Don't worry at the end of the season, I will add to your total number of points as many points as the pool member who is in last place at the end of the first game week will score. (32 point / min GW1).

If you want to keep everyone interested add one smallest prize for highest weekly score. That will actually give somewhat unfair advantage to the people that decided to drop out. It will be PITA to check who won it though. Now that I am writing it, maybe do it for highest monthly score, that is easy to check and doesn't give unfair advantage to someone who does not care about minus points from transfers.

I've been expecting this all along. I knew he'd flop in his first game because the fans' expectations got to him; he was trying to be relevant for the entire first half, running too much behind the ball, trying to be the main man, but it backfired on him, and he only got 2 points. BTW, I'm still at zero points because I don't have a single player from either team on my GW1.

I'm not buying the G. Jesus hype; he might as well flop in his first game and disappoint 73% of the players. Lol I'm not tweaking to his preseason performance.

So .. addition to the rules ... whoever scores the most points in a particular round can qualify for a free bet (40$).

So everyone only got 2 points from him, and I'm glad I was part of the 23% who didn't believe the hype, just because he scored 11 goals in 5 games against farmers in preseason everyone went over the moon and started twerking for him.

It might seem like he flopped because he didn't get to come up with more than 2 points but, he didn't exactly flopped. In fact, he played good football if I'm to be true to myself just that, he was more about crating chances as opposed to scoring the goals himself which is so not what we exactly want on our team but it would have helped should he have succeeded in a few. The fan pressure was there and the Crystal Palace players was so on him, not given him much of that space to express himself but, he tried anyway. Like, he created that big chance for Martin Odegaard but the guy was still looking to assist rather than score.

Anyway, I still manage to get some pints as I've got a few Arsenal players on the team.

If you added Zinchenko to your team while he was still with City (or around the time he changed teams and before FPL changed his status/new team), your team may have ended up with four players from the same team in GW1.

He was decent though last season and with him moving to Arsenal that means he is pretty much guaranteed to start so yeah that was pretty much my reasoning, I guess I got alot to learn about selecting my squad in fantasy. Well atleast I got clean sheet on Ramsdale so its decent for me

I had Gabriel Jesus in my team as well, and I don't think he played a terrible game, the preseason games and his form there must have sent a warning signal to the Crystal Palace team and they did a decent job of keeping him at bay, especially during set pieces. Jesus made some decent run off and on the ball, but I'd only consider him a fluke by the amount chance he missed not by the number of chance he didn't get. Arsenal only control a vast majority of the game but the supply line to Jesus was nowhere near optimal, all the team had was 3 shots on goal, two of which were converted and since it wasn't supposed to be an easy fixture to begin with, so I'm still pretty sure Jesus will do just fine.

No he wont, He'd hit double digits with relative ease, provided he doesn't miss too many games.

Almost everybody had Jesus in their team, it was the right decision and it is no coincidence that he was selected in such high numbers. First game did not work out for Jesus owners but it was much less of risk to have him than to not have him and he scores a goal or two. Same goes for Salah, it is just brave or stupid to go without him. You can't win much and you can find yourself catching up to everybody from the start. It is not a sprint it is a marathon, and every single asset will have bad game weeks during the season.

He was only in the game for 40 minutes, and while he made some deadly moves, he was always man-marked; his only move that could have resulted in a goal was the big chance Martinelli missed.

Ipswich Town, FC Nurnberg, Everton, Orlando City, Sevilla, Brentford, and Chelsea; four of their games were against part-time farmers, and aside from the game against Chelsea, we had some internal issues prior to the game.

If he doesn't start providing points when fixtures turn bad, I'll get rid of him for some other in form option with good fixtures. I already have Saka and I agree he is the best Arsenal player for FPL.

Congrats on Mitrović, would have never picked him in million years with the fixtures Fulham has in first few game weeks.

Well the truth is, you never can really tell when his best points would be pouring in but I guess that's the point of the whole thing. You take a gamble on them players and see what comes up. Gabriel Jesus was still impressive in the game despite his not being able to give an asset nor score a goal. He did put out his best, dribbled his way into the 18yard box a few times and even got a rebounced shot, dropped some really golden chance  that could have been converted to a goal and give him that assist he so much desired in that game but, the players weren't in on it.
I'll still try him out in there next game, his price is cool and accommodates other players coupled with the fact that, his a good striker.

Same here, even though it is never smart to do transfers this early, I was afraid of price rise/fall and missing the funds when deadline comes. Kane was plying quite deep and did not look very dangerous while Haaland always looked ready for runs behind opposition defense. DeBruyne is probably the best player to supply perfect balls for those runs so I am seeing a lot of goals from this combination.
