Is free hit = wildcard? If it is then I have used mine because I messed up early on the season. Well it would have costed me 28 points if I didnt use it back then so its all good I guess

No, they are different chips. Wildcard changes your whole team and it stays like that while free hit is a chip that changes your whole team for just one week. Next game you get back all the players you had before. Basically you can change your whole team for just one match day. Best used when something really strange happens. Like a game week with just a couple of games.

Haaland played again today and scored of course, but he got subbed at minute 70. so I expect him to start in PL as well.

Are you for real? VDJ is one of the most composed defenders I've seen in a long time; he rarely makes unnecessary tackles or goes to the ground to stop a dangerous ball; he prevents those from happening with his positioning and body awareness. VDJ and Martinez have very different personalities.

Only 1 yellow card differences though last season but Martinez has alot more tackle per game according to the site but yeah VVD is a big guy so he doesnt really need to throw his body out there like Martinez. Overall yeah VVD is just a much better defenders than Martinez for sure

No, you can't compare the two leagues; the EPL is massive and far more intense than the Dutch league, and VDJ having only four yellow cards throughout the season demonstrates how composed he is because he is always the last man and also the target man for every attacker; I can't say the same for Martinez.

to those with Chelsea players on their team,, we can't catch a break, can we? Not only is the team in dreadful form, now Tuchel got sacked which means Chelsea will be coachless for a while and when they do find a new coach he'll probably revamp the starting eleven (no more 3 atb perhaps?) meaning our FPL picks could be in danger. Tiresome

We will need that bench sooner or later, maybe we don't need 3 playing subs but 1 is a must. My sweet spot is one proper sub, one cheapest possible but still good like Pereira, Neco... and one bench fodder who will never enter.

Getting a bit noxious about whole Chelsea situation...I even made an early transfer for Sterling since Chelsea has so good fixtures going forward. We shall see what will happen but I still think Chelsea will do good in those easy games. James & Sterling are without doubt best Chelsea players so I expect them to play on their position no matter who the manager is.

I'm definitely going to prioritize having playing subs in the 2nd half of the season, I'm just trying to the build my team and ensure the players I have in bench don't depreciate in value, having playing subs especially those in 5m zone for defenders will really come in handy as the season progresses, there will be need rotate your formation and have players with tougher fixture on the bench instead of taking them out and losing half of their increased value, if there will need to bring them back in the next or in 2 Game weeks.

I think there are certain players you can stick with, if you want them as you'd expect them to make the first squad regardless of the manager that club hires, I'm thinking of having Aubameyang, I just want to be sure he's fit enough before deciding, but I'm sure he'd become very valuable.

Benched Jorginho and going to try out another player for the next GW. Still have one more Chelsea defenders but its a defender though so points are going to be low either way

Probably not for now as some City might need to keep winning as the other top teams are winning as well. Aside from that, Haaland is a beast though and I was kinda wondering if he could keep up with EPL with that big posture but it turns out that he could.

I'm keeping James. He's in the top 3 best RB in the league next to TAA and Cancelo. Hard to find another RB from the top 6 who has as much impact as those three. However, I will get rid of Koulibaly, that was such a dumb transfer from my part.

the free hit is such a risky one. You might be stuck with a brand new team for one GW who barely gets any points, or you use the free hit right when the managers decide to bench all those premiums you got with your free hit. Then again, that same team could break 100 pts in that GW, so   High risk, high reward

Double or even triple on Brighton players just a week ago wasn't such a bad idea, but now with Graham Potter likely move to Chelsea and Brighton's game with Palace in GW8 being postponed makes things a bit complicated:

It is with regret that our upcoming #PL match against @CPFC has been postponed due to the planned industrial action on the rail network.

The ultimate plan was to use my first wildcard in GW15 followed by a bench boost in GW16 and then the World Cup free transfers "thing" in GW17.

Guess i have to move to plan B and wildcard in GW8 which is not ideal given the fixtures swing after the intl. break in GW9...and i thought this year's going to be a bit less hectic, i guess not. Gl to those who already used their first WC...

had to see what to do over this weekend, not sure what to do with Salah TBH, to keep him, or change him and put the bench up (my bench is set to zero points, not sure how the bench points are counted in, if there is a way?)

looking at stats, not sure about Mitrovic either, he is scoring regularly, but hoovering around 5-6 points, without goals he is a certain miss in the team (I am looking at 5 points per player as an average limit)

Your bench is used when your first selection of players doesn't play in the game. Game auto subtitues them in order you have arranged them on bench, if formations allow it. You can't play without attacker or with less then 3 defenders/midfilders.

It is arguably less important to have strong bench this season since we have 5 substitutes rule. Even if our player doesn't start he will probably come into the game later on. That being said there will be last minute injuries/covid and than your bench is the only thing that can save your GW.

Really unfortunate for that Brighton postponement. That will be a though GW for me to navigate with 2 Brighton players in the team.

There is probably an even bigger disruption to the entire timeline now, with the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II in the early afternoon of today, It's pretty much likely that all London games, that's at the very least if not the entire 1st-4th division leagues of the country will be postponed for this weekend, and there is also a chance of that happening next week too since the funeral is supposedly a 12-days ceremony. That'd leave us with not further activities at least until after the international break

I mean it was really an unfortunate thing though so there is really nothing to do about it even if the officials decided to postpone it. So far I dont think that there is an official announcement regarding GW being postponed yet due to this right but we probably wont get anything this weekend but its still possible to have them back next week though

Somebody wrote that football doesn't stop in this situation unless FA decides to stop it, some other guy on twitter wrote we will not have PL until after international break. At this point it is speculation, we will find out about it soon enough.

Problem is that fixture congestion is already really high cause of World Cup and there is no space to reschedule these matches.

I am sure Chelsea and Liverpool would not mind a couple of weeks break to consolidate.

What else, your player did not play, 0 points for you.

If I knew about that on time I would maybe prioritise Brighton transfers but it isn't that bad. At least Brighton has cheep players ao we can bench them.

What if we get a postponement of all games which will make even bigger problems for our teams. I had 2 more game weeks to prepare for fixture swing and now I have no way to do so. I just hope games go on as planned, Brighton players not playing I can cover, but loosing 2 game weeks would give me a huge headache going forward.

The FA have decided to postpone this round of fixtures "As a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed.", but look at the statement it's likely that next week fixtures will hold accordingly, or at the very most will be played at a different time so it doesn't coincide with the queen's burial.

EDIT: That'd surely mar my plans at large, for the next game week, initially planned to be rid of Liverpool players ahead of the Chelsea after they're done playing Wolverhampton this weekend, but with two Brighton players on my squad, I have to settle for Salah and/or Arnold still, while being getting rid of Trossard and/or Grob, I could settle for just one from each Liverpool and Brighton if there's any other of my bench players that is likely to have better fixtures with Andreas Pereira also playing against Neco Williams for next week, I might just settle for Andreas.

I see that the official FPL site has updated its info, GW7 fixtures are off as mentioned above but the deadline remains the same. Those who have activated their WC this week or have two FTs might want to look forward to GW9, i personally have doubts GW8 will go ahead as planned but that's to be confirmed i guess.

Prepare for no Prem League football until after the international break, and that is early October...

Postponed fixtures will be allocated to another date. Points scored in these fixtures will apply to the Gameweek in which the fixtures are played and not to GW7

Unfortunate indeed and as we pay our last respect in a boring week, FPL have given me another 1 free transfer and that could have been 4points saved. Perhaps another in the coming week and my 12points would just be gone for nothing.
Perhaps the free transfers might prove useful in future game weeks, to get Rodrygo when his injury free Perhaps.

Why didn't you use freehit chip after the news of postponement and FPL noticed were known? All chips used are given back this week as per their notice. Meaning you use free hit, remove negative points, and then get free hit back

Of course that means you would not receive that additional free transfer so maybe it wouldn't actually help you in the long run.
