I guess it's a fresh start, but it's a big advantage for managers with active chips since it's almost half the season, it could have been a lot of fun to join, but I have to pass on this one because the rules aren't clear enough. I'm looking forward to GW17; if I had $0.6 cents more to spend, I could get the perfect team . So far, I'm content with what I've got

I am not sure how it could be more clear than it is. Pay 2 mBTC to join and winner takes all. League starts from GW 17. Really nothing more to it. Everybody has free transfers now and 1 wildcard. You really think Tripple captain and free hit are that big of advantage? If you do, feel free to create new nick in fantasy and join with that one. We still have a lot of GW to play trough and 2 chips will not be a deciding factor.

If it is possible to form a new team, I will most likely join; will we all form a new team or will it be by choice? Is the grand prize going to be the sum of the entry fees? or are we hoping for some sort of magical money from somewhere else? Well, it's a few days before Christmas, and payment may be delayed slightly; if that's okay with you, count me in.. hey bro can we do this now? @buwaytress

@Trofo please pm the code to league, I'm in, I'll not be creating a new team and I'll send the entry before the end of the first of January, I'm sure buwaytress and a couple of guys from the original pool should fancy this too.

@igehhh while you think creating a new team gives you whatever edge you have in your mind, you should also remember that you're still getting your 100m budget and the player prizes wouldn't be reduced because you're starting a fresh team, I'm looking forward to see how you wish to go around that 100m threshold, with the price of the most sought players have significantly increased.

I forgot about that part I guess there isn't a real second chance, sort of similar how real life works. Every decision has consequences. Your call, I am not going to try and convince you that chips aren't that important since you already have your mind set about that. Best case scenario Tripple Cap and Bench boost get you maybe 20 points more each and very often simply fail. They can get you a single GW win easy enough but even when looked across 10 GW time that difference is easy made up with some good choices.

i will skip new league, not that I am in good position in this league, but FPL fantasy seems as not my staff really, and I am more active on Sorare, so will be difficult to manage all accounts

nevertheless, will keep running my current team, that needs improvement, and they are due before Monday, this week passed real quick and didn't started at all

I didn't really have much time to read, but if you need support, count me in, 2mbtc is what I probably waste on Liverpool on a single ill-advised live bet, and I have multiple ill-advised bets during a game if I'm lucky enough to watch, so of course!

I will give a warning that I might likely drop out again, for some reason life finds a way to have no time for things like FPL.

Don't look at this as a league, it is more of a side bet with couple of guys from forum. It is just handled in a more official way trough FPL site and second chance league.

I'm not sure if this is @morvillz7z sort of thing, as I've never seen him join a side pool/ bet before, and but I think @tomahawk9 could be interested, or maybe some other folks, who might have just missed your initial post, I don't suppose we are derailing this thread right ? since it's still all about the FPL.

I think I have my final draft set already and I'm only waiting for some deadline updates and final decision, while my team idea have already been altered due to a couple of minor injuries, which I literally would have lived with since most of them are just minor and would be back for the next game week, but I'm trying have my team compete for the Betnomi prize for the round and I could just use my free transfer and a 3-6 points hit to get my team back to my initial desired idea ahead of GW18.

yeah I just did and I could not get a decent team in fact my current team is even better than the new one I created, I think I would have to pass this one, the turn up is poor if we had many member participating it would have been a lot of fun playing but having you and trofo to contest with is already lost bet for me, both of you are doing well in the main pool I'm not sure the risk of facing the two of you is worth it. I'll just have to concentrate on the main pool's remaining fixtures.

It's better not to disclose my moves as we're all in a competition, but just so you know, I would not be playing my triple captain chip or any chip at all, not for this game week, there are many interest fixtures for the week that suggest I should triple my captain, but I'm not.

It's fine that you are going to pass on this one, but if you're going to focus on your current one, isn't that supposedly trying to kill two stones with one bird, if you lose the motivation to keep up with the main pool, the side pool with a lesser participant will still be worth playing until the very end, imo.

I can see why FPL did it though, a large portion of their fan base stops playing the game during and after the winter holidays. If not for else, all those multi-accounts (aka cheaters) now get x2 the chance of winning weekly prizes. Lol

Anyways, tomorrow can't come soon enough! After a few drafts, i can say my team is almost set, i just need to decide between two midfielders for the last open spot...

Yeah, I understand your point, but believe me, it would be boring if we only had three participants, and knowing that the other two are already ahead of me, it's like a lost game before it even started, I wish Trofo had put up this idea earlier, it would have clicked well.

The second chance was intended to save people like me; my team was in disarray prior to the World Cup, and I would have been out of the game if the second chance had not been granted. It would have been dope if they had also restored our used chips.

Second chance league is intended for those that already lost any real chances for paid positions in whatever mini league they are participating. I am still aspiring to get to the top of my mini leagues but I wanted a small side bet with a couple of people to make it more interesting in case it does not work out as I planned.

Last night, I thought I'd go and do everything before waking up, but lack of sleep and stomach being filled up to my throat meant that I put it off till today. Ended up waking up late and rushing to do everything else, thought I'd make it back in time but Spurs game started already.

Jesus was still in my team (haha) so he's now out and apparently TAA also ill, but I'll take my chances.

Second chance is cool, I need to sharpen my FPL prowess and it's a perfect chance to see if I can manage THIS time around! Still hoping to make it back in time to see second game, looks like Brentford is putting on some kinda show but man I feel so football starved!

I have three Newcastle players in my official fantasy squad and I'm happy with the points they've got for me.

Just when i let go of Salah and VVD, they delivered a masterclass. Darwin was that one player who could have made the difference for me because his ownership is low compared to other attacking options but he decided to be what he is known for, I had two days looking for Darwin alternatives and still end up with him because I had a little faith in him, now I'm regretting not going for Kane/Martial when I had the chance. To make matters worse, Kulusevski and Darwin were denied assists; how were those assists not given to them?

I wonder what must be going through the mind of Manchester United fans right since they spent the better part of the summer chasing this player, while Liverpool signed him without even waiting for the transfer window to be officially opened, the heart wants what it wants right ?

I thought I was having a bad day with owning Darwin, because having Kane would be downgrading from Cancelo to a cheaper option from Man City, and I don't intend to own any Arsenal player until close to their double GW, but then risks are not often equal to rewards. So I decided to imagine myself having Mitrovic with 15 points on the bench while having Nunez and Kulu in starting line up, damn! I believed while I didn't go Mitrovic was due to the uncertainty surrounding but If I were to have taking the risk with him, I'll surely have him on, and auto subbed out incase he misses out, but definitely we'll never know.

EDIT: I think Gakpo would cost no less than Anthony and no more than Kulusevski, that's between 7.5 -  8M.

I am more interested if he will be classified as forward or midfielder. I am expecting a price in range 8M-9M, something similar to what Diez and Nunez got.

I got Nunez in my team and my reasoning before yesterday was, he will score one of the plethora of chances that fall his way. Now after the game I am thinking srew that incompetent player, he wouldn't score if they played 2 more hours. Should have kept it simple and taken Mitrović

Definitely a midfielder, imo. Both Diaz and Jota are supposed to have lengthy spell on the sideline so I think Gakpo is going to fill a lot of spaces for Klopp's idea, a perfect AM and also a left winger, so it makes perfect.

I'd rather see Klopp go for a typical CM as well, and Nunez will still yield a good result it's just a matter of time imo.
