Only 8 entries with less than a week to go?    This is far below my most pessimistic expectations for this fantasy pool, given that we have three active Premier League topics with hundreds of posts weekly, but only eight guys have decided to put their money where their mouth is, with the majority waiting on freebies and shit.

If i had known we'd have this many entries, i would have proposed giving this pool a holler on Twitter earlier. There's a huge FPL community there, and maybe we could have persuaded some to register here and play....idk. Literally, nobody knows what SuperBru is, the global Prem League pool has just over 42k entries, while FPL is nearing 5mil teams at the moment....and besides fantasy leagues are just so much more fun imo.

Anyways, with the pre-season over i think i'm almost set on my team and formation but i'll wait for press conferences on Thursday and Friday before the deadline, to see if i can get some more info.

With quite an amount being dropped for the pool already, I expected more people, it only shows how many people are interested in this sport, perhaps it's gambling they're somewhat against ?  The premier league prediction pool itself which less tricky and not  too time consuming is still a bit short of 50 users, but once the league start you can check how many unique users will have opinion about every single game, lol.

I've only used FPL original platform twice before or so, but I'm using this as an extra motivation to at least play until the end, I've actually never understood most of the chips, at least until this time around, I just use them whenever I remember to, I know FPL is rather more popular at least due it being the official one, but vast majority of the pools aren't paid ones (at least most that I've seen over the years), rather sponsored, but the turn ups are always indeed massive.

Hopefully, we'll get 2 more users to make it 10 right ?

I am against advertising on other networks. This is pool for bitcointalkers and nobody else. There is also one other thing to consider - paid leagues and prizes are no longer allowed on official site. As far as I understand it they have just put that paragraph to avoid some legal reprecusions that could come their way since they don't have gambling license. But if your league is high profile and wrong person sees that.... Could end up with banned accounts and deleted league.

I'm still thinking that we can be near 15 people. By the way I agree with Trofo. It is much more beautiful to have this league among us. By the way I have changed my opinion about Haaland after the Liverpool match. Even though he couldn't score he gave a signal by having many goal possesions that he would be able to make a good contribution this year.

Thanks mate! You are really doing a great work for arranging a fantasy football competition, especially FPL one! I believe there will be more people to join since it's much more fun than a normal prediction competitions.

I hope Ronaldo doesnt leave before his first matchday because he is... my captain lol. I know it's too early but hell just stay Ronaldo!

Damn, yesterday I spent about two hours to decide on the composition of my team.

I watched the first 5 rounds and formed the line-up on this basis. I'm also interested in what you think of Eriksen/Rashford and Bernardo/Mahrez/Foden.

Rashford is good pick for me, especially if Ronaldo leaves. If Ronaldo stays then I am not so sure, Martial could be shifted to that left wing and take some of his minutes.

Bernardo is not an option for me while De Bruyne is match fit, Foden/Mahrez are great picks but be prepared to suffer some benching here and there. Pep is by far the worst manager from Fantasy point of view.

I will definitely take someone from Manchester United if Ronaldo leaves before the first game of the season. I really like eriksen but I will probably wait until 3 in-game weeks with it. By the way, I changed the composition of the team again (for the 3rd time). This year is really a wide choice for a reasonable price.

I feel like you compromised your defense somewhat. Players like Trent, Robertson & Cancelo will probably outscore all midfielders with price of 8M or lower and they are cheaper.

I have all 3 in my squad but my midfield looks much worse than yours

it is all about knowing how Fantasy puts points for players
feels like they are taking into account small number of scoring position (as goals, assist, clean sheets and similar), looking at Sorare Opta scoring, where they are taking into account all tackles, entering with a ball into penalty area, heavy breathing (this is a joke), EPL Fantasy seems as light manager, and most players take best scorers, otherwise you can end-up with 0's

nevertheless, have some of icopress mid's and defenders from your team

I have a squad like this in my mind now for the first weeks. Frankly, I'm changing it constantly. Even though I didn't have even making Haaland play in my mind before, I still gave him a chance instead of Kane. However I can still make a change in the last moment. Jesus is the best forward who can be bought for 8 million.

The first thing I draw attention to is the difficulty of the first 5 in-game weeks, so this squad will probably stay. I reconsidered my attitude towards the goalkeeper of Liverpool and by choosing Mendy I saved a little bit which allowed me to free up some funds to buy Bernardo Silva (unfortunately I don't know how I can find another 1 million to change him to Mahrez).

I changed a few things in defense and introduced James, Walker, Coady into the main team. I really think that the points lead between those defenders you mentioned will be insignificant, +  save 4.5 million. Also, I have not decided yet who will play instead of Martinelli, I'm thinking about Guimaraes, SR or Harrison.

If I were you, I would be very afraid when Liverpool plays. I am quite sure 90% of serius managers will have 3 Liverpool players, Salah and Trent plus one more, usually Robertson or Dias.

Liverpool is much better then City players, just cause of rotations. You can consider Grealish instead of Silva. Was nailed in friendlies, but now Foden is back so...

Martinelli is better asset for me than all those other players you mentioned and he had phenomal presason and Arsenal has arguably best fixtures. Why would you change him?

Bailey is great, should be nailed, had great pre season and they are playing Bournemouth in first game, a team that just entered the league and has only 2 availble centre backs. Mouthinho is not really someone that gets you points I would avoid him.

Your team is very midfielder centered, that is poor balance and you will need a lot of transfers to being in premium striker or defender. My advice is to ditch bernardo for somthing really cheap, like Bailey and invest that money in defense or attack.

I'm seeing some impressive decisions so far here, I'm still quite a few drafts away from my final team, but I'm considering taking a calculated early risk if it goes my way then good, if not I just might have to use one of my chips very early and especially with some prospective transfer looking to be completed. I'll be having just one or two premium players, Salah is locked, still can't decide between Haaland and Kane, if Haaland is assured and fit, I'll be going with him, but if not I'll have to stick with Kane because he's going to play every minutes so far he's fit.

will polish my team tomorrow, but with Liverpool against Fulham in first round, few players from Liverpool is almost a must

thinking about Arsenal, showdowns against Chelsea and Sevilla could see full of self-esteam before opening match, Palace could go down with several goals easily
