another fight anymore,

Sure? I bet it will change your mind if you'll know that Jake or Logan will face Mike Tyson next or the likes that doesn't really want rigged fights Grin just joking mate.

Anyway, you really have a point and I bet Jake Paul will be discouraged to have some future fights if this fight will end up in draw, he better defeat Silva if he still want to see himself fighting in the ring, collecting cash from the revenues and PPV buys generated. Aside from that, I heard the odds of draw is too tempting.

Like Bisping said, everybody wants to be a fighter/warrior and the Paul brothers have it in them to show the world. They wanted to prove the world they are not just youtubers riding the internet trends. Sure its disappointing to themselves as well if they are going to be known as clowns in boxing.

However the fight turns out, some people will still see it disheartening to see Paul exploits his way to make a living by fighting a legendary fighter whose way past his prime already.

Well, I really like his answer to the interviewer, well, if you are talking to Mike Tyson he would likely say straight-to-the-point things toward you or someone that is how Mike Tyson is, he will surely give you what he wants to say or he event will say the safest route to a question as possible, well I really like his wits back then but likely now I really wish he would be recovered back in his good shape,
He's got the stance to tell anything he wants to say.

And those interviews of him like that got what he's got on his mind at that point. So, straight questions and at the same time, straight and frank answers from him.

A good news about him, he's in a better condition these days.

I will be for Silva as well, I don't really want to say that Anderson Silva will be approving some of that Scripted fight if Logan Paul and Mayweather really prepared some entertainment value on it, but for me, I want to believe that Silva will not want that to happen and this is a fight that Jake Paul would likely regret, that is why I keep on saying this, because Silva is a boxer, and in the UFC he is likely boxing his opponent with a little mixed of kicks to set up the pace, but through and through he still likely been seen fighting as a boxer, so this could likely become ugly for Paul, but regarding his age, I saw him not doing much on the Israel Adesanya fight, so there might be some ring rust along the way, that I am afraid will show during the fight,

Sure? I bet it will change your mind if you'll know that Jake or Logan will face Mike Tyson next or the likes that doesn't really want rigged fights Grin just joking mate.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Well, I would obviously want to see a knockout but right now whoever will won at least it is not a draw, I would gladly accept it, for me there is really a potential for Jake Paul to be a professional boxer, but I am not including his brother Logan to this, only Jake, and likely Anderson Silva for me is a bigger fish because of his boxing experience, and fights, so this is surely a big obstacle that he has likely put himself so far in my opinion,

He's got the stance to tell anything he wants to say.

https://www.essentiallysports.com/boxing-news-a-month-after-his-paralyzing-illness-mike-tyson-gives-health-update/

Well for me there is nothing really wrong if he doesn't make any comment about it, or whoever he wants to faced next, but I am so glad that right now he is in a better condition likely I really want to see him in another podcast with Henry Cejudo, or maybe talking with Khabib Nurmagomedov,

Though we never know if they will negotiate again and maybe they will end up signing the contract, I'm referring to Crawford and Spence just to make it sure that I won't quote here.
