With this statement of Inoue, some of the Filipino boxing fans thinks that Inoue is avoiding Casimero because if he grinds for ranking after he goes up in weight division, there is a possibility for Inoue to fight Casimero. While going straight to a title fight will definitely evade a fight against Casimero.
Maybe he can be a champion but Casimero will always be his tough challenger and the time will come when he will have no choice but to fight him. If he will evade Casimero, not only the Filipino fans will think that he is afraid of him but the whole boxing community, so if he has the pride of a champion, he needs to take the challenge of Casimero.
I don't see any news or articles said if Inoue is avoiding to fight with Casimero, maybe it's just your speculation. Well Inoue will not scared with anyone, as long as he's not fight with an undisputed champion, he wouldn't avoid to fight with any boxer. Maybe Inoue think there's no reason to fight with a boxer who doesn't have any belt since it's wasting his time, it depends on each boxer if he want to "warm up" first or directly fight with a champion.
Definitely, it's only an speculation, but as a fan, we saw what happened, they were supposed to fight but due to the pandemic the fight was cancelled, but when there's no pandemic anymore, Inoue's camp did not make the fight happen, so you have to understand the frustration of the fans because they want to see a good fight and they think only Casimero can match Inoue in their division.

The fight was not cancelled if I'm not mistaken because there is no fight to be made in the first place.

What happened is that Casimero will have to defend his belt against Paul Butler in UK. But Casimero has medical issues on the first scheduled fight, and so it was rescheduled but was then caught by BBBoC of using sauna to shed off the extra weight on his. And that could be Casimero fighting Inoue instead of Butler. But it's all Casimero's fault for the fight not happening at least in the bantamweight division.

Is this correct? The Philippines currently holds no boxing championship at all? This is one of those things that seems completely unbelievable, now it possible this is just bad luck but it is still impressive, because the success of Pacquiao was so incredible that I am sure that many young people at Philippines have tried to emulate him, so I would guess there are a lot of people wanting to become professional boxers, so even if bad luck was involved there must be something else at work as well, and most likely a lack of support for the sport could be the most likely explanation for what it is happening.

Unfortunately, yes.

There's no Philippine boxer now that holds any title as both Donnie Nietes and Mark Magsayo fell short and lost by a way of decision on their respective opponents in the same month. Casimero on the other hand, is not a champion anymore after the incident before his bout with Paul Butler which eventually resulted into a stripping of title. Maybe soon, we can see another Philippine champion in the boxing ring that will carry the torch on behalf of the Filipino People

Not because of the reason that Inoue's camp or Bob Arum didn't materialize it. It is because the border of Japan was the last one to open and before the entire economy recovered, they announced once again that they need to close their borders for the inbound and outbound flights due to the new variant of the Covid-19 which leads to cancellations of fights and delays, including Inoue and Casimero's supposed fight. Eventually, both camps needed to find another foe which is Donaire for Inoue and Butler for Casimero.

It is a good news for Casimero fans.  The decision of  Korea Boxing Member commission have overturned the result to 2nd round knockout. According to the news, the KBM had seen that Akaho was greatly damage during the 2nd round and is unable to continue.

Quote
In a letter sent to GAB, the KBM said Akaho himself admitted that retiring from the match was not because of Casimero's wrong punch but because of the damage already inflicted on him especially after Casimero launched a barrage of punches after he was knocked down earlier in Round 2.

"Mr. Akaho admitted that [it] was a KO defeat. Yokohama Hikari Gym, where Akaho belongs to, also admitted that Mr. Akaho lost by KO. Mr. Akaho said that the damage he received was not due to the impact of the punch [that] hit the back of his head. He took a break and tried to fight again, but he gave up because he couldn't and admitted that it was his KO defeat. Both Mr. Casimero and Mr. Akaho acknowledge Casimero's KO victory," the letter reads.

Inoue - Fulton fight made possible after Naoya Inoue made WBO ‘Super Champion’ At 118, can become Stephen's Fulton mandatory at 122[1]

According to the article, the undisputed bantamweight champion  Naoya Inoue has been made the WBO "Super Champion".  This means that if ever Inoue goes up in weight he will be a mandatory challenger for WBC/WBO 122 lbs champion  Stephen Fulton.  So Inoue would be skipping the rank and and fight directly for a title fight against Fulton if he petitions the sanctioning body.

Inoue moving up will give way for the possible Maloney-Donaire fight for the vacant title belt.  It was stated that it was ordered by the commission that if ever Inoue vacate the title these two fighters will have a mandatory fight for the vacant world champion.

If I am not wrong with the record that I have seen online I think the Philippines is currently just Holding 1 belt, and that is non-other than Quadro Alas John Riel Casimero holding the WBO World Bantamweight Title that is why he badly needed a fight as long as he can still fight inside the ring, for me that Naoya Inoue fight is a risk for John Riel Casimero for now, I think he needs to get easy title fights for him to surely solidify him having multiple title belts,

I heard some news that Inoue won't be moving up in division unless it is a title fight against either Fulton or Akhmadaliev.  According to this YT video, Inoue will be staying in his current division ready to depend his title, which can possibly give way to one of the Filipino boxer Astrolabio to have a shot on the title fight since the Filipino become rank 3 on IBF after he defeats Nikolai Potapov via 6th round KO.

A possibility is still a possibility maybe he is afraid of John Riel Casimero or even mocking him at some point but for me, Naoya Inoue is a great threat to Casimero but the same goes for Inoue Casimero is a threat to him as well that is why it is a great fight to watch when it is fulfilled but for now, if John Riel Casimero can get the big fights or could ever get a fight that he can gain a belt then it is still a good thing so if they would fight that will be the 1 time that John Riel Casimero is the only one that makes a mark on Naoya Inoue boxing records, for me that will be the greatest achievement,

Is that from Wiki? If it is then they are not updated anymore.
All Bantamweight belt was being held by Naoya Inoue now. So what Silberman said might be real, the Philippines currently doesn't hold any boxing belts.
Well, that's frustrating as a Filipino. We are known to be good at the sport so maybe the government should be looking at supporting more boxers and giving them the right funds to be back taking more belts like how PacMan did it.
A possibility is still a possibility maybe he is afraid of John Riel Casimero or even mocking him at some point but for me, Naoya Inoue is a great threat to Casimero but the same goes for Inoue Casimero is a threat to him as well that is why it is a great fight to watch when it is fulfilled but for now, if John Riel Casimero can get the big fights or could ever get a fight that he can gain a belt then it is still a good thing so if they would fight that will be the 1 time that John Riel Casimero is the only one that makes a mark on Naoya Inoue boxing records, for me that will be the greatest achievement,
I heard differently from Inoue's side, he might really push it to go at a higher weight. I mean, he doesn't have anything to prove in his weight class anymore. Time to try if he can also dominate the next class.

Filipino boxers only hold minor titles not major one like world boxing champions.  So in terms of holding boxing titles, there is still some minors title, while on that sheet shown by YuginKadoya, that belt of Casimiro was stripped because he failed to fight Butler and was battled out by Sultan and Butler where Butler emerges victorious, and later on lost to Inoue making Inoue the undisputed champion of 118 lbs.

I heard differently from Inoue's side, he might really push it to go at a higher weight. I mean, he doesn't have anything to prove in his weight class anymore. Time to try if he can also dominate the next class.

I heard differently, Inoue is hesitant to move up the division unless he is about to fight Stephen Fulton or Murodjon Akhmadaliev.  I also watch a video that Inoue is ready to defend his titles if he failed to get a title match at 122 lbs since he said he will only move to 122 lbs if it is a title fight.  And now that Inoue is made WBO Super Champion, he became a mandatory challenger for Futon belt if he petition the fight to sanctioning body.  So it is highly likely that Inoue will move up in Division but I believe being super champion can make a boxer move up or down of weight division to challenge title holder.  So it is more likely that Inoue can have a fight on both 118 and 122 weight divisions challenging champions anytime he wanted.

edit: Philippines has a lone boxer that holds world title: Dave “The Doberman” Apolinario won the vacant IBO flyweight title last July 29, 2022

Nevertheless, Apolinario is currently the country’s lone current world boxing champion and he’s getting the full treatment.

He can do that as Alvarez already did it twice, he can comeback if he can maintain his weight but the great challenge for him is facing a much
tougher opponent coming from different division.

He doesn't have anything to prove in his current division and for sure fans will love seeing him exploring to the next level
it's only Arum who can control him since he is still under his promotions.

But for sure, as a fighter aside from the big money he will also desire to bring the best on him and collect more belts from
every different division levels.

Probably its the perks of being a unified champion, and if he is given a chance to fight for the belt in 122 lbs against Fulton or Akhmadaliev, then they should do it.

I'm not really sure but I read somewhere as well that Fulton wanted to move up to 126 lbs as he wants to jump to another weight class as his body can't take 122 lbs. So probably if he will have his last fight, then it's better to be against Inoue for the belt. Yes, I think Inoue will push himself to the limit, but I doubt that he can duplicate what Manny did during his prime years climbing up weight.

If I am not wrong with the record that I have seen online I think the Philippines is currently just Holding 1 belt, and that is non-other than Quadro Alas John Riel Casimero holding the WBO World Bantamweight Title that is why he badly needed a fight as long as he can still fight inside the ring, for me that Naoya Inoue fight is a risk for John Riel Casimero for now, I think he needs to get easy title fights for him to surely solidify him having multiple title belts,
Is that from Wiki?

Yeah, that's old list already, Inoue has lost his belt already, and it's sad that he lost it in the weighing scale.

No belts for Philippines unfortunately, but has good chance to get one if Donaire will win against Moloney for one of the vacant titles of Inoue. And there are a lot of up coming fighters from the Philppines in the bantamweight so most likely they could hold at least one belt in the future.

And hopefully, we can see Inoue vs Fulton next year.

Makes sense why Donaire stayed at the bantamweight after his defeat because he knows that Inoue will soon leave the division and that leaves him a chance to be a champion again. I just thought that he will go down at the super-fly because that is what he said, but I guess that already changed since he will be fighting against Maloney if the undisputed will vacate his belt.

And for Inoue, that's a hell of a leap he'll be doing if he will vacate his belts because he will be facing one of the champions at 122 lbs. already. I wonder if Bob Arum feels great about this too because I know that he would want Inoue to have a test first before a title fight at 122. Also, I have a question. What will happen if Inoue rejects this mandatory fight? He doesn't have any belts to be stripped of if he will do that because he will be renewed once he climbs. Just wondering.

Probably, although he shows intention to move down to 115 lbs, but that idea may have been scrapped already since Inoue is moving up and Donaire can stay at 118 lbs and still win at least one final belt before he will retire for good.

Nonito vs Moloney could be a good one, although we know that Nonito is aging and who knows, maybe past his prime. But I still think that he can win against Moloney.

And hopefully this can be finalized for next year. And for sure, we are all excited to see Nonito once again.

Same here, excited to once again see the Filipino Flash back on the ring as this could be his last dance before he hang up the gloves for good. Though he is now past his prime but a fight against anybody not named Inoue will be competitive in my opinion. Donaire vs Moloney is a good fight and i think it should happen at 118 lbs.

Meanwhile, the result of the fight between Casimero vs Akaho last December 3 was overturned from a "no contest" to a 2nd round KO for Casimero, so congrats once again to Team Quadro Alas.

I'm all in with Donaire if he will be given another shot with the title match, once Inoue move up and try his shot to another division, we don't know what his fate on that decision but with his skills and power the fighting capabilities is really high for him to win. I'm all in with Donaire if he will be given another shot with the title match, once Inoue move up and try his shot to another division, we don't know what his fate on that decision but with his skills and power the fighting capabilities is really high for him to win. Moving back with the vacant belt and mandatory fight, Donaire would be great if he will claim one title for the country since we don't have anything as of now and it will be a good hype for pinoy fighters to start chasing those belt back to our pride.
If Inoue moves away from the division then it should be relatively easy for Donaire to get another belt as the four of them will be vacant at the same time, however everything depends on Inoue, if for some reason he does not want to move at the moment or his promoter forbids this move then Donaire will have to think about what to do next, because as we know even if he is still a very good fighter the amount of money a boxer can charge on each one of his fights goes up significantly if he is holding a belt, and there is little doubt Donaire will want to maximize as much as he can the money he can earn as he is already 40 years old.

He doesn't have to prove anything at bantamweight, he has gotten all the belts, beaten all the champions and contender in this division.

So what else do you expect him to do but to move up in weight as there are no one stopping him, not even Bob will try to do that if Inoue wanted to go up to super bantamweight and take another belt.

So it's going to be free for all at bantamweight now with Donaire getting the inside track with at least eyeing one belt.

I don't think that Naoya needs some test in the 122 lbs, it's just 4 lbs away and from what we have seen on Casimero, he moves up in weight and bring his power against Akaho in the super bantamweight.

For sure Arum and Top Rank are very much confident that Inoue can past the litmus test at 122 lbs as well. Fulton will be a tough match, but then again, with his power and improved defense and movement, I think he can dethroned Fulton in a very tough but very competitive fight.
