I'm quite below in the leaderboard due to playing this game for the first time this year. However I think I will be one of the candidates for the championship if there is an FPL pool next season. This week I got very close to becoming the player of the week for the first time but I failed. I added Felix into my squad. I think he has a potential that can bring many points despite Chelsea's bad performance.

I'm playing for the second time (last time I did much worse than you). However, I clearly understand that I am already addicted to this game ... so I will do my best to launch a fantasy pool next year (and also try to increase the prize pool at least 4 times). 

Frankly the FPL pool is one of the most fun pools for me even though I'm very bad. Its number of participants is a lot around the world as well. Therefore I think there will be more participation in number next year. (Can the prize really go up to its 4 times? Wow, I'm excited already )

As the saying goes, "Sometimes, the only way out is going "All in"", I think I'm going to stop playing the conservative game for the time being at least until I'm to hold a decent position, I've been trying to make the most of just my single free transfers week in, week out and it's all turning for the worse, I just need to take some drastic measures, que sera sera.

I'm looking at the remaining fixtures, and it's going to get harder to predict managers with other tournaments commitments, so I believe it's better to be passive aggressive with my decision,  I'm totally shifting my focus away from having reasonable bench players that can fill blank fixtures and bank more on just the starters, and hopefully the transfers gets easier.

I honestly never expected to enjoy FPL this much for the first time; I entered the league as a complete dummy who registered in 2012 without knowing the rules; I thought I was going to win a PlayStation back then, played two GW, found myself in a million position, and gave up and thrashed the app. lol

You can see how I used all of my chips a few weeks into the season because I had no idea how they worked at the time; this season is a learning experience for me; I want to improve and be ready for the exciting season ahead.

4x times the initial prize Does this mean we'll have to pay twice the initial signup fees? Let's go!!! I wish you could increase the prize positions to the top 10 next season. 

might possibly hit wildcard after DGW 25 to build build another immortals for the rest of the season.

Certainly my first time and I do believe, I've missed a chance of being competitive and an amazing game. Like, I've seen the league played several times on the forum, at sme point while I was yet to understand, I tried commenting in a fantasy thread, I think that was with Sportsbet.io and had my comment deleted, lol... I understood a thing or 2 then and when given the opportunity because, I never really thought of this one, I jumped in.

Now, I understand a lot from the game now and have made some costly mistakes that I wish reverend stil. Some of you guys are real pros and aside from how you form your teams, there are tricks to GW that I keep noticing from good point earners. Next season, its going yo be real competitive out here for sure.

The top three guys are the silent killers, they don't share their thoughts here and are silently killing us behind the scenes haha, the most dangerous of them is Icopress, he throws in a one line question here gets what he wants and bang 90 points the next GW, man is tactically gifted and how hw climb up so consistency needs to be studied.

I really really like this game and honestly this is the only thread on the forum whose posts I re-read several times. 

Here are some of the tools I use.

• http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk/ - I check what is the demand for players and how the price can change.

• https://www.whoscored.com/ - I use this site to know which of the players will come out in the first team.

• https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/ - using this data it is easier for me to make predictions (all leagues)

As for my plan but I'm still undecided (I'm considering a strategy considering week 25 and the complexity of the games in the following weeks).

But it is likely that by the beginning of the 25th week my composition will look like this ...

I plan to trade De Bruyne for Salah. I understand that Man City have a very tempting Bournemouth game but Liverpool have a double week and great weeks 25 to 28. If I don't get rid of De Bruyne then unfortunately I can't get Salah. Btw .... Gakpo, the differential I really hope for and this may be my wrong decision, given that Jota and Firmino are gradually returning to the ranks. Although at the same time, receiving this player can bring me to the leader given that only 1% of managers own this player (not to mention his incredible stats for the national team and PSV). I would also like to mention Paterson... I won't have any additional costs if he is back in action by week 25, if not I will probably replace him with Joseph Gomez (in that case I will have 7-8 players playing twice) .

VD is a silent killer in many pools, he just signs up and quietly takes our money. Our leader is a fantasy expert and he was excellent in every fantasy season or game I played with him. Icopress is a suprise for me since I know he knew nothing when season started but it just shows that even as a beginner you can do well in this game with a bit of effort.

I am suffering from my initial team selection where I made two big mistakes. I thought Haaland will need time to start scoring for City and went with Kane. The other one was starting triple Liverpool with both Trent and Robbo in my team. Never fully recovered but i have been climbing steadily after I rectified those mistakes.

I have big hopes for next couple GW, people will have a lot of problems in them.

The first couple of weeks was where I got it all wrong too, I didn't stop captaining Salah and always TAA on my team too, and my ego was rather to big to for Toney and Mitrovic despite their consistent goal form, not to speak of my defensive blunders, at least Jose Sa was still giving some decent return, but Man City consistent tweaks and fail to notice the Newcastle and Arsenal defensive prowess but I'm sure there is still enough time to play catch up.

I remember having a lot of fun around this time last year, and it was also during that time i gained the most rank. I'm crossing my fingers that this is the case again

What's also interesting is that there will be legit multiple captaincy options almost every GW, not just Haaland...and that's kinda important.

More then half of the most transferred in players in last 20 days doesn't have a fixture in GW25 and GW28. Will be fun when those managers realize that. Free hit if they still have one will only cover one of those weeks and then comes resignation and giving up. I am not buying Kilman and Tarkowski because I am mesmerized with their performances they are there just to cover those weeks and cheap enough to be on the bench in normal and double game weeks.

Starting with this week, I could give Rashford another chance for captain band, he did deliver for me on TC.

Rashford have been pretty solid and very consistent since after the world cup break, and looks like a very viable captain choice, but playing Leicester is making me roll my eyes, and I'm not sure if Kane is still worth having right now, he's been very quite in all Tottenham recent games, and it looks like the only way he would get a goal is through a penalty, because he doesn't even put his opponents CBs in a tough situation trying to keep him out the box, I don't know of any more disorganized team than this Tottenham side, is seems Conte just put some random 11 players on the pitch with no clearer instructions or he just wants them to go figure it out themselves on the pitch.

I had a lot of good decisons this week and a couple of bad ones. Unfortunately all that wasn't good enough to get some serious points.
1. I brought in Tarkowski which proved great, he is my only player with retun this week
2. I kept White in my team since I was sure he will start before Tomiyasu and he did, but Arsenal conceeded 2 goals so no gain
3. I wanted to buy James but decided to wait, bullet doged here
4. I wanted to bring Saka but decided to wait, screwed this one
5. I benched Trippier and sold Botman since I expected problems against Liverpool but it did not help much since Trippier will still get in for Mahrez
6. I had Rashford as captain but changed to Haaland in last minute, this one is still on the fence but probably another bad one.

Todd Boehly needs to swallow his pride this time and get Potter fired if he wants a long term project. Potter is clearly not the man to sustain that project, but the English media will always urge you to trust the process. He has the resources, yet he is unable to use them. We struggle against the best team and also looked horrible against the weak side, which shows the current state of the team. The moment I learned about Southampton's winless streak, I just felt that Chelsea was going to be their first victory.


Liverpool has started picking points and they are getting better every day, so there is still a potential for them to finish in the top 4.

I really don't know what to say about the team, they look somewhat better, but not very convincing if you ask, and they could be worth a short for the double game week, but Salah still look so sharp or as dreadful as he used to be, TAA on the other hand was a very brilliant player and him doing more offensive work, rather than defensive duties made him look very special today.

I really can't figure the best way forward but a Liverpool triple isn't on the cards for just yet until, I'm sure the folks have an idea of what they're doing Newcastle could easily have score a couple of goals despite being a man down.

Trent and Robno were impressive but I'm not convinced and won't be considering either in my team, I may consider Salah for the GW 25 but I wasn't impressed with his performance yesterday and his goal stats in the last 5 games aren't encouraging either.

I thought Halaand would take advantage of Nottingham's injuries at the back and drop a bang, not sticking with Rashford as my captain will hurt me if he scores

Ya I made a big mistake with Haaland too -- and as usual forgot to look at my picks properly (I already selected the team early, best call was to take out Newcastle players just before the hammering they got to their defence).

Pope was actually my go to keeper early part, and for a time considered putting back in but of course GK's my least urgent part of the team that needs fixing.

Ticking along nicely as expected, kicking myself for not having the balls to stick with Rashford, would be a very nice 30 pointer from him. At least Fernandez delivered 12 points so that could help me a little bit to offset the deficit.

Too bad United doesn't have a game next week, really don't want to sell any of those players but some will have to go.
