Today it came out that Jamal Ben Sadik has turned in a positive doping test during his match last year against a Romanian fighter. And he is now suspended for more than 1 year. That also means that there will be no rematch in the match against Rico Verhoeven. He would have different opponents, but otherwise there was a possibility that Verhoeven and Saddik might face each other in December. A line can now finally be drawn through that. Really hard to see how the Beterbiev vs Bivol will turn out. Obviously, Beterbiev has the power, but Bivol has the footprint and the volume punching.

Yes, I do think that Yarde did very good in this fight and judges awarded him as he was ahead in the 2 cards. But it's just a matter on time before he will be caught by Beterbiev's power and that happen. Just very unfortunately that he was doing good until the 8th, and the right hand had a lot of power as you can see in his eyes that he felt that power.

If only Vargas continued to work on knocking out his opponents like he did when was still a prospect, he could move up as much as he can. But I guess fighters with less power have limits when moving up since their bigger opponents might not get scared of getting hit for a chance to unleash their own power punches. But I also think that Vargas can overcome Foster.

If Vargas wins, he might be mandated to face former 2 division champion, Oscar Valdez. Both Vargas and Valdez already said they want the fight. Well to put it mildly and without seeing statistics or predictions of any kind, much less without seeing any article alluding to this, I think this fight would be very interesting, but between the two I think the strongest is Bivol, he can make the difference, but Bivol has something very clear and it is his objective, I know he wants to be famous, he admits it himself and that is something that no one can take away from him, and seeing the discipline he has, he could do it, I don't know, but I do believe in the boxer's skills, hopefully they don't keep bothering him with the Russian stuff and he finally manages to be famous without being bothered by the country he comes from, hopefully they see the meaning of the sport and nothing else.
