We could also do it for the whole month. That is officially counted by the FPL site and it offsets luck and chips in some way. There would still be a possibility to pull let's say triple captain and gain advantage, it would be way smaller spread out over 4 match days instead of one.

Webtricks winning the round was just rather coincidental, I strongly doubt he's still checking a team at all, he doesn't even make any transfer and got favored that the blank fixtures was in his favor, he's even already short of the initial 100M budget.

Am still surprised at Webtrick, somehow I never took a second look at the table by the end of Saturday and my focuse was more on those higher than myself on the league table.

@SmartVirus, I'd say if you took a 12 points hit and still didn't win the round and didn't end up with 12 points more than you'd have had if you only did the two free available transfer, then you actually didn't make any progress towards your total point for the end of the game.

Well, it appears I didn't win the rounds, didn't activate the free hits to the off negative points but looking back at the state of my team and the points they earned me 3 game weeks (48, 44 and 41) before GW7 of 69, it is an improvement on team quality and my point agrees. The negation should I do the subtraction still leaves me with points higher than those 3 GW.

It's not entirely a bad suggestion but, its the first time participation for some and the more experienced onces have got an edge while luck might he some way to equate this should it be raffled but, this is a competition. To ensure a high level of competitiveness amongst participants, skills could be sort out for and there is no better way to me than the manager of the week way.

Using the chips should count as a disqualifier since, the cold wallet award is only coming now as an addition and it wasn't prepared for by all from the start. There is a level of fairness there.

Well I still have Kane in my team I almost gave up on him after GW1 i Still can't explain how i missed two free transfers when I still have two injured players in my team. I'm surprised I' still in the top 10 after a woeful weekend.

Kane is actually quite great this season, he has attacking returns constantly and if there wasn't Haaland, Kane would be probably best asset in the game. As it stands, Haaland created some new standards in PL and it is difficult to fit 2 premium strikers in our squads.

Anybody watched Newcastle game? Wasn't impressed by Isac at all, he got nice return by converting penalty, but he looked quite out of the game. Should be a bit better when Saint-Maximin comes back and takes a lot of opponent defense players attention on himself.

It's terrible to have left Haaland out thinking he'd not be used to often at the start (or get injured early, like he normally does) and then see everything and everyone before him lose out for not including him.

It does suck especially when you do choose actually good guys (Jesus being mine) but they're so cheap they're also in the Haaland capt'n squads!

I watched Isak and yeah, he did get his debut goal against us, but man he is isolated in the current squad. Maximin is a monster, man, I just feel a bit afraid watching him play, he's running himself into the ground each match. Guimaraes another player who hasn't started his season yet, Almiron looks like this is his best season so far and they had some really slick one-touch football on his wing, but end product a bit haha.

And I find myself not really talking Fantasy =D

To be eligible to win a weekly prize, you must have joined the game before the start of the season or a minimum of two clear Gameweeks before the one in which you are top of the weekly leaderboard. Players who have played a chip (including Bench Boost, Free Hit Triple Captain or Wildcard) will not be eligible to win a weekly prize for the Gameweek that such a chip has been used

So 1st gets 5 tickets, 2nd gets 4 tickets, 3rd gets 3 tickets, 4th gets 2 and 5th gets 1. Lets have fun with some luck factor there, who knows the 5th place might get it lol .

I like the idea of rewarding skill and missing with a bit of luck too, that sound fair enough imo too, but as some others have pointed to maximize the importance and keep the league fun until the end, I'd the tickets are issued out at the end of the campaign, regardless of whether it's a month or a week play, anyone can literally play all their chip over the a month period with little or almost no consequences, If are already giving up on the long term, I rather if it were to be as prizes for the winners or raffle tickets of varying numbers it should be for the entirety of the game, that's where everyone gets a fair chance with respect to their skills, each person playing had the intention to play for the prize to begin if those that get to use their chip had certain goals insight.

That said, It's the OP's call and I'm down with whatever the call is, because I wasn't even expecting that we'd get to have a say in how they should go about choosing the winner(s)

this is really true
most of users that do not watch EPL that much and playing for fun have Haaland as captain, and they do not give a shit about talks that he is not going to play every match, and they are up on the table
while people that follow the news, trying to figure out will he play or not, based on Pep and his statements are trying to left him out, and he scores two hattricks in a row

but all that will eventually stop, and he will probably be missing matches after World Cup, City alone at the top, and kick-out stage in CL

and yeah, regarding raffle, I am more inclined on luck, since it was not announced before the pool, and at this point, we are in different positions for the raffle, if it is based on results

And that is exactly my point. Where will you check that weekly result? Will you look player by player and subtract and add manually after checking chip usage? We are small pool so it is possible but if there was more of us it would be enormous PITA. Official FPL gives weekly result with included chips and transfers even though they will not give those people awards. You are complicating things and inviting people to call you bias after decision. He sees he is top scorer and doesn't get reward, quite possible you have at least one extra PM you have to answer to. When I am running pools I am always going with official results on the page we are using. That way I save myself from writing boring legal statements and tie breakers.

FPL has to have those extra rules to tackle multi accounts and people just playing for the one chosen game week. And there is several thousands of those every single match day.

It's a smaller pool, and manually counting points without excluding chips would be very simple. If it were my pool, I would choose a winner from the team with the fewest bookings.

Why would that disqualify you? Chips are not really bringing much advantage in this part of the season. You used them all I guess and did it magically propell you to the top of our pool?

Month is a long time in Fantasy and I feel like chips should be fair game. Since I will not be using them, it goes to my advantage if they are excluded as well. So by all means we can remove them from side competition 

If we are going for one match day then chips realy give out unfair advantage. But if you exclude them what would you do with wildcarders? GW9 has been pointed like maybe best week to wildcard before season started. My initial strategy was to use it now, didn't go to plan so I don't have it but if I did my team would be a total bust for GW9 since I would count on that wildcard and more importantly it would already be activated to try and catch price rises.

The perfect example is my son. On a good day, he watches his team (Man Utd), and that's not even really the whole game. He'll watch bits and pieces when I'm watching, but he and I couldn't be any more different from what we follow. He knows names, ages, perhaps even the spouses, all the gossip (and he plays FIFA) while I actually don't know much about individual players details other than what I watch and how they perform.

I don't hope Haaland misses matches, but I hope he doesn't progress far in UCL -p Just don't like City! Of course, us saying so will only make Haaland holders even better in FPL...

I've only used triple Captain and WC. I mean, I was at the top of the league for a while after using those, and I know there's no other way to do it. If I owned the pool, I'd give it to the GW1 winner

FPL counts monthly points for us. You have a drop-down menu on league table screen and you can see who was on top of any given month. Select phase: overall is default setting. It counts all the chip points and all minus transfers but one month should have at least 4 match days and it often has even 5 so chips don't give that much of advantage.

I think most of us gave their opinions, @icopress it is up to you to chose what sounds best to you

No, I don't think so, they are just branded complimentary gifts as promotion for platforms, I'd say. Just like the football shirts and scarfs some people (like myself) have gotten a couple of times from SB, these are souvenirs, but would be very useful and since it also promotes cryptocurrency security at large, it is also a plus for BTC and the platform itself.

Not for me, I don't trust Wolves attack at all and I don't belive Costa has the means to turn it around. Too make things worse I fully expect him to rotate with Jimenez and get bunch of yellow cards.

I can already see it, he is in your first eleven, gets last 20 minutes and yellow card. If my players get zero pointers I want them to not play so my subs can come on.

Mitrović will outscore him by very big margin, and if it is about money then I would go for cheapest possible bench foder and take some 4.4 forward. Did not check but few of those guys had to have price falls, right?

I think I understand your drift, I'm thinking of down the stretch too, it's getting to a point where it would be better to have a bench player that'd be offered game playing time, that's where Andreas have come in handy for most people, you can switch him for a defender playing against City knowing he'd get at least one starting point and an extra one for play over 69 minutes. I'm not expecting Costa to start firing on cylinders immediately, but he's a professional and it's going to be about just a matter of time, but my main question is how many alternatives have Wolves got in CF role ? I mean they've been impressive defensively but they've scored just 3 goals this season, joint lowest by any other side, so I think once fit, he'd gets loads of playing minutes.

whole my bench is worth 15.9M
that is all I have to say on that topic, give it a thought, and missing few points here and there, because some starter is not playing, is good enough to have lowest possible value on the bench
with valuable players on the bench, you are missing points every round, and I do not want that

we have more than a week, and two international matches for most good players, so there could be injuries and I am delaying all changing to next week

Could be useful, I mean if you have other useless forward on the bench then switching it up to Costa might not be a bad idea especially with free transfer. He is pretty much guaranteed to play most of the games so it could be useful in the future especially that we are getting near on the international break so everything could have happened later on though
