Diego Costa for Wolves, will he be worth a shot to get on the team when he starts getting minutes for Wolves ? I mean at 5.5m could he be worth having on the bench, for the extra 1m difference from the cheapest in that position.

5.5m for someone who hasn't played since mid january and who will probably need a lot of time to get his fitness back sounds like a big gamble to me. Also, Wolves' fixture post international break looks tough as hell (west ham and chelsea away). IMO that extra 1m that you mentioned could be very useful down the road, i'd rather keep it in the bank and go for a 4.5 or lower benchwarmer

Being injured and not playing competitive games since January are two different things; he may not have been playing, but I'm sure he hasn't been lacking match fitness; he's been doing individual fitness and closed-door games to stay fit. 5.5m is a good risk for someone who can turn a starter quickly. Costa will not play second to Jimenez because he has more EPL experience and is more clinical.


BTW, Chelsea and West Ham are not difficult games; both teams are struggling to keep a clean sheet this season. Diego could score a goal or two against those jerks.

Son is looking better and better, don't know if you guys have seen it but he scoredna screamer from free kick today for his national team.

Seems like all he was missing was a bit of confidence. He was supposed to be just a placeholder for Sterling and then later on Salah in my team but now I have to reases.

Same here, but Salah was also not performing and I decided to take Son for a punt against Leicester. I expected one goal or maybe 10 points and another lukewarm performance and then I would immediately change him to Sterling and then later on Salah if he gets his shit together. But Son looked like his old self in that game and he was good for Korea so now he probably bought a bit more time in my team.

Which is sort of unfortunate because he plays for Korea just 48 hours before Spurs game, so after traveling he will be back just for the game and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is benched again.

Why is Gabriel Jesus transferred out every GW? I'm surprised he hasn't been used as a long-term project; I've never seen Halaand, Kane, or Salah be transferred so frequently after each game week. He's the most transfer out player after the last GW, with 72% of managers already selling him out. I have him on my team and only recently acquired him. I'd like to know if he's best used based on Arsenal fixtures because I intend to use him, Halaand, and Kane for a long-term project unless there are injury concerns.

I believe most people will eventually keep having Jesus, or go back and forth with him, the major reason imo is because of how cheap you'd consider him to be, he's almost like a premium player to get for around 8m, that gives you room to work around your budget and put them to better use, it's like having Salah and Diaz unavailable for Liverpool for an entire season with Firmino prize remaining at 8m, he's definitely go to be a should have for majority of the team, and the price tag is literally why most manager who had Son had to ship him out after the second week, because to have 3 premium players on your squad is generally going to have a huge effect on the rest of the funds are distributed and a couple of players you'd be forced to settle for, so with most people in on Salah and Haaland, there was no reason to keep not effective Son, If Liverpool and Man Utd had played last week, I'm pretty sure most of those who brought in Son literally wouldn't have.

Those are not casuals, I would argue that casuals are actually the ones transferring him, he has 170k transfers out and 35k transfers in at this moment. If I was on a wild card, he wouldn't be in my team. Those fixtures are terrible and GW12 blank is a real problem. Most of have more than 3 players for Arsenal and City. Someone has to go and it will not be Haaland or Martinelli, then you are left to decide about future of Cancelo and Jesus. They are great players but not essential for sure.

Stupidest transfer this week Saliba, 200k people brought him in. I would love to hear reasoning behind that one if anybody has anything to say other than he scored big previous week.

I don't think it is anything serious, a bit of notch on leg, but we will see him against Norway, almost certainly

Mitrović is best points per million striker in the game, especially if you have him from the start before price rises (Toney is the only one keeping pace). He has 2 points more then Jesus who is in every team and costs more. He has 9 points less then Kane who is 4.5 millions more expensive. For me only Haaland gives better value and that is just because of captain armband.

with all said, Rashford will probably save his ass this week, since he is under question for next week, and I have 1 free transfer

You know how price tags, selling and buying goes? When you have the player and his price rises you can capitalize only on half of that risen amount. For instance you bought player when he was 5M, he is now 6M. If you sell him now you only get 5.5M in the bank and if you want to bring him back few weeks later you have to pay full 6M and effectively loose 0.5M in the process.

Value rise is precisely the reason why I wouldn't sell him. That is why Martinelli stays in my team till the end unless he starts getting rotated or playing in defense  And both Mitrović and Martinelli seem like players I will want back in my team sooner than later, not financially feasible to take them out then.

Martinelli reminds me a lot of Raphinha from last year, xLively off the charts, cheap, i had him in and out of my lineup multiple times even though i thought i would never sell.

I might be looking to upgrade Martinelli in the coming weeks, two tough fixtures + blank in the next four is not optimal. I've had him since GW1 (£6.0), he's currently £6.6, and i can sell him for £6.5. I can imagine a lot of people selling him (and other Arsenal players) before the blank, and his price is likely to decrease £0.1, which means i won't lose any value. There are a few tempting options at around £7.0, certainly with better fixtures if not for else.

Squad value is the last thing i would pay close attention to, it's nice to have some extra money to spend around but it's not essential, at least not for me.

Let's just hope there are no more injuries in those last couple of international matches, i'm really not keen on taking hits this year...#wildcardless

didn't know about that rule, saw that numbers are not added up, since I can sell him for 6,7, and he is 6,9 on the market, but was not aware that rule exist

will think it through, but Rashford will probably keep him for some time in the team

I am looking at blank weeks, but not too much on future opponents, Mitrovic scored two goals against Liverpool, scored against Arsenal, Tottenham, Brighton, all tough fixtures, and missed against Nottingham, easiest one, you never know with that
there is a probability rising on lower quality opponents, but not sure that it is paying to transfer in long run

Those are surely some of the factors that brought G. Jesus on most teams, he is usre to feature in all or most of Arsenal's fixtures, have playing times, he is good and Arsenal have shown such improvement through previous season, the pre--season games of which G. Jesus performed good and its normal to expect lots of points off him.

As the league might have it, the hypes has got to attract him some attention on the pitch. Statistics has him as one of the most fowled player in the EPL. How can he archived much if his not given that much space to express himself on the pitch.

Something is wrong with the striker's body movement if he is being targeted and fouled more frequently than the wingers while receiving fewer penalties. If you've been paying attention, you've probably noticed that he enjoys running into defenders, always keeps the ball longer than necessary, and loses the ball easily.


Even though Halaand is one of the players in the league who is currently being targeted the most, you won't see him falling to the ground because he knows when to hold and when to release the ball while also making runs in between defenders.

I'm still clinging to Jesus because I have good things in store for him..
