nine-goal thriller and Salah is the worst player on the pitch, meanwhile, benchwarmer Firmino had 3 assists and 2 goals.

i have some money left so i might transfer out Salah and buy either KDB or Haaland (i'd to go with a 4-3-3 formation for haaland, not a fan tbh). Glad i didn't captain salah, my sincere condolences for those who did

I dont really expect you to not have Haaland on your draft yet, I thought that Haaland is pretty much a main necessity for the striker spot in fantasy

Mine was Luis Diaz. Had Moh Salah too but had to transfer him and got Kevin De Bruyne on my team and though it wasn't his best days, it was surely better than Moh Salah. It surprising still as to how Liverpool could win Bournemouth in an ass whipping 9 goals to nothing and Moh Salah couldn't get a goal like how!
My regrets anyway was letting Luiz Dias out of my team. I've had him for over 3 game weeks and finally decided to let loose due to low points in all 3 game weeks and he comes to score a brace with 13points tied to his name!

Exactly ! I didnt watch the game and when I checked it on flashscore around 50 minutes after it was started, I was happy that it was 6-0 then thought that surely Salah is going to be in one of it either assist or goal but nope he didnt lol. Its probably just another bad day for him though

Im glad that I decided to keep Van Djik on my draft. I was so close to take him out and removed him with perisic because he wasnt giving decent points for 3 weeks. Well glad I didnt and Van Djik got 12 points, it seems all that waiting finally paid off huh ( although I did ended up switching one of my other defenders to perisic though )

Salah blanking in a 9-0 win reminds me of Havertz last year not getting any attacking returns in a 7-0 win against the league's worst team and defense (Norwich) with Lukaku, Werner, and Pulisic all being injured for Chelsea. During that same gameweek, the "second-best" captaincy pick scored a hat-trick at Old Trafford...gotta love those point swings. Btw, hats off to the 500k managers who transferred out TAA prior to the BOU game.

I made only one transfer and it will probably end very bad for me, I changed Haaland for Kane. Guardiola was talking about resting Haaland, probably in next mid week game against NFO and I decided to switch him out early since Spurs have better fixture this week. We will see later how that worked out but I am not hopeful.

But we are still early, Fantasy is decided in last third of the season where we have all the double weeks and we know how teams are performing plus all the casual managers drop out and you don't have to rush transfers any more. My goal for first 2/3 of the season is to keep in striking distance of top positions in the leagues I am playing (less then 100 points is perfect, 200 is manageable, more than that very though), save all my chips and build squad value as much possible without compromising results too much.

I was actually asking Trofo in chat earlier if there were anyone who'd bought into United's resurgence and took in Rashford/Sancho. Guess I found one of them, haha! Hope you at least got Bruno in as he's the only United player I rated all season last year.

Btw, hats off to the 500k managers who transferred out TAA prior to the BOU game.  

Why would anyone do that? Haha. Bad reviews from United and Fulham? But he's always been bad defensively, he more than makes up for points surely in assists alone.

Yeah, honestly I looked at my position, effectively not playing the first 3 games of season and I'm not TOO bad. This week's gamble leaving Salah out was pretty cool, only I should have put Haaland in (opted for VVD and switching things around so one defender goal is not TOO bad).

When I am talking about chips, it is all chips except for wildcard. You have one of everything and then you have 2 wildcards, this season even 3 (one for first half, one during WC and one for second half). You use wildcard when you need it most, doesn't mater if it is GW2 or later on, you can't stack them, you lose it after designated time passes. Ideal would be maybe GW8 or GW9 since there are some fixture swings around that time but I used mine already as well.

I have updated my squad like this by using wildcard. Frankly, the reason why I preferred Kane over Haaland is related to the budget. Rashford is playing as forward due to Martial's being injured also. I think these weeks can be taken advantage of.

Don't be disappointed just yet and I think it'sore risky not getting getting premium players as, the tendency of coach switching for a second team choice is less compared to the usual second team or substitute players.
Again, Nottingham Forest haven't been so bad this season. They did put a lot of money in the transfer market and jlhave been getting results from it. They still are a threat and could pose some challenge to Manchester City but, I don't find them winning anyway.

Lol... perhaps it has something to do with his self esteem on the pitch lately which have been off a bit. A little aggressive too but, his surely not making any target shots not to speak of getting the balls.

Am right there with you guys. I thought the previous week 3 was going to be my worst as it was for most persons but this past week has proven to be way worse. I would have been better off with my formal team than what I've got now. Wasted my free transfers but, is now looking on a WC option for my team.

I would have been better off with my formal team than what I've got now. Wasted my free transfers but, is now looking on a WC option for my team.

I'm still resisting every urge to overhaul my team with the wild card chip, simply because I think it's smarter to make just two transfers every fortnight. And the players which most managers would have expected a lot from at the start off the season have seemingly began to pick up their game expectations, so I want to be sure that I'm not too hasty to rule them out.

If there is anything I'm regretting from this GW is changing my captain from Haaland to Salah, and I really don't know if I'd still be able to trust Salah completely this season, is it Mane's absence having a toll on him ?

Now that you mention this, I havent been thinking it that way. Good chances that Pep might rotate some out due to the next one being Nottingham Forest. I wasted my free transfer already, changing gundogan into Luiz Diaz as Gundogan isnt really starting on the team so good chances on the long term that he might not be picking up decent points imo

you know it's a tough week when even with Kane (20 pts) and TAA (17pts) you're still going down in the League tables 

They did put a lot of money in the transfer market and jlhave been getting results from it. They still are a threat and could pose some challenge to Manchester City but, I don't find them winning anyway.

Forest have a very exciting squad, but i still believe they're gonna get relagated. I'm getting Fulham vibes from a few seasons ago when they spent tons of money only to go back to the championship 6 months later

look at Liverpool's fixtures: Newcastle, could be a tough match, then the Merseryside derby, and then a road trip to Napoli, all of that in the span of a week... i had Luis Diaz on my fpl wishlist, but he'll get some rest next week for sure, question is when... maybe Firmino could be a good option, the brazilian proved Klopp he can count on him this season so maybe he'll get more minutes because of the fixture congestion

I see, I was clueless about this and I should have taken the fixture into account so this is where all those mediocre players from other mid table teams come in to play like Harisson because he probably will be playing most of the time in as the club needs him there unlike players on top clubs that might get subbed off for rotation or to preserve their stamina

It is Pep roulette and only reason why most seasoned managers avoid City attack. They are all great players but it just hurts so much seeing them on the bench. If someone is willing to give me good odds I am saying Haaland stays on the bench against NFO, Gundogan starts and has captain band and has at least one attacking return. I'll even spice it a bit extra for extra good odds and Say Alvarez starts and gets attacking return as well

Even though it will probably steer you away from the bet I proposed, here is a couple of statements that really make you afraid to own Haaland:
*Haaland when signing for City, "I have chosen City so that I don't have to play 2 matches per week which would have been expected at Real"
*Guardiola last week, "Haaland will not play 2 games per week"
*From now on City has 2 games per week, after this week CL starts and I expect Haaland to play CL until they secure knockout stages

Problem for attackers in FPL is that they get only 4 points for a goal and no points for clean sheet. Midfilders get 5 for goal and 1 point for clean sheet which makes them much more valuable. That is why Salah and De Bruyne are such good options.

Salah with 2 goals will outscore Firminho with 2 goals for a couple of points and will even get more bonus points on avarage.

Defenders get 6 points for goal and 4 points for clean sheet and that is why Trent should be in every FPL squad.

Everybody gets 3 points for assists. Now I was writing all this by memory so don't kill me if I am of by a point somewhere but I am quite sure it is all correct.
