I always give up after two or three games, but it's been fun and I want to keep competing

It gets kinda competitive on smaller pool I guess but it could be pretty boring on larger pool especially when you are at the bottom half of the table since the start of the season or something.

And it's even more exciting when you have 2-3 people in mind to beat in the pool; I'm currently ahead of the others, but this Harkorede guy keeps beating me in every pool; he's my number one target in both the EPL and FPL pools, but the closer I get, the farther he gets. I always beat Buwaytress in the pool, and I'm just making sure Hhampuz and Smartvirus stay behind me. I'm coming for you, trofo.

I'm hoping Jesus and Salah put on good shows tomorrow, scoring at least one goal each.

Two goals for Jesus or I might be getting points below the average again this GW lol

About 80% of our pool has Jeseu and Salah, it won't help me much if they both score; instead, I'd like Martinelli to do the scoring because most managers don't have him on their team. That's mind game

I'm banking on Diaz, Jesus and Martinelli to show up with goals and assists tomorrow,, I'm also going with the BTTS & Over 2.5 combo, goals galore incoming (inb4 goalless draw)

Chelsea BTTS & Over 2.5 ruined my Acca yesterday I'm afraid the Liverpool game might end with 0-0 or 1-1 FT.

, i just need Zaha to get something tomorrow otherwise i might end on a red arrow, unless of course, Bowen with his low ownership gets another haul. 🙏

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not exactly the best guy to be benchmarking against haha. I know I should be paying a lot more attention to FPL, and I promised to do better with changing my team lineups but at least I'm paying it more attention than last season.

Progress every season, maybe by 2 future FPL pools I'll get in the hang of it?

But watch your backs, guys. I'm letting you all off easy and contributing to the prize pot. (Seriously why did I even participate haha).

You checked about ownership in our pool or just guessing? I did not check but I am quite sure that more people should have Martinelli at this stage of the season than Salah. And good percentage of those that aren't even playing any more have Salah in their teams for sure so those percentages should be even more in favor of Martinelli.

Talk about wasting a free transfer,, Luis Diaz with the assist but he gets injured right before HT so he doesn't earn the 60min bonus pts. Ffs, so unlucky. Well, time to look for another player to jinx with my free transfer

btw, Liverpoo 11th in the league table, some teams have one game in hand and Liverpoo will face City next week. Grim. I reckon liverpoo will be much closer to relegation zone than top 4 at the end of the month

You got 12 points from Martinelli actually, bonus points get added a couple of hours after the game finishes. He should get 2, Saka 3 and Firminho 1, not really close so I don't see a way for that to change.

Hope you guys don't have defenders from these 2 clubs, most of them with 1 pointers with couple of 2 pointers or 0 points thrown in the mix

I have De Bruyne though instead of Salah. I used to have Salah then replaced him with De Bruyne and this is probably the best decision I've made lol. Anyway, Martinelli scored and assisted so he totally saved my ass this week so Im up by 2 points from the average points this week.

Gotta shape up for the upcoming GW though as I have bunch of Newcastle players and they will play against Manchester United next week


I just realized this like 15 minutes ago that we could opt to use 5 midfielders and 3 defenders or any other way around it like 3 strikers or so instead of the regular standard 4-4-2 draft huh. Dang it, I didnt know about this before lol

How is having James any better with Chelsea keeping a clean sheet and he was left on the bench for most of it, lol. I had plan of taking an -8 hit to get him (James) and Rahsford in, that would have been an epic fail of -5 point and I also would have lost 6 points that I'd get from Andreas, that's a potential 11 point disadvantage for this gw. Maybe Aubameyang not playing too, is actually a blessing in disguise, because if he had ended up with just one or two points, there will be no Andreas getting auto subbed in.

I'm having a night mare of run to be honest barely getting above or below the weekly average, the wildcard seemed to have done more harm to me than good, I should have sticked to my GW12 idea of using it, but it is what it is and smooth see never makes a good sailor.

Finally I can bring myself to getting rid of Salah with that injury, not me think Arsenal would be a redemption plan for him, but then again... I'm already navigating a 12 point deficit for game week 10

Plenty of time still, lots of matches to be played, and lots of bad decisions to be taken (lol), nothing in the pool is decided and probably won't be until the end...

Now only if Nico Willams is benched for Aurier that would be ideal as i have Nico (who by the way was horrible vs. Leicester) as first sub and Pereira (and his 6 points) as second sub.

Player A:  plays the full 90min and scores a goal, gets zero bonus points.
Player B:  comes in as a sub in the 80min, scores a goal and gets on 3 bonus points

You have it written all on the FPL page, I will link it in the end. It is fairly complicated and I don't think anybody knows it completely by heart. Goals/assists/clean sheets give out a lot of points, playing time gives some and even stuff like passing is taken into account. Then you have negative points for yellow cards, missed opportunities, errors that lead to dangerous situations....

For instance Cancelo is always a bonus points magnet since he creates a lot of chances and has high percentage of correct passing in every game. When he gets clean sheet it is usually enough for some bonus points as well.

You know, I saw that a long time ago and have tried navigating around my FPL app but haven't stumbled on the settings and so I just gave up. Now that you've mentioned it, I guess I'll go back and look into the settings although, I'm not sure I would be making a change in my formation at the moment with one of my strikers @Harry Kane having a 75% chance of playing there next game. It might seem like a good chance but, I need him to be cleared on status first.

It was a nice one for Arsenal today, was thinking of getting Saka off my team but, am glad I didn't make that decision as he gave me 15points. Still not winning the rounds huh!

I guess you missed it, it's been discussed a number of time here, especially with Buwaytress asking a couple of game weeks ago, you can play almost any playeable formation, aside from 3-6-1 which, you could go 3-5-2, 4-5-1, 5-4-1, 3-4-3, it solely depends where you want to prioritize your best players but a lot of people have opted for 3 at the back because of the inconsistenticies from the premium defenders, so that's why Tripier, James and Cancelo are like the defualt template.

Last season it was a totally different story. We all played with 5 defenders and 1 forward. Arnold, Robertson, James and Cancelo were destroying and then you add one more cheap full back for extra points. And there wasn't a forward worth the money.

If Liverpool played like last few seasons, we would have them again.

You got that right. There is no chance and the rest of us had 4 defenders on the defence line with the goalkeeper as a plus to bring the number to five which means, there are chances of a clean sheet not surfacing every GW. Not to mention, chances are always there that the defenders won't perform good and are always in line of committing which means, a yellow or red card depending on the gravity of the offense.
There is a lot to learn on this game and those with the experience are surely making thepst points from there level of exposure with not just the game but the FPL.  We are are going somewhere with this and the experience is been good, I can tell you that much.

Yeah I missed them. I was messing around with my formation yesterday and when I clicked on one of my midfielders on the bench, I noticed that I could switch them with the defenders so I tried and then the formation changed to 3-5-2. I would have gone for 3 defenders right from GW5 I think if I knew this earlier, some defenders are getting sloppy so keeping 3 would be enough imo

Yeah i was planning on bringing back Liverpool players from GW12 onwards but now with these injuries....I don't think so. They have bad season and Diaz was one of the better players so far.

So you wanted to get Foden and then settled on Saka. Please share your plans for navigating GW12, I have 4 players from City/Arsenal combined and my team will be rubbish when that GW comes. I'll bench 3 of them and sell one, Haaland and Martinelli are secured but one from Cancelo/Jesus simply has to go. Would never in my wildest dreams bring another player from those clubs right now.

To be fair more then half of players on most transferred list is from those clubs so either I am crazy, everybody plans on free hitting/wildcarding GW12 or people just don't look even one week in front when planning teams.

you gave me a good idea to use Free Hit for GW12, it is either that or go into solid minus

two slow round for me, and sliding a lot, missing Haaland and keeping Salah is obviously worst possible tactics with this type of point system

will put TAA out from the team as well, there is a line for transfers out
