since I am already playing fantasy, I will probably join competition if there is more than 10 participants, and that is highly likely, as it seems now
picking between one more league pool (Bundesliga) and PL fantasy, fantasy will take less time, since it is already part of the routine

and it will probably be Bundesliga as well, these pools are so addictive

Paid mine and Im ready to roll ! Played PL fantasy in the past, not good with it but yeah atleast its a small pool so chances should be high enough for me to get to top 5 ( well unless if you are all pretty good on it )

We have 7 as of now, 3 more to go ( should be 8 soon, Jayce said he is joining this ) and around a week before the league start.

Don't know about entry fee, you can probably agree something with icopress but you have to create your Fantasy team from beginning. Every week you skip will cost you about 60 points, and you will have no chance for prizes if you don't start from beginning.

For experienced fantasy player an hour is more than enough to set up first squad and then 5 minutes per week to keep it updated in most weeks.

Not really, you are not skipping weeks if you forget to tweak your team one week. Usually if you have good team it will cost you just few points. In fantasy you can actually make just one free transfer between weeks and change captain and maybe put some guy from the bench in first 11 depending on fixtures. So that means your team will get you points automatically, you just want to tweak it here and there to take care of injuries and fixture swings.

I have never played Fantasy League before. However after starting to do some research I have seen that it is a very popular game in the world. I hope that the number of participants can increase more. Because it is really very fun to build a squad in the game. I have prepared my squad for now but I might still make some changes on it. Unlike the majority, I don't think of making Haaland play as the forward for now. As far as I remember, he isn't expected to play for 90 minutes in the matches at the beginning of the season.

I spent a couple of hours on it earlier today, and I thought pick a team would pretty much easy for but it was far from it, I guess that's got to do with playing for something, I really couldn't come to a clear decision about both my choice of formation to start with a couple of other players, I'm glad I didn't wait for the final minute before trying to put a team together, it would have been a nightmare to say the least.

My team has been set for from the beginning but I am tinkering with it every couple of days. What can I say, I see friendly results and immediately have to tinker with some players I am not 100% set on.

I feel like this is the year when it is really easy to do good team. Prices have been so generous that I am spoilt for choices. It was always a compromise in past seasons and I had to put up with 4 or 5 players just cause I couldn't pay for what I really want. This time around I could make 3 teams probably if I could pick Trent and Salah in all of them

I don’t want to pay 13% of the entire budget for Salah.

I believe that is wrong way to look at it, it is all about points in the end and there is about 65% Salah ownership. Vast majority of those who have Salah will captain him in the first few feeks. That means if you go without him you risk falling behind and that is not easy to overcome in fantasy.

You have to have some other premium to captain then, do you trust Kane, Haaland, Son or De Bruyne more than Salah? That is all that matters.

Only position I have problem with this season is 3rd striker, I would prefer 4.5M one but they are all extremely bad and will not get any minutes. In the end I will just settle on one with low ownership. Don't want to loose money on bench filler position when people start to sell them.

I'd probably (currently do) have Salah in, but not having Salah early on might not be overly costly, it will depend on other premium member he'd rather have and its effect on his entire team plan/budget, because once you have Salah, you're likely not going to sub him out all season long regardless of his performance unless he gets injured or you need another premium member who have better sets of next couple of fixtures.

My major problem is from the midfield department, some relatively average midfielder seem rather too costly but I'd like to have one or two of them, since I've decided to do away with KDB.

There is al lot of cheap midfielders which should do great. Here is a few from top of my head.

Rashford is just 6.5M, he could make a mockery of that peize tag. Martinelli is 6M and should do well, Neto is 5.5 and by far best entry to Wolves attack. Baily is just 5M and should have a secure spot in Villa.

I found it very difficult to choose my midfielders and attackers, but I will try as soon as possible to choose a group before the start of the season. Not much time left. I guess I wouldn't bother with allocating a huge budget to Salah. I'll look for another player. Any hint?

If you're not going for Salah, you wouldn't want to waste the Liverpool players allocation, you know they'll be title contenders so it would only make sense to get all 3 players you can from Liverpool, I'd fancy Luis Diaz, Mane's gone so he should definitely secure the spot on the left wing for Liverpool, and he's 5m cheaper than Salah that'd give you some budgets to work with.

Only 8 entries with less than a week to go?    This is far below my most pessimistic expectations for this fantasy pool, given that we have three active Premier League topics with hundreds of posts weekly, but only eight guys have decided to put their money where their mouth is, with the majority waiting on freebies and shit.

If i had known we'd have this many entries, i would have proposed giving this pool a holler on Twitter earlier. There's a huge FPL community there, and maybe we could have persuaded some to register here and play....idk. Literally, nobody knows what SuperBru is, the global Prem League pool has just over 42k entries, while FPL is nearing 5mil teams at the moment....and besides fantasy leagues are just so much more fun imo.

Anyways, with the pre-season over i think i'm almost set on my team and formation but i'll wait for press conferences on Thursday and Friday before the deadline, to see if i can get some more info.
